  1. So I'm here infuriated because I lost two TPE from Trivia. One was a question with questionable wording, and the other was due to me having to look up the franchise captains. I think we should restrict trivia questions that depend on information found on the forum. The forum is horseshit. I actually even went to look up the players questioned in the Goalie Career Playoff GAA and two of them weren't in the portal. When I went to look up their HOF Article, their Playoff stats weren't even listed. It's like I'll get 5 questions a season that are just completely horrible. Whoever submitted that GAA question should get a two week league ban, and @N0HBDY should take a 2 week PT Ban for approving that. imo. Got FISTED ANALLY BY A CIRCUS MONKEY for a VHLM GM position. I do understand the reason they chose that VLG kid, but there's also a part of me that just watched some other first-gen get a VHLM GM job over me and then go IA (yes, saying you have irl shit going on still counts). The biggest downfall of this league is losing our new members, and we are trusting them with new members who are a helluva higher risk to flake than someone who has been in the league longer than some have been alive. Anyways, I'm not bitching - the commish did reach out, and obv I have a ton of respect for Spartan, and I know he reads my bullets (lol). But I felt like it needed to be said. I have a good track record as VHLM GM of pushing new first-gen members into loving the league and sticking around for many players. But yeah, maybe I'll apply again when another opportunity comes up. Weather has been nice, and been enjoying the time with the family. Next weekend we are taking the kids to an indoor waterpark, so pretty excited for that. Heading out for a couple days for a work meeting, so I have a busy week where I'm actually only on the clock for like 12 hours. So a nice little break from the routine!
  2. Im interested

  4. VHL Related, Analfist has started his VHL career on the Vancouver Wolves. I'm more focused on getting my cup totals up with this player. I think I'm pretty happy with what I've done with building successful players, but it's kinda sad that I only have like three cups - One with Osborne and two with Unassisted. I'm happy to be on a team that is managed well. I think my focus isn't necessarily on Analfists stats than watching the team win. Very happy that Frank made moves to bring my player into the fold quicker. Unrelated to VHL, today was my Daughter's 9th Birthday. Pretty special day, but very exhausting as we also had Easter celebrations as well. For her birthday we booked a weekend at an indoor waterpark called Great Wolf Lodge - so excited for that ina couple of weeks. Summer weather is here. Just watched the Masters all day today, while it was nice and sunny. Hoping it stays that way and maybe start playing a couple rounds myself.

  6. 1. I actually didn't follow the VHL Season at all last year. I'm glad I got four preditions right, and they were all Vancouver Wolves predictions, coincidentally. 2. He definitely has a chance. If a goalie has won it once, it always shows that they have it in them to repeat. I think if we stay strong in front of him and limit our opponents to outside shots, he can put up some big numbers once again! 3. Yes, definitely a nomination for sure. I think it's interesting they chose to leave him out, and I wonder if it was in order to recognize more players/members. Still a pretty amazing achievement. There was a time when there was only one defenseman award, and it was all that really mattered. I still think the Labatte is a very prestigious honour. 4. I have Frank winning GM. I think I have a few others, but I don't know if I'll do a last minute change to avoid the jinx. 5. I really hope so. I think it does matter. Getting a good seed, and proving that lines and strats work, is important. I would love to win a cup in Van. That is the ultimate goal for this player. 6. He's bald?

