actually I'm probably the only person who did worse than him in the first round and as long as he copies me from then on he can't finish in last

    4. BOOM

      BOOM

But I haven't even looked at the scores since rd 1. I saw the message to submit for rd 3 and quoted street :(

  2. Europe going for that threepeat, and it's a rematch from last year's gold medal game against Scandy
  3. gg Wolf I was expecting at least 8 goals total this game
  4. There have been five than I am aware of. S26 Andrej Blazej (21st) S31 Haggard Slobban (19th) S35 Landon Roberts (17th) S42 Travis Willcox (16th) S46 Craig Fernzy (22nd) I don't know that this is a comprehensive list, but if it is I think it's safe to say you'd be the highest drafted yet. You'll pass the combined TPE of those five players during your rookie season.

  6. If we end up expanding, then I'd be more supportive of allowing things to count for both, except point tasks of course.
  7. Lol idk a whole lot about nationalities history but maybe I'll try to dig up some info later @Victor
  8. not sure if sarcasm in opposition to two-player idea
  9. Here's a quick idea that I'm not really thinking out completely but just want to get it out there for discussion before I'm off to work First, I think PT/Welfare should be how Beketov laid it out; I'm too lazy to find the post, but essentially your options are this: 2 PT 1 PT; 1 Welfare 1 Welfare PTs only count for one player Now here's my idea: each season, you must name one player as your primary and one player as your secondary (you can change it each off-season if you like) Only your primary player can get TPE from jobs, predictions, fantasy, etc. Essentially, your primary gets all the extraneous TPE that you would get now. So fleshing out which TPE is accessible to the secondary player is more important. I'm thinking secondary would be able to get any player-centric TPE: practice facility, VHLM rewards, training camp, award TPE. And then of course they could get TPE from PTs/welfare. That's just a quick thought, because it seems people are trying to find ways to prevent someone from having two superstars and flooding the league with them, which I generally agree with but am not necessarily strongly opposed to.
  10. What if three members have 3rd year players on a team together (Phil+Victor+Draper in S47 were all incredible, relatively cheap players for Helsinki). Now let's say they all happened to also have players in their 7th or 8th seasons that were free agents (they could've made preparations to become free agents at this time in particular). Those veterans will cost a total of 13.5M. Let's say the three young guys are all in the 400-500 TPE range: that's another 7.5M. So 21M and you've got six great players on the roster already. If you're looking for a 6-4-1 team, you have 11M for five other players, and considering you already have six incredible players, you won't necessarily need them to be the greatest. But do we really think that's going to happen because I sure don't.
  11. That's especially spiteful because he'd rather be on the bottom.
  12. Damn near turned into a CLEGANEBOWL for 5th place.
  13. pfft, Diana Maxwell has blonde hair.. I've just realized that these are more interesting to read when you are in the draft. Nice work
  14. But even once I get to the point of adding to checking/strength, Maxwell won't get as many hits because of her size, so my career accolades will be more dependent on scoring goals, which is my number one priority anyway.
  15. won't even be the best RW of his draft class tbh
  16. You do indeed have a first round bye as the second place team. Canada is ahead of you because the points are different for the World Cup: 3 for a regulation win, 2 for an OT/SO win, 1 for an OT/SO loss, 0 for a regulation loss.

  18. Playoff Power Rankings At least I got the top four teams right, but that was an easy call. Canada's success has certainly been a bit of a surprise, but overall some of the things that I expected to happen did. Team Canada and Team World have earned byes for the first round of they playoffs, while the expected results in the quarterfinals would see Team Europe and Team Scandinavia to face them. The upset potential is always there for Team Mercenaries, but Team USA is different story. 1. World (+1) After losing a couple games early on, Team World went 6-0-1 to secure the second seed in the playoffs. Lord Karnage is playing fantastic as always, leading in goals (9) and hits (44). Ariel Weinstein is one of the better goalies in the tournament, posting a 0.920 save percentage. The team scored 35 goals and allowed just 27, making them third in both categories and second in differential. They aren't without flaws, however and they could still very well end up without a medal given the closeness of the top four teams. 2. Canada (+2) I can't justify calling a team with Atticus von Braxton as its starting goalie the best, because he's proven to be a major liability. Yes, they clinched the top seed while scoring 38 goals, but they allowed 33. Marcel Faux, recently named the Most Improved Player in S48, continued his upward climb leading the offense with eight goals and 16 points. Canada had three of the top six players in hits in Bronson Faux, Zach Parechkin, and Ted Doughty. 3. Europe (-2) As I expected, if Europe was going to struggle, it was going to come from the offense. With no player scoring more than five goals, they scored the third fewest with just 27 goals; and they were just four above last but eight behind third. Hans Wingate looked solid, and he should be their starter throughout the playoffs. Additionally, while their offense wasn't the best, they did have the best powerplay unit, leading the tournament with 11 goals and a 26.8% conversion rate. 4. Scandinavia (-1) Like Canada, Scandinavia suffers in net. They could easily be ranked higher if there wasn't always the chance that Sven Wolf or Joanna Akerfeldt, whoever happens to be playing, blows the game for them. Akerfeldt did go 4-0 in in the final four games, but three of these wins were against the teams ranked below them. As a team, Scandinavia allowed the fewest shots, took the second most, and had by far the best face-off percentage. However, their penalty kill was last in the league. 5. Mercenaries (-) Following up on his Aidan Shaw Trophy, Sandro Clegane has put up a valiant effort for Team Mercenaries. Starting seven games, he had the best save percentage (0.935) and two shutouts. But the offense could not get going for the team, as not a single player had a double-digit point total. They allowed the second fewest goals at 26, but unfortunately they only scored 23 themselves. They did take a game from both Canada and Europe, but two wins against the United States were all they could add to that. 6. USA (-) They'll have one last shot to win a game against Team Europe in the quarterfinals, but it's likely they'll end up with a winless tournament. As expected, Freedom McJustice did alright, scoring eight goals, but as a team they scored the second fewest. Even worse, they allowed an average of 4.9 goals per game. They did manage to at least take their final two games to shootouts, and overall half of their games were lost by just a single goal.
