Welcome @JamesTalbot7! I'm Jardy, the assistant General Manager of the Halifax 21st, and we would absolutely love a big bulky winger like yourself on the team! I'm pretty biased, but I think we've got an extremely solid roster this season, and we will most definitely be competing for a championship. We've got a fresh roster of forwards, so while you'll be guaranteed depth minutes, you can easily compete for the 2nd line! Moreover, you'll have a chance to grow alongside other fresh faces to league, as well as having a couple greasy veterans like myself be able to assist you with anything you need! Whether you choose to join us or not, I wish you the best in your new VHL career! But if you want to kick off your experience here the right way, you can quote this post with a normal term of acceptance (or something trendy and cool like #BOATGANG), and we can get you started with a contract and a locker room invite.

I don't think there's anything wrong with cornerstoning a VHLM around a veteran VHL member. You've got a reliable strong player and a reliable member in the locker room to help out with the noobs, while the player can help elevate the rookie numbers. Obviously I don't agree with the idea of stacking a team with veterans or valuing them much higher than new members, but with the amount of waiver that come and go over the course of the season, I do think it's an all-around good thing to have a couple vets. That said, I think it would be a fun idea to allow VHLE teams to call up vets mid-season when they reach 200 TPE or something like that. That allows the members to help out the VHLM team for a while until they can stabilize a core of new players, but devalues the re-creates somewhat and discourages GMs from stacking up on them. In conclusion plz come play for Halifax

HALIFAX, NS (PP) - In the Victory Hockey world, rumours were running rampant that former VHL Commissioner Jardy Bunclewirth was looking to once again get involved in a management position within the league. On Wednesday, these rumours were confirmed true when the General Manager of the VHLM's Halifax 21st, Nathaniel Minion (@Minion) named the old-timer his Assistant General Manager. "It feels good to be back in some position of responsibility," the notoriously irresponsible league veteran said. "I'm looking forward to working with Minion and doing my best to usher in a new era of VHL players and members." "As for the team itself, most VHLM teams got thinned out this season, so all said I'm pleased with what we've got in place here in Halifax. Minion has done a good job of collecting what draft picks he can, and I think we have one of strongest defensive pairings in the league already in place with Harry Hagel @jasplunds and Marcel Janser @Morcar80 anchoring the blue line. The 21st have four picks in the Top 20 in the S81 VHLM Dispersal Draft, three of which are in the first round. After that, the team has five more picks in the final two rounds of the draft that the team can fill out the roster with. "The draft is important and we'll be able to build up our bones, but it's the incoming free agents that will separate us from the pack. 1. It is WORLD CUP time! Which team do you support? I've always been a Team Canada homer. Poopy Peepants may never make the tournament, but gosh dang he will be loyal. 2. You get to design your own VHL tournament. What does it look like? Definitely something rude and/or violent. Two people enter a cage, only one gets to exit. That sort of thing. 3. The VHL draft is tonight, and even though Davos has only 4th-rounders, we have five of them. How many--realistically--will turn out to be steals? Ideally, at least one! Maybe @Will's garbage player can drop that far and we can scoop him up and pressure him back to his prime form. 4. What is/was your favorite subject in school? In high school, it was math. We had a really wonderful teacher and it just MADE SENSE 5. What are you wearing right now? T-shirt, jeans, and a cozy robe. I worked from home today. Excellent work, hahaha Thad’s new series is the Thadscape, which is his much better version of a Jardy podcast where he coherently speaks on subjects he feels like. I only insult you because I love you. My podcasts don’t get 1000 views you maniac. Maybe the threads do because I tag everyone and banter with them, but the actual podcasts get from a range of 1-20 listens typically. That usually entirely depends on how many people I tagged and how saucy the title was. Wait, there’s a Spotify button on the forum?
