Q: Close series against the Bears but once again we have come out on the losing end; What do you think needs to change to help the team get past the Bears and go deeper into the play-offs? A: I think just the younger players need to develop a little more, and we should be much more competitive. Q: Seattle versus Calgary in the next round, who are you picking or does it even matter? A: I've kind of lost interest in it, but I'm rooting for an NA winner. Q: Prague Phantoms were eliminated in the first round after being a very strong regular season team; since we had the same happen to us last season. What would you say to the Prague players in condolence? A: You can't really control what happens in the sim. It doesn't take away from a good season - keep grinding. Q: I always find it weird when the NHL matches up with the VHL is some way; Do you find it weird or more interesting and are you still watching the NHL play-offs? A: It is weird, but also kinda cool. I'm loosely following, but not watching any of the games. I've been watching the Petes play as they are on TSN now with the Memorial Cup. Q: Off-season are tough and boring so what are you planning to try to break boredom? A: Just keep grinding TPE. It's hard to log on as much in the summer, but I know grinding all summer will lead to a fun winter with Analfist. Q: Riddle: Why is it so boring to eat at a restaurant on the moon? A: No fast food there

The Wolves have put themselves in the worst position. We went 0-2 in the first sim of the WIldcard round. After being pretty solid all year against LA, we get Vendelayed. I still believe we can bounce back, but it will take a lot. We will need our top guys to start putting the puck in the net, and the rest of us need to dig down and protect our net. I think it's possible for us to come back, but we've definitely made it hard on ourselves. In the same breath, the Leafs season is over. After getting out of the first round, they fell 0-3 to Florida and put themselves in a really difficult situation. They won game four but fell in game five. There have been excuses made, and a lot of controversy in that game five - but at the end of the day I don't think we can realistically expect the Leafs to beat Florida 4 straight (especially in playoffs when the game is different). I'm still happy as a Leaf fan, and hope they bring back Dubas. My guess is they find a new coach and likely have to make a hard roster decision. Outside the league, things have gotten busier with the start of summer. Already been out golfing a couple times, and have had a few get togethers with friends I haven't seen over the winter. Summer also brings on busy work schedule, so trying to maintain that. I am reconsidering how much I really want to be involved with the league, as it just feels kinda like the same thing over and over again. I'll continue to update Analfist, and I enjoy following sims and being a part of the Vancouver LR.. But it's highly unlikely that i'll consider league jobs at any point in the near future.

1. It was pretyty close between Maple and Eagles. I think Maple takes the edge with the 5 GWG. He wasn't quite as physical, but he was better offesnively and was clutch when we needed him. 2. I think our core team was solid and really came together - however, I don't think it was a coincidence that it was after veteran Kyle Peace joined the team. He went for 26 points in the 40 GP with us, and had 5 GWG and an insane shot percentage. Can't stress how huge this trade was mid-season, I think this player is the unsung hero. 3. Analfist was better in his two way play - he was +17 while McFluery was -14. However McFluery was more productive and was not playing top line minutes. I would give this to Oreo. 4. Good question.. Probably just giuve it to a prospect on the roster.. I think a roster member can still be considered a prospect. 5. As stated in Q2, I think Peace will need to be replaced as he was an integral part of our comeback and run into the playoff picture. 6. Just to keep grinding TPE. That's all I can control.

Wolves are rollin. We look to be secure in a Wildcard spot. We've been quite successful recently and against playoff teams, at that. Analfist has been decent, but been on a more secondary role with the team. I'm totally fine with his play, as I'm more interested in seeing VAN City get success then Analfist. WIth that being said I want him to be an effective player, and he's been solid with 20 points in 64 games. Overall I think the season has been fun to follow, but I hope to help the team more in Playoffs and next season. Maple Leafs are breaking my heart. Fuckin team has been solid, but they just can't get the job done. It's tough to watch. I don't even know how to eleborate on this lol. Just sad. The weekend was pretty solid. Watched UFC last night and today went out for my first round of golf for the season. Didn't play the best but definitely nice to get out and get the first swings of the year out of the way!

1. Low risk trade. It creates depth for the team, I like it. We are loaded with future players right now, so the picks aren't really needed. Great trade imo. 2. I'll say 31, just because it's probably not an even number... I dunno, maybe it is... But I do more than enough league math in trivia, I'm not doing it here. 3. I get excited. It's always interesting to see what kind of last minute tweaks will be made to the line-up in order to ice the best team possible. I've never been moved on TD, so I suppose that's why I'm never worried. 4. Yes. I think we already have a chance - a pretty good one. I know the standings only tell part of the story for our team. We are an improving roster, that have been red hot as of late. I think even if we were to make no trades, we still have a shot at a solid Championship run. 5. I think we could add depth to our defense. I really don't think we need to make any big changes, though. Frank made some pretty big ones mid season, and even right before the start of the season with Nezuko. 6. A. I think making playoffs and being competitive in the first round would be a successful year for the team.

