As much as I like how Brampton's set up, especially if we get the salary cap implemented this season, I just got a job this a couple days ago that starts Monday, and that will send me out of town 11 days at a time. I have no idea what kind of hours I'll be working and such. It might end up making me the most bored and active member in the league. But it also might cause me to disappear for days at a time. May as well play it safe and give 'er to my fave azn.

Yeah, even if the VHLM draft falls before the retirement deadline, we can work something out to get folks into the draft. Right now the consensus is gravitating toward Tuesday anyway, though.

I tend to get pretty bad anxiety in certain social situations, thus I have an incredibly hard time meeting new people (especially at networking events), or even just talking to family members I don't see very often. It generally makes me start grinding the shit out of my teeth. Alcohol usually doesn't even work. Unfortunately I never have seen a doctor about it, so maybe it's just me being a little bitch. I'm sure there there's some way to reframe the situation in the moment though. Maybe taking some deep breaths, remembering that you're awesome, and punching whatever is making you anxious in the face? I don't know. I should see someone about that too.

They're watching it for their idol, the beautiful and super talented Naomi Young, hoping she can lead her Davos Dynamo to victory. She did not disappoint. Just under 12 minutes into overtime in a 0-0 stalemate, Legion forward Evgeni Namestnikov takes a regrettable hooking penalty on Young, who received the puck off a successful faceoff draw by Davey Jones. As she is wont to do, Naomi wins the draw in the offensive zone on the ensuing powerplay. Her chemistry with season-long running mate Jarkko Olsen is especially apparent now, as the two cycle in the Legion zone, receiving no challenges from the defending team. After 30 seconds of this and random shooting, they finally find Shane Baker, who takes like three fucking consecutive shots before finally beating LeGod. Seriously, look at this shit. And with that, Naomi Young became the first female to ever win a Continental Cup. Her continued improvement and development in the VHL is an inspiration to girls everywhere, sending the message that they can run with the big boys if they want to, and be damn good at it.
