1. We beat the red wolves in a barn burner of a wildcard series how do we keep it rolling ? We're in the finals now! Hoping we can get a reverse sweep going! 2. with playoffs in full swing have there been any surprises ? Honestly, us. We had a rocky start of the season and look where we are now! HOW DID WE BEAT COLOGNE?! 3. How has your player performed in the playoffs so far ? He could definitely do a bit better... 12 points out of 10 games isn't terrible, but could be better! 4. what is key to playoff success ? Teamwork, which has so many things that are kinda implied like communication and coordination. Minimize our penalties and maximize our PK chances. 5. how was your Christmas with family ? It was epic! It was my niece's first and lots of fun surprises. Topped off with a filling lunch. 6. are you on the look out for any particular Boxing Day sale ? Nah, I usually forget about that kind of stuff! Although, nowadays I'm on the lookout for new tools for my new collection...

Hello, World! Welcome back to another long-awaited episode of Between the Periods! I'm your host, Bobbus Dingus, here with my new friend Leonard S. Kinnard! Leonard here has been a manager for some years now, but is new to the VHL scene. He first started playing as a star forward, made a wild decision to start coaching, and has been working up the ranks in management. His first appearance was representing Team USA in the season 85 World Junior Championship, is currently the assistant general manager of the prestigious Calgary Wranglers in the VHL, and has been re-selected to represent a team in the WJC! Welcome to the show, Leo! Spill the beans for us! Thank you fer havin' me! You know, I don't really do much interviewin' outside official agencies, but we have a mutual friend that I owe a favor to. Anyway, yeah that's right! Back-to-back GMin' fer the WJC to get more time under my currently lightweight belt to show I've got what it takes to eventually manage a team of my own in a regular season. The interview with the WJC commission has always been pleasant and we had an understandin' that I wanted to do somethin' a bit out of my comfort zone and that's what they gave me. So, fer season 86 of the WJC I'll be GMin' Team Asia! I feel like there's a lotta untapped talent out there and I fully intend to hook a 2-compartment sink into that talent and let it flow. Wow! Leo, you certainly have a way with words! Also, congratulations on pretty much taking on a team that you wanted for the WJC. Do you have any concern or doubts about the success you can help bring for Team Asia? Honestly, I'd be crazy if I didn't. Look, last season, GMin' Team USA had me both anxious and excited. I had never done anythin' like this...not at this level. I didn't even think I'd get the job! The best part though, Bob? I couldn't've asked fer a better team. Seriously! I hope I can pull together another fun crew of incredible athletes like that again, and if not? Shoot, ain't no thing but a chicken wing. I just hope everyone has a good time, win or lose. Leo, you seem like just the kind of guy to get the job done no matter what! I'm not trying to brag about you here, but your first WJC you got USA all the way to 2nd place! Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if you were able to bring Asia all the way to 1st. Now tell me, any uh...sneak peak info you can give us about the roster? All kind words! Thank ya, but no. No can do. 'Fraid that's classified until the official announcement. The system of selectin' players fer this team is much different than doin' it fer Team USA. So, fer now it's just a waitin' game and when everyone's got their rosters done, we'll have an official announcement fer ya. Understandable! What are your plans for the future in the VHL? In the near future when I feel I'm ready, I'd love to GM a VHLM team. I've always been the mentorin' type and a lot of these young folk need help steerin' the right direction. I don' really have any particular team in mind, but I feel like that's my next home. That's definitely something I can see you in! Thank you for taking time out of your busy day for this interview and I appreciate what you do so far for the VHL! You know somethin', Bob? I don't understand why Kauppi can't stand you. You're a pretty cool guy in my book. Thanks fer the invite and please feel free to reach out fer future interviews! 634 words, claiming for week ending January 8, 2023.

