Claimed for Week Ending April 29, 2024

Great times

Yeah. Presented by comedians. It's insanely well researched on so many stories - the Black Plague episode was fascinating, as was the rugby team who survived a plane crash in the mountains (you may have seen the movie Alive or Netflix show Society of Snow about it). The comedy cuts some of the horrific things they discuss so it's easier to digest. They also have stories about cults and paranormal activity.

I’m not mad, just disappointed. Obviously missing out on a generational talent is tough to swallow, and considering how synonymous with calgary his Player Agent is, even more so. But I love da Bearz so there you have it. I’m a troglodyte so I haven’t had the pleasure of reading or seeing or listening to any other ideas. I’m sure they were inferior to my idea though - get rid of Stockholm Vikings out of spite and relocate to the former vhl team Madrid Thunder 35 because it’s a pure guess. hmmmmmm I have so many, but probably potato chips. Alcohol for sure. A nice whiskey or IPA, depending on the mood. Tequila Pinks have their charm too

Official “what do you do for a living” Thread
Phil replied to Beketov's topic in Off-Topic Discussion
Thank you! The job market here is garbage! I was a Regional Manager for Recreation, Fitness, and Aquatics and now made the switch into Corporate Financial Analysis lmao. Whatever pays the bills, amirite!? -
Phil Knight, who is a veteran presence as a player agent in the vhl community, has recently come under Scrutiny due to his players’ lack of quality. Phil was inducted into the builder Hall of Fame way back in season long time ago. He had 3 Hall of Fame players to his name and had done wonders to the HOF section of the vhl among numerous other contributions to the community. Since then, he had failed to secure a player who would make the Hall of Fame and has been a pretty peripheral member. Strasmore is in his final season and will not even be mentioned in hall of fame talks (nor should he be). Since coming back full time to the vhl, P Knight has signed Marleau, Johnson, and Strasmore - all who have been mediocre. So has he peaked? He declined to comment but there are critics out there who think he should step back from the vhl. It’s doubtful that he would and with a new player committing to joining the agency at the trade deadline, it seems we will see a 10th player from the Builder. Details remain scarce but we definitely will want to see a more prolific player coming from under his wing that we have in this age of the vhl.

good! Feeling pumped about the start of the season. It’s my last one so I have to make it count!! oh, I kind of answers this backwards. Feeling good! Spent the off-season really fighting off depreciation and I think I did a pretty good job of it! lots of changes indeed. The moves are pretty strategic, as it allows us to stay competitive while also setting us up for the future. didn’t look into it deeply. Definitely grabbed a couple of key pieces to carry the franchise forward though. career highs in some stat lines. Preferably assists and shots blocked pastrami on rye. Because delicious

TBH, no, I don't think it's weird. In Europe - it wouldn't be even a question to consider. in NA, it's only weird if you make it weird. Otherwise, it's just fine. I'll join you if we are ever close enough!

Starting a new job on Tuesday. It's in finance, so I'm brushing up on my excel skills. Made pancakes for my little dude and had the in-laws over. Was a chill day. Doing the laundry now and watching a show. Gonna ignore F1 and watch the re-run in 7 hours haha.

1) who you got for vhfl? 2) what do you think about Wills return? Is it a bluff?? 3) how’s Calgary looking for Strasmore’s final season? A dark horse to win it all?? 4) what would you consider the “golden era” of the vhl to be? 5) you’ll be creating your 10th player soon. How does that make you feel? 6) any surprises this off-season?
