It wasn't time consuming at all, I did 0 research for this (as a general rule, if I'm not getting a hefty boatload of TPE, I'm not researching shit). I'd already looked at Victor's chart and followed along with that thread just as part of browsing the forums, then came down here and wrote this, and the VHLM part was from memory (hence not really saying a whole lot in that section in terms of numbers).

Was planning to do Chris Monday night (working 11pm-7am but only because the regularly scheduled person busted her knee, so she's doing the actual work I'm just walking the papers back so I'll be sitting there doing mostly nothing). Tonight we've been pretty dead so far though so I might be able to get Chris done tonight (7pm-7:30am) then do Coach Monday. Can't guarantee it though, and this is not me claiming Coach, not until Chris is done anyway.

Beketov's post about retiring jerseys made me kind of evaluate recent contributors to the club. It's hard to really have someone worth retiring in the VHLM, since players tend to spend one season and then go up to the bigs, so how much did they really contribute to the VHLM team in the long run? I wanted to do one for now, and there will likely be another after the season, but the Ottawa Lynx need to show appreciation for a longtime VHLMer, who finished his career here with us and is now plying his trade for the Toronto Legion in the VHL. Paul Dimirio Jr actually spent more of his VHLM time in Saskatoon than he did in Ottawa, with 6 seasons total, 4 there and 2 here, but the thing that stands out to me, and why Dimirio is the first Lynx jersey retirement in a long while is that he chose to come here as an active free agent twice after his draftee rights years expired with Saskatoon. Dimirio bought into the team philosophy in S60, when we tried to make a run for the cup but lost in game 7 of the finals to Saskatoon. He chose to return in S61 despite the brief retool and the fact that we were only a mediocre team that year. This is the type of guy that isn't typically going to make the headlines, he's not the top TPE earner or anything of the sort, but he's been a great servant to the club prior to his promotion to the VHL. Obviously with player numbers being such a small part of the sim, I'm not going to make a rule that no future Lynx can wear 13, because I'm not going through all the player pages to check, so it's more a symbolic retirement than anything, but the banner of Paul Dimirio Jr will hang in the rafters in Ottawa into perpetuity. @124715 @Beketov here's one

Given the choice, and if all else was equal (contract length and money, destination interest, etc) when you hit the VHL, would you rather join a team already in its contention window, or start off with a rebuilder and grow with the team? 2. When the careers are all completed, where do you think you'll stand compared to your contemporaries such as Kriketers, Pepper, Mertz, Smith, and Weekes? 3. Member questions now: what hockey team are you a fan of? 4. Do you follow any other sports, and if so, what are your teams?

Solid win here, even with Durgen in net and everyone still in weird spots - glad we had the second day of preseason, needed it with the roster moves. Everything should be sorted for the regular season

Ottawa roster errors: IN - Roctrion King (from Yukon), Chace Trepanier (signed), Dan Wilinsky (signed) OUT - James Lombardi (to Vegas), Athanasios Andrianopoulos (to Yukon), Tomos Walker (to Halifax) I'll do up a thing of lines with OTT LW1 and the like in place of the additions, and just leave it to be directly substituted when the rosters get sorted.

So wasn't Lombardi, I have him still. Check your roster in this game, compare it to what you should have, and let Higgins know so it can be fixed for regular season. That is why preseason is a thing. You do the same @ShawnGlade

Ok so of course there were always going to be some early roster inaccuracies, with a file this size it's not entirely reasonable to expect you guys to nail it first time. Great job getting this out at all, but here are the issues with the Ottawa roster: Lombardi was traded to Vegas Andrianopoulos was traded to Yukon We got Roctrion King from Yukon Tomos Walker was traded to Halifax Signed Chace Trepanier Signed Dan Wilinsky
