Oh, yeah certainly. The value of pending UFAs does tend to be quite low in general though. If anything this is probably the highest return I’ve seen for negotiating rights in a while, and that’s maybe because apparently/allegedly everyone knew he was going to sign. And even so, as far as I know, there’s no rule against making bad trades?

I also came here to say Minion’s jersey swap was superior! I love that Ledge’s tender looks so shocked, and it is cleaner. EDIT: That was supposed to say “render” but it turns out ‘tender is also appropriate. I like the idea of the rain but I do think it dusts up the sig a bit. If it was replaced with a different effect or maybe put back a few layers, that might be better? Overall, Ledge’s is simpler but I think it benefits from that and looks cleaner as a result. Minion’s is more “ambitious” and would probably take my vote with a couple little changes. Both are fine work though.

Wow that backtrack was so fucking loud! (Actually I thought it was an appropriate volume when it was actually in the back) I think you do a good job of communicating and being professional, one thing I’m sure you’ve noticed about being in an authoritative position in the VHL (and probably everywhere else) is that you will never please everyone and there will always be pushback. The trick is to not become completely unglued on people, which is what I failed at back in the day! Maybe I remarked this elsewhere but you did a fantastic job reworking all the CoC and slave driving the mod team in general the last couple weeks, head @tfong should be both ashamed and proud :p. And I’ve definitely remarked on this elsewhere but for me the BOG is an ungainly beast that I just can’t get swept up too much into. That’s why I’m not officially BOG though! Very nice listen, please release the sassy cuts!

People make a very big deal about having a more successful career if they spend more time in the VHL, and that’s simply not true. HOF voting consistently only considers the time you spent in the VHL. My OG player had 6 seasons in the VHL and was amazing for half of them and mediocre for the rest, and he’s HOF. Sure that was 10 years ago, but you can see that with any player now too. Alex Letang was on the HOF ballot and received votes this season, he was good most his career and amazing his last season or two. If you donate the max amount per season, you get a “whopping” 99 extra TPE over your career. And $9M too I suppose, which is a couple of depreciation fighters, which is a varied amount of TPE. Let’s call it another 151 TPE. If anyone thinks 250 TPE is going to be a big difference maker over a 9 season career is sorely mistaken. You’re a perfect candidate to set up a booth at an AIHL game. You can call it “Beers with Boot in Booth.” Hey now, graphics students probably DID make our logos! What do you expect from us as a volunteer league? I love fantasy, I just don’t know how to read.
