Kowalski Not Losing Faith
STOCKHOLM - On opening night, the Stockholm Vikings kicked off their new franchise right with a big win over the Toronto Legion 2-1 in a shootout. Since then, however, times have been dark for the Vikings, as they have not won a single game since. They have gone 0-22-3 in that time and have a league-low five points. Despite this, they must carry on and continue to work hard to move past this season and perhaps no one has exemplified that better than rookie defenseman and team captain Jack Kowalski.
"It sucks, it really does, but we knew coming in that this was going to be a really difficult year," said Kowalski following a 7-0 loss against the Wranglers at Calgary. "But when you have a bright future like this team does, you just have to lower your head and do your best to weather the storm. Reinforcements are on the way, so our biggest goal this year is to grow as players as best we can this year so that we can provide the foundation for what the Stockholm Vikings will become."
The Vikings will look to break the streak as they travel to New York to take on the Americans.