My journey, as have countless others, started in the VHLM and it was off-season. For the season 84 VHLM draft, my player was selected by the Saskatoon Wild in the 4th round, which came as a slight surprise since the Las Vegas Aces GM at the time @Shindigs was the only one who reached out for a draft interview. I remember scrambling around searching for answers on how to properly obtain TPE before the dread setting in to ask around because I didn't want to seem like an idiot that didn't know how to read. Eventually, I had a routine down of what tasks to do and how to claim them, but I still didn't have a concrete understanding of a lot of basic things like capped versus uncapped TPE. At some point, my player was traded to the Mexico City Kings. The culture in the locker room was alive and electrifying, yet welcoming. Every day was engaging and exciting to be in the locker room, and while I don't expect it from all locker rooms I think it's certainly a contributing factor of retaining first gens like myself. You can all blame that bar being set on @badcolethetitan. #BlameCole In the off-season, it was just racking up TPE and waiting on the VHL/E drafts. I didn't have many GMs reach out for E draft interviews, but I was pretty happy that my player was picked 16th overall by Oslo Storm.. As far as the VHL, I had several reach out and it was a lot more fun to engage with GMs who didn't want to just ask a couple same-y questions most asked and were also more than happy to answer questions I had for them. My player was drafted 17th overall for the VHL draft by the Prague Phantoms and absolutely can't wait to start there next season. @Acydburn has been super helpful in pointing me in the right direction of where I want my player to be when he gets the call up, as well as any questions I have. In this past off-season I applied and was chosen to be the GM for Team USA in the WJC, which was actually an incredible run for someone who has no experience using something like the STHS and we got silver. I also applied for the Calgary Wranglers AGM position and was also chosen for it, which was mind-blowing to me. Not only do @Ricer13 and I get along really well, we also share the same birthday! The locker room is always poppin' and I couldn't be more happy to learn the ropes from someone like him. Playing for Oslo has been fun and rewarding! We've definitely had a lot of ups and downs, but we're slowly working our way back up the ladder. I'm currently capped at the 400 TPE point, so I'm stuck until this season ends to make my player stronger. I know I won't have 900+ TPE by the time the next season comes along and my player won't be as strong as I want him to be, but that's where the fun and grind really begins. It's been a while since the last one, but I started an interview series called "Between the Periods with Bobbus Dingus ft. Nikolas Kauppi" and it was somewhat inspired by Narduar in his mannerisms -- the only difference is Bob asks a question that goes a bit far and pisses Kauppi off. Being on a forum/bulletin board has also brought me back to making forum signatures...something that I haven't done for over 10 years. I love the criticism I've been getting on my recent ones and it just makes me want to do better. I didn't even know simulation leagues existed. If it weren't for my friend @Trunkxolotl I'd still be in the dark about it to this day, but thanks to him I found a place where the teams are driven by GMs with a real sense of passion and pride. The players revel together with their ability to score, defend, and win -- all in hopes of taking home their league's Cup title. A community that takes all these experiences and puts pen to paper to show off their bravado to the world, and rightfully so. 711 words, PT for week ending 12/11.

Calgary Wranglers Press Conferece for week ending December 11th, 2022! Hey, Wranglers! I'll be working on a better layout for our press conferences in the future, but here's this week's! 1. Our last 10 games record is 7-3-0, which is incredible! Where do you think we could use a little improvement? 2. Anything exciting for your player happen in this last week? E.g. fighting, hat tricks, shutouts? Point streak maybe? 3. We've got a solid 6 point lead ahead of Warsaw in the standings, how do you think we'll fare in the playoffs? 4. It's theme week! What do you plan on making for it? If you already have, what type of theme would you like to see in the future? 5. If money wasn't an issue, where would you like to travel to see for a week? 6. How is your favorite sports team doing this season? If it's off-season, how did they do? -
I really love the last one I made compared to this, but the Oslo logo in the text here is honestly the icing on the cake for this one.

1. Oslo recently acquired Rhys Trenton , and Vinny Lecavalier via trade how do you think they’ve meshed with our current team in the locker room and on the ice ? As long as they're cool with wearing sunglasses, I think we'll all get along just fine. 2. We’ve been relatively inconsistent this year , how do we fix that ? It's a really good question, and I don't have an answer for it. I think we've mostly found our footing against most teams, but it's been real tough to get where we are now. 3. how has your player preformed through the first quarter of the season ? Kauppi's performance has been alright. He's had a lot of scoring opportunities, but the opponents' defense and goaltending have been incredible. It's driving me crazy. 4. Oslo is thinking about naming the team mascot , any Suggestions? Torbjörn 5. Winter is finally here and here to stay , what do you prefer summer or winter ? Winter! It's much easier to bundle up and my A/C doesn't run as often.. 6. Who do you think has been the biggest surprise player this year in the NHL so far ? I'm biased towards Dallas, so my go-to here has to be Jason Robertson. He's been on an 18 or 19 game point streak so far, a hat trick last game, and it doesn't look like it's gonna stop anytime soon.

Dang, I think this is the first I didn't even get one 1 TPE in