1. I spent some time with Jake Wylde in QC. I can’t think of any other HOF player of note that was a QC main player. He’s definitely not the best franchise player but one of the best that put on the black and white. If we are talking all-time franchise guys might be Valiq or Brovy? Sorry, I only really know QC stats off the top of my head! 2. I would say Wylde. he went into the Hall with some pretty amazing defensive stats, in addition to offensive numbers. 3. Skylar Rift was a big time QC player. He had some big time success. I think he was maybe the most dominant goalie in Wolves history - when I think of a goalie putting the team on their back. 4. I’ll say the team Frank won with last. Screw the meta teams haha. Still sour as a Moscow alumni lol. 5. Absolutely. I would love to see that happen. I don’t mind being in Vancouver - and it would be hard to explain a move from VAN back to QC considering how big of a hockey market Vancouver is. But QC will always have a special place in my heart in VHL history. 6. E

The Wolves have been solid. We redeemed ourselves after a tough start to the season to be comfortably sitting in a Wild Card spot. Impressive mid season adjustments by management. Very proud of the group for staying positive and sticking with things while times were tough. I think we are going to be a scary wild card team. I can’t post this without mentioning the huge win for the Toronto Maple Leafs last night. I’ve been a fan nearly my entire life. I’ve seen them have success in playoffs, but that was in grade school. Through thick and thin I’ve followed this team. Pretty special night last night to see them get over the 19 year drought of first round exits. Obviously there’s a long way to go for them, but as a fan that has watched them flutter out year after year - this was nice. Theme week was fun. I did a graphic on Bratislava, a VHLM team I was GM for when they expanded with Yukon. It was a very special time - it was fun looking back at some of the rosters we had. I remember coming up with the Watchmen name and cookout scheme from the Sherbrooke Phoenix of the QMJHL. It’s always nice when the theme week hits in the nostalgia bone.

I was doing a rookie card/signature for every new member at one point. it was an incentive program where they had to reach a certain amount of TPE and then I would make them. The cards were on a new template each Draft Class, so it was kind of like a limited edition type thing.. but yeah, the VHL Auditor thought I wasn’t doing enough to earn job pay doing all those graphics lol..

The Wolves are surging.. We are on a four game win streak, and all four wins were against playoff teams. LA, NY, Seattle, London. Pretty impressive considering how tough of a start we had this season. Frank has made some amazing mid-season adjustments and has tweaked the roster into something pretty special. I like the idea of getting the back-up games out of the way and then shipping Freeze out. Then moving Saka, as he just wasn't meshing well on the back end. He signs a solid FA replacement on defense, and then add a retiring player in Peace to the forward group. Overall, high grade for Frank for the moves made this past week or so. The conferences seem to have levelled out. AT the beginning of the season it seemed as if the EU was very heavy, but it's looking like the standings are starting to level out. Likely a result of the overachieving teams starting to come back to reality. Still very interesting playoff picture - can't wait to see how everything plays out. I just got back from Great Wolf Lodge with the family. Spent three days and two nights there - complete chaos. It was a lot of over-stimulation; tons of noise, kids everywhere, chlorine in my pores. My daughter had a blast, so it was completely worth it. But everyone is completely wiped. I'd be lying if I said I'm battling to get all my TPE tonight.

1. Hell yeah. Definitely going to get into playoffs. Not sure what team we knock off, but the boys are buzzing and we are going to make a run here. Big trade to acquire Peace, I think we look dangerous! 2. It's hard to say. I think all five teams are strong, and it's insane to think one would be the odd man out. NYA might be the team that falls out, I can't see Calgary dropping like the RL Flames did. 3. They did, only because we just got Saka. The trade has paid off immediately though. Clearly there are times when a change of scenery is needed. The fact that Frank went out and made moves as he saw the chemistry with the team wasn't there, is great to see. He definitely knows how to build a winning team. 4. It will definitely improve. At the end of the day we all are responsible for defense and our Goals Against. We can't rely on a depth mid-season FA signing to change that - it's on the whole team to get better. 5. I actually don't think we will be forced to move anyone next season. There is a good possibility there's a trade, but there's not a situation where Frank will be forced to move anyone. Once Oeo and Analfist come off their rookie contracts, that's a different story.. 6. I don't think there's ever been an elephant in Antarctica... But likely they would just call it an elephant lol...

You don't even know how pumped you got me for a second there...
