My end of the VHL continues to be quiet. Locker rooms seem to be napping recently and I’m still waiting for Ahsoka to get drafted in the ProAm. No idea where she’ll end up or how she’ll do in her first showing against veteran VHL players but I’m looking forward to it. One thing I finally go to do was apply my 150+ TPE that I had banked and now I can finally apply whatever comes in. I have a new goal for my scores, so we’ll see how long it takes me to get Ahsoka to what I think is going to be her max build? I’m coming in hot with her and I cannot wait. I have started to try and post a welcome message on any new members who have created just to try and be part of the welcoming committee. Real life continues to be a bit hectic, but things are slowly getting better, I think. 160 words for week ending 10/6/2024

It’s been a very quiet post-season for both Ahsoka and I. With Oslo failing to make the playoffs, there isn’t much for her to do but sit around and wait. And with the death of the E, the locker room fell silent and has become archived, in a sense. For me, I’ve been dealing with a lot of real-life shit so my ability and desire to be around has diminished a bit. Also, with Sam’s departure from Helsinki, that locker room has also gone quiet. I don’t know what awaits me and Ahsoka for the upcoming season with things still up in the air for the Helsinki management, but I hope it’s good things. I did sign up for the ProAm so hopefully that will get going soon and I’ll have some hockey to get back into. And once the off-season button is pressed, I’ll finally be able to apply my 124 banked TPE. Basically, things are quiet on my end of the VHL and I’m looking forward to the next few weeks to hopefully get things moving again. 179 words for week ending 9/29/2024

I have a 30ish minute commute so I get an hour of listening done and I do it at 2x speed. So I can get through 2 hours of a book each day just while driving. I use Audible for the books I want to own and Libby for anything I'm not sure I'll like.

Lol that's fair. I don't usually. HP is an audiobook so that's been my commute listen. The other 2 I pick up when I'm in the mood for them. I tend to pick up and put down physical books but audiobooks I can bang out pretty quick.

Stopped reading for a bit but I'm on a kick again so here's what I've read since my last update: Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets () Dealing with Dragons - Patricia C Wrede (.5) Dungeon Calamity (Dramatized Adaptation) - Dakota Krout (.5) Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them - Newt Scamander () RBG's Brave & Brilliant Women: 33 Jewish Women to Inspire Everyone - Nadine Epstein () At the moment I am 71% of the way through Prisoner of Azkaban, have been reading Eldest by Christopher Paolini one chapter at a time, and have Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness on my Kindle for when I have no internet lol.

Man, who knew I would be going from hall of fame goalie to the number 1 defenseman in the final regular season of the VHLE. I mean geeze. Ahsoka just barely eked out number 1 in points by a single point over Steve French. And all season long she was way ahead, sometimes by double digit points, among all d-men. I am so proud of her, and I cannot wait to see what she can do in the VHL. Ahsoka finished S95 as follows: 1st in Points - 101 1st in Assists – 73 1st among Defensemen 4th in Shots Blocked – 202 2nd in Powerplay Goals – 15 Overall Stats: 28 Goals 73 Assists 101 Points +15 286 Shots 28 Penalty Minutes 67 Hits 4 Game Winning Goals This was her best season so far and I am so pumped for her to join Helsinki in a few weeks. The post and offseason are going to be a lot of work just trying to max earn so that once the button is pressed, I can apply all 100+ banked TPE (currently at 107). 181 words for week ending 9/22/2024

E abolishers win before gta 6? Damn.

This past week has been a rough one both for Ahsoka Tano and me personally. In Oslo’s last 5 games, Ahsoka has only managed 1 little pathetic point. I can feel the 100 point milestone slipping through my fingers with every passing sim. It’s sad to watch my beautifully talented player just be unable to produce anything of meaning recently. She only needed 10 more points but with 8 games left, I don’t think it’s going to happen. She’s just had too many games with 0 points recently and it’s working a little espresso despresso on my brain. That on top of my personal health scare has just made being here hard. I was sick this whole past week which is why I had no 6 point task. Thankfully I had a 4x5 to at least recoup some of that. But being social has just been hard all around and I hope Ahsoka can pull a miracle out of her ass and give me the pick-me-up I really need. 169 words for week ending 9/15/2024