  12. So, the draft happened this week. I was kind of prepared to go either #2 or #3 in the draft as DC didn't even reach out or have any kind of communication with me. I knew Toronto was interested at 3rd Overall, but I wasn't sure if Helsinki was very interested. I heard from one of their players, but their GM and AGM never contacted me. I'd be lying if I said that was a big red flag and had I went to any team that didn't reach out to me, I probably wouldn't be as committed to the team as I have been with previous players. However, best case scenario happened and a team actually traded up to get me. Vancouver Wolves GM @Frank moved a bunch of future picks in order to get my player. I've played with Frank on many different teams and have been pretty close to him especially in the graphic community of the site. I really like the guy, and if I'm being honest, the number one priority for me is to get on a team where I mesh well with the GM. I'm extremely excited to have landed in Vancouver, and they seem to have a really solid core member group there. I think I'm especially excited to really grow with the franchise and help continue a very solid legacy the franchise has. It has been a long road to the VHL - I think it's opened my eyes as to what it's like to be a new member. It's inspired my to apply to be a VHLM GM, because I think I could offer a lot to that role. I was really underwhelmed with the experience leading up to the VHL, but I know I've found a good home. Frank actually went out of his way to try and get Analfist into the league faster, even though I was prepared to endure a year in the gulag E. I've found some inspiration in being overlooked. I'm usually pretty motivated to be top of my draft class, but now I have motivation to make Analfist great in terms of the trade that Helsinki and Vancouver made. But most importantly, I've cemented myself as NUMBER TWO. That is my fifth player drafted 2nd overall. 3/4 of those being HOF players, notttttabigdeal...
  13. That’s what’s up
  14. 1. It’s a fair and understandable trade. The cap system in the VHL is quite punishing for teams that have active players. I think to get a decent pick and the cap relief it’s fair value even with Preo being a stud player. 2. The second was more surprising. I didn’t really follow Vancouver much before the draft, but I think nabbing a first is pretty great. Whether it be to draft a prospect or as a trade piece in the future. 3. I wasn’t here, so I don’t remember Bob. Welcome back, Bob! 4. Didn’t not expect to be drafted by Vancouver earlier this week. I couldn’t be happier joining you all. Very excited for this opportunity to help bring a cup back to Van City! 5. I think with aging players it’s about communication. I think everyone has the right to know where their players future might be headed. If you’re an active player and they are aging, I think the GM should show the respect to keep you in the loop for future intent. 6. I think we are an 8/10. We will need to overachieve to be successful in playoffs. The young guys need to step up to help the depth of this team. A challenge I’m excited to take on with Analfist!
  15. @Spartan @Gustav I apply for future openings.
  16. With the first overall pick, the Blessed Team is proud to select… F - Igor Molotov @Dom

  18. Ottawa, Canada. Fresh off a Founder’s Cup Championship, Ottawa Lynx top prospect 5nubbed Analfist looks ahead to Monday’s draft. Analfist is currently ranked as the number two player in this year’s draft and likely the consensus top forward prospect in the draft. However, insiders are saying that the scouting reports are off, and don’t be surprised if Analfist slides down the draft board. There were virtually no scouts or management meetings with Analfist or his agent up until late this week. Not a very good sign for a player who was hoping to be selected my a lottery pick. Insiders today have informed Analfist and the STZ Agency that there is significant interest in the defensemen Jacob Stone and The Undertaker. Some rumors of goaler Merome Dilson could be taken before Analfist. It’s not hard to imagine a scenario where teams start getting reactive and if a team is looking to get a defenseman, there are at least four VHL ready defensemen in the top ranks of this draft. Could Analfist slide out of a lotto pick? It’s hard to believe that with the track record of HOF caliber players in the STZ Agency that a player would not be considered a sure-fire pick. However, there could be doubts as to whether this player is the real deal or not. We are only two days away from the draft, so it won’t be long to see how this all plays out. It is rather interesting to see these last minute developments and what kind of implications it has on the careers of these young players.
  19. Review: This is really nice. I think the coloring and concept is good, I think the render placements are the only thing hurting this. I love the simplicity of this. The text is perfect, and the logo on the bottom makes it look professional. I like the idea of having the green helmet and jerset, and the other two jersey changes are pretty decent. I think the bottom layer (biggest render) and middle layer (left render) are in good positions. However, the top render is just in a really awkward spot. It's reaching over and covering both of the other renders' mouths, and it just looks out of place. I actually think this would have been cool to have some green lighting on the smallest render as the focal point. At first glance this is really good, and if the render placement was done a little differently I think I'd score this a lot better. Still, great job 9/10
  20. Review: Love this one. Reviewing as a wallpaper, as the full size image is a lot clearer - so everyone viewing, reccomended to do this. I love the text, I think you did a great job as the focal point. The gradient on S87 looks pretty unique after it's been put through your effects sorcery. The shadows are neat although there's some weird lighting going on where there's like a light that is on the shadow. I think if you just kept it on the render via layer mask it would have kept the integrity of the shadow. The cup looks cool, it's almost like a cutout effect that is cartoonish. I like the jersey change and the render effects are nice and not overdone. Some of the pink tones that came out around the render kinda throws the coloring off, maybe a bold stroke over the render would have been a better option as you have the red jersey over the red BG. Great work overall though 9/10
