Perhaps evidence isn't the right word per se, but one should at least be able to back their opinion up (I'm not saying anyone in this thread or otherwise is or isn't). Though I could see it working both ways. For example if I said, "I don't like the VHLM because you only get 1 TPE/week for the PF," that's a lame opinion and incorrect one besides, so in that regard "evidence" would be useful to me forming that opinion. But the fact I cited a specific reason to criticize the VHLM is also helpful because now someone can respond to me with something like, "UMM ACTUALLY you get 2 TPE/week for PF in the VHLM and therefore you and you're opinion are dumb." And that's a nice discourse! I don't think there's anything wrong with a little pot-stirring (if that's even what she's doing) regardless of how new a member is. Look at @Shindigs ffs, the dude writes walls of text about bullshit and theory crafting all the time, it's just as pot-stirring technically! Was the tense mini GIF/troll spat in this thread called for? No, not really. But that doesn't mean she shouldn't post Media Spots about why and how she thinks something could be better.

- UM TECHNICALLY you can still cap at 12 with a free week vs welfare with a 10 cap. So you get 2 extra TPE immediately and a potential 2 more to hit the cap. Though I’m sure most free week purchases aren’t by people capping, so your point is still valid. - I know you referred to one, but a detailed pinned guide to the Player Store purchases and when they’re most efficient would be good. - “What would you even spend things on?” Introduce a member account that you can buy a team with. - It briefly sounded like you died on air. - I didn’t finish writing this review while listening to the podcast so now I don’t have anything specific to comment on. The comedy category is going to be tough as, Ruutu and Thad’s pods are extremely good. I listened and enjoyed it, eat my ass.

Also, Belize sounds great, have fun! Also, one wouldn’t do meta build because it’s not fun to all but require everyone to build their players the exact same.

Too bad. From what I can recall from testing it years ago, you could be quite right about Leadership being underrated, but it’s to the extent @Shindigs speculated on above. From what I could tell (and remember), morale very may well have a noticeable effect on sims. It seems like teams that start the season poorly (lowering morale) have an uphill battle for the rest of the season. And probably vice versa. However, if you look at two teammates - one with 99 Leadership and one with 40 - I believe you’ll find that their individual Morale will be pretty much the same all season. In fact, everyone on the team has virtually the same morale as each other all season. Which leads to a few questions and assumptions. Does the whole team have to get on board with Leadership and Experience in order for it to make a quantifiable difference on Morale thus performance? Is our base line of attributes being 40 too high for some stats like Leadership, to the point where it’s already at diminishing returns? Therefore I do think it would be worth it for a group of players to get on board to up Leadership to 60 or 70 and see what happens. The potential crux here is bots fucking up the experiment, since they often technically account for nearly half a roster.

This podcast was legitimately amazing and very funny. I can never tell if the stories you tell are completely original or if they’re just VHL remixes of other stories, but either way it was very well done! Hello, I finally got a chance to listen to this! Brace yourself for a patented play by play commentary. - Ottawa IS too good. The boom and bust cycles are insane, and the parity is worse than any other league. - Technically you can earn more points in the VHLM. You get the extra point in PF, and a near capped player has a better likelihood of winning individual awards, which is even more TPE! - I don’t know why we (Halifax) did so badly this season. Almost every team lost their players, and we had more draft picks than most. It just didn’t come together - Jarvinen went SO late in the draft because everyone thought he’d be in the VHLE. Philly did well with him! - Top notch audio clip for “random player showcase” - “Players developing well should be the best players in the VHLM.” YES, THANK YOU! - Mississauga = Mrs. Saw-gaw - Excuse me @lemonan HOW DARE YOU not max earn!? I actually used to boycott welfare. - Drink every time you hear “big” or “boys”. - Coming back to the VHL after 3 years, I was curious what GMs valued as a 1st rounder; high TPE rentals, or good earners who you might get two seasons out of? It’s true! I just record myself rambling incoherently for as long as I need to, it’s great. I remember feeling the exact same way when I joined though. I wasn’t even confident enough to post casually because I was afraid of Internet culture and getting bullied (this was almost 12 years ago mind you). Also PTs used to be graded so there was the pressure of it having to be “good enough” to boot. So I can wasn’t really active with anything for at least a month. It’s truly not all that scary though. Start with something simple and familiar, you can spend 500 words talking about nearly anything. Spend 100 words on how exactly your player brushes their teeth before getting into how their first game went. The spelling and grammar doesn’t really matter. Lots of people might not see or read it. But those that do will be absolutely amped to see a new member getting them TPE! It doesn’t matter if you don’t feel confident in your work, points are points! And it will never be as bad as you think
