  1. Okay then yeah this pay is certainly reasonable and this position is pretty much exactly what I've somewhat suggested in the past.
  2. As in like the statistics I used to update? (I don't have a problem with this as I haven't gotten them updated recently, just wondering because they aren't actually in any HoF subforum afaik)
  3. Honestly this pay is probably too high but maybe I'm just forgetting about some sections of the HoF.
  4. I have two already but yeah a third would be nice
  5. Part I - Pick em' (Pick the correct winners of all three games for 1 TPE) Game 3 - Quebec City Meute vs. Davos Dynamo Game 4 - Quebec City Meute vs. Davos Dynamo Game 5 - Davos Dynamo vs. Quebec City Meute Part II - Predict the Score (Predict the correct score and winner of this game for 3 TPE) Game 4 - Quebec City Meute 1 vs. Davos Dynamo 2 Part III - Player Predictions (Predict the correct player for each category, 1 TPE for each correct answer) Series leader in points: Lukas Muller Series leader in goals: Pietro Maximoff Series leader in assists: Lukas Muller
  6. But I do agree with trying out this change! Maybe not using the point system exactly as boubs has presented, but I do think trying something new is a good idea.
  7. That's actually not true. It takes just a matter of minutes.
  8. He was, even with the early retirement probably. I don't believe we ever got a Hall of Fame going, but I think he would've been the second-most deserving quarterback by the end of it all.
  9. wow I have no respect for a GM who cares more about his player on another team winning than the team he is GM of WOOOOOW (not being srs though, I understand why you would still have more attachment to Riga in this series than you do to Davos)
  10. a little ahead of the script more like
  11. Is this situation similar to the DAAD situation with Boeser and what was the resolution there?
  12. A long time ago in a sim league far away, @Tyler had a player named Jake Jones. Jake Jones was the quarterback for the team of which I was the GM. While still a relatively young player, Tyler surprisingly retired Jake Jones, leaving my team in an unexpected bind. Tyler didn't recreate a player or anything. In fact, he wasn't super active in the league. It was one of those "I send you links to all the easy points and tell you all the points you have to update" situations. But nonetheless, I wasn't expecting an early retirement when things were going so well for his player. (Relatively unimportant side note: years later after this league went under and I was more prominently a VHL member, I learned from Laker12 that he (Laker) had told Tyler to retire Jake Jones and that was enough to get him to do so.) Tyler has recently been named of the HC Davos Dynamo. That happens to be the team that Diana Maxwell is on, and contractually obligated to for one more season. Although it's just one more season before her retirement, it would be disappointing to lose one of the best players in the league. However, I still remember the Jake Jones retirement, so now it's time to return the favor for that. I will lose out on a season of Maxwell, but she already has a chance at the Hall of Fame while having just an outside shot at either 400 goals or 800 points if I were to continue, so it's not that big of a deal to me. Jk though I'm looking forward to having Tyler on board as GM of the team and Maxwell will definitely be playing in S57. (not for points because I'm a silly dum dum who already wrote a VHL.com article for both of my players)
  13. In Season 54, Guntis Petenis played for the Riga Reign. The team wasn't great, but they made the playoffs at least despite being a rebuilding team. They lost to the Titans, who would go on to win the Cup, in the first round of the playoffs. Petenis was the only worthwhile vet on the team, so the following season, as they were still rebuilding, Petenis was traded to the Quebec City Meute. The Meute were in search of a Continental Cup, but failed to accomplish the goal. They made it to the finals, but lost to the Helsinki Titans. Quebec came into S56 as one of the top teams with Petenis on the roster, but in order to make cap space, they ultimately let him go mid-season. New York picked him up off waivers and traded him to Davos, who are currently in the playoffs. With the Dynamo, Petenis was able to do what he could not with Riga in S54 and Quebec in S55: beat Helsinki in the playoffs. The series went to Game 7, but Davos clutched it out. What I find most interesting about all of this is that Davos is currently up against Riga in the Conference Finals. And, if the Dynamo can win this series, it will likely be Quebec that they would see in the finals. I just think it's interesting that the three top teams remaining in the playoffs all had this one player on their roster within the last three seasons. It's not often that active veterans will go from one top team to another this often (granted, Riga was not yet a top team when he was there). also since davos was able to beat helsinki that means nothing can stop petenis now we championship boys for mist4ke @hedgehog337
  14. After survivor back-to-back must-win games to take the series against the Titans, the Dynamo were looking to ride the momentum and get off to a strong start against the Reign in the Conference Finals. The well-rested Reign put a stop to that, however, putting the Dynamo in a quick 0-2 hole. Not ready to go down quite yet, the Dynamo evened up the series winning the next two in Davos. Markus King has performed remarkably well for the Reign, shutting down the Davos offense in the first three games. In Game 3, Rhett DeGrath was just a little bit better, as the veteran held on through two overtimes waiting on the Dynamo offense to score. It was Diana Maxwell who finally closed out the game, recording her first goal of the series on her game-leading 13th shot of the night. The Dynamo were finally able to break King down a bit in Game 4, scoring four times. Rusty Trombone had two goals and an assist, earning first star honors. The power play, which has struggled in the playoffs thus far, clicked in this game for the Dynamo, as they converted on three of seven chances. for Maxwell
