  1. 1. I was one of the people who correctly predicted you to win Top Rookie last season; can I count on you to win Most Improved this season? 2. How much do you need to accomplish in your career to not consider it a failure, or is it just enough for you to have made it to the VHL? 3. How good can Quebec realistically expect to be with QUE G as the starting goalie?
  2. @omgitshim 1. With Calgary looking to be a competitive team, should Saskatoon worry that you might be called up? 2. How do you you feel about being picked second overall, with the first overall being another player of the same position? 3. Are you aware that Fabio Jokinen, whom you predicted to win Top Defensive Defenseman, is retired? 4. Have you been in the VHL before, and do you think I would know who you are? 5. Are you looking to be more of a leader on the ice for Saskatoon than you were for Yukon last season? 6. Would winning a second Founder's Cup mean anything to you?
  3. Oh lol I guess I didn't correctly pick up on the tone of the post
  4. I thought we were pretty good in the preseason. We lost this game
  5. I'm pretty sure Rhett DeGrath is retired but you're now the second person I've seen try to pick him so @STZ could you please confirm. I don't want to be responsible for messing up drafts if there is some special reason DeGrath is still playing
  6. I'm already very much not liking my chances this season. Jasper Canmore Markus King @Smarch
  7. That was Slava Aleksei. Aleksei Federov started out as a defenseman, and as far as I can see, he never changed positions. At least, there isn't a post in the position change forum. But now that I see he was being played as a forward, I suppose he must have? It just wasn't posted in the position change forum I guess? EDIT: @Will Yeah, he should be a RW. He switched last season from D to RW but @Banackock is a doodoo head who didn't post it in the position change forum, and his player thread was never changed to accommodate.
  8. Is Aleksei Federov not a defenseman? @Will @Banackock
  9. Last week, I went over some of the best members when it comes to past VHFL success. Moving up the list, we start to get into the territory of members who have been a little more consistent in their success. I will go through the members that I have pegged in the fourth through seventh slots. And similar to the three-way 8th place tie, 5th through 7th were pretty tough to order. But this time, I was able to come to a decision. 7th: @Green: Green has been very consistent when it comes to the VHFL. He does only have one season victory, and that being against relatively weak competition, but looking at his other finishes, he rarely loses to members who are ranked below him. In seven VHFL seasons, only four players outside of the top six have placed above him (with one of those being STZ, who is also in the top ten). He has three second place finishes, and has never been worse than fourth. Although he doesn't usually lose out to people below him, he hasn't placed ahead of too many others in my top ten. 6th: @Bushito: Bushito was particularly hard to place. I came into writing this thinking I would have him at seven, but decided to slot him ahead of Green. Initially though, I think I was going to have him even higher than six. His inconsistency is what made the decision hard. He has won four times in seven seasons, but he placed fifth the other three times. Most of his wins are actually rather unimpressive, aside from one good season against me (in a league that also included Green). Ultimately though, wins are wins, so I've given him the edge on Green, though I'm actually have second (more like sixth or seventh, actually) thoughts on that. 5th: @jRuutu: His placements overall are very similar to Green's, having finished as the leader once, runner-up three times, and never below fourth. In fact, in six of his seven tries, he finished in the top three, and all but one of those were six-man leagues. While he has placed below weaker competition more than Green, he has also managed to place above top ten members more often, so I give him the edge on Green, as well as Bushito. Though, considering how close I think the comparision between Green and jRuutu is, I feel like Bushito should probably either be above or below both of them. 4th: @boubabi: boubabi doesn't have as many VHFL seasons played as the previous three, competing just five times. He has won three times, including twice against multiple other top ten VHFL players. He also has a second place finish, but dragging him down a bit was a fifth of five finish.
  10. Gallo did win one, in S36. So you are up to seven now including S59. It was S30, and the reason he missed it is because I still had you as lightning25 in the spreadsheet.
  11. This Ottawa defense is gonna be great come playoff time
  12. He's not wrong about biased voting though and people are showing that in this thread. Yeah, he's going about this very poorly, but imagine if this was actually close, statistically. Boubabi wouldn't stand a chance in the vote
  13. I mean, he is easily both of those things, so...
  14. Join me in Ottawa dude @Tagger
  15. 1. What do you think about getting your careers started with the Lynx? It's exciting, getting to start things off with a great VHLM GM. Having briefly played here last season and being familiar with the team, I knew there was a chance I would be selected second overall, and I'm looking forward to proving my worth here. 2. Any preliminary opinions on which teams at the VHL level you might eventually want to play for? Any you'd rather avoid? If you don't know, that's fine I don't want to be stuck on a rebuilding team for long, but Davos and Quebec are two teams that interest me if they can make good use of their draft picks over the next couple seasons. I don't really have a strong preference though. 3. How are you looking to build your player? Stylistically, and/or players you're modeling after? During my time in the VHLM, I plan to work on several aspects of my game. I want a well-rounded base to get my career started. Down the line, defense, checking, and strength are going to be priorities. 4. Long term goals? Cups, HOF, etc? Working towards becoming a defensive defenseman, I think it's safe to say I don't really have individual accolades on my mind. Honestly, I'm not shooting too high, so if I could manage to win a single Continental Cup, I'd consider my career a success. At least, that's how I'm seeing it now. 5. Member-wise: favorite hockey team? Minnesota Wild. And I'll always pick them to win in the NHL Playoffs Prediction task if they are in the playoffs. Every time.
  16. Congrats Yukon! Always happy to see the Rush win
