Phil got a reaction from Scurvy in Strasmore Looking to Leave His Mark
Is Strasmore urinating in public again? The title of this article would indicate that, but no! It's all lies.

What it is actually referring to is that Strasmore is entering his 3rd season in the VHL and after two solid seasons, he feels like he hasn't even ramped up yet. He's hoping to change that this season.

The giant is poised for a huge boost in efficiency and performance. He's put in a lot of hours at the gym, is on a high after winning the World Cup with Western Europe (with fellow Wrangler @Daniel Janser, has a brand new 4-year deal with the Wranglers (courtesy of GM @Ricer13), and the team atmosphere is nothing short of shaking with hyperactivity.

The defenseman for his efforts didn't just earn himself a new contract, he's also moved himself up in the Calgary Roster (and earns himself the respect of fellow defenseman @Rhynex Entertainment ) - no small feat considering Calgary were the overall best team last season. It looks like this season they will still be a dominant force. With their core still intact, they also, during the off-season managed to somehow acquire a fantastic netminder @Doomsday Lindbergh.

The alternative captains were also announced today, sending more hype into the Wrangler-verse. @leandrofgand @jacobcarson877were the ones named. It's not a surprise, as these two studs have been intricately woven into the fabric of the organization for a long time.

So again, why did I bring up the possible public urination meaning in the title? Well, if Strasmore actually ends up doing it, it would be completely accidental and like a puppy just wets himself in the excitement of this new season.

    Should be a blast

    1. The S86 World Cup champions are Team Western Europe! Congratulations to all players involved! Also, congratulations to Team Nordic (WOOHOO!) for Silver and Team Canada for Bronze! Who did you expect to win it all?
I had an inclination that Western Europe would finally bring home the Gold. I don't remember us winning it since we did back in the 40s with me and @sterling as the defensive duo Phil and Jeff Hamilton. We won 2 golds in our careers. Feels good to recapture those glory days.

    2. Now that the WC is over with, we have SIMS starting soon! The indexes are posted, simmers announced, and the calendar says...season starts Wednesday (Jan 25)! Are you nervous? Excited? Anxious? HYPED?!
I am super hyped. I have moved up in the roster and ready to step out of my rookie contract and into my big boy pants of a contract.

    3. If you're doing predictions this season, how do you think you'll do compared to last season?
I stacked them in favour of Calgary players so I should get at least a couple. I had a lot of points from predictions last season so I probably won't do better this season.

    4. Who do you think has the best celly on the team?
celly, as in, cell phone? Probably Ricer. He'd need all the memory and processing speed to deal with us ragamuffins.

    5. If you could be any kind of bird for a day, which would you choose?
    Penguins. Fuck ya.

    6. Is VR the future?
I think R is the future but maybe it will be in a V way. It's definitely a completely immersive way to game, there's no doubt!

on a more serious note, it is an honour to be a Captain for this team with all the people past and present I had and have the pleasure to interact with. Calgary is one of the original eight teams (and one of two to never have had a name or location change) and it is a privilege to play for and lead a team like this.

I wish to extend my thanks to the management as well as my peers for the trust they put in me to lead this franchise to new (or old) heights.

We are a day before the start of the regular season. We just finished up our team votes yesterday for our assistant captains and are ready to make our formal announcement on who is going to be our leaders for season 87.

Alternate Captain: Landon Wolanin @jacobcarson877 is returning in his second season as an Alternate Captain for the Calgary Wranglers. He has been a natural leader for this team since he joined the VHL and is now being rewarded by his team mates who selected him to be apart of the leadership group.

Alternate Captain: Leandro Goncalves @leandrofg has been voted to be an Alternate Captain for the first time in his career. He has always been a leader for this team but is now getting the recognition he deserves. He has always put the team first and that’s exactly what we expect from a leader in n this team.

Captain: Daniel Janser @Daniel Janser is returning for his third season as the teams Captain. He has been apart of the leadership group for 5 seasons now. This season it only felt right to give him the Captaincy as he has proven time and time again that his heart if with this team. He’s dragged this team to the top of league over the past few seasons and I expect he will continue to do the same as we chase that elusive Continental Cup.

Congratulations to our Captaincy Group. Now let’s get to work and have another successful season in Calgary.

    1. It's training camp time! That means season 87 is just around the corner. How prepared is your player?
Not at all! I'm surprised Lloyd has been called up to the big leagues this early but I'm ready to give it whatever I can manage to help out Ricer and the team.

    2. The drafts are also complete. Did you watch any of them go down?
I did not! I know Spartan probably does quite a bit for the VHLM show but I just can't find the time to get involved.

    3. The World Cup is upon us! Who are you rooting for?!
Rooting for whichever nation I'm in the system for I guess? This is another thing that unfortunately falls to the wayside with being less active.

    4. How pumped is your player for the new season?
Stoked! Hopefully won't be an absolute disaster on the ice in the VHL but we'll see!

    5. What time do you usually go to bed?
11 p.m. EST is my ideal bed time but later lately due to Fire Emblem addiction.

    6. What is your favorite day of the week?
Saturday for no work and relaxing!
  18. Very Nice

    1. It's training camp time! That means season 87 is just around the corner. How prepared is your player?
I am prepared to get that sweet sweet 10 TPE. Let's work on POKE CHECKING. I am lit up for this upcoming season - but first - the WORLD CUP!

    2. The drafts are also complete. Did you watch any of them go down?
I did not. I was too busy preparing for the World CUp and training with my homies. We tight and we like it that way.

    3. The World Cup is upon us! Who are you rooting for?!
Totally rooting for WEstern Europe. It's been a while since we've seen Gold (well, held Gold) and I think we have a decent shot at it this go around. Let's do this.

    4. How pumped is your player for the new season?
Super pumped. Pumped harder than a ****star. I just signing a 4 year deal to stay in Calgary so buckle up folks, it's going to be a long and bumpy ride!

    5. What time do you usually go to bed?
10:30. I have to. Otherwise, the kid will throw me for a loop and I won't get a proper sleep.

    6. What is your favorite day of the week?

Friyays. I like Friday afternoons the best. People generally stop giving a shit about work and then you've got the whole weekend ahead of you!

We have now received the final auction item donation and have made the donations to SickKids and St. Jude. When accounting for the VHL's $1000 donation match our total to be split between the two charities is a staggering $4,762.73!

For the sake of transparency here are the confirmations:

The sections redacted are just personal information so don't worry about that. Additionally you will obviously notice the St. Jude donation is lower; that's just because SickKids uses CAD and St. Jude uses USD so we converted to USD for their donation.

Absolutely amazing job blowing our wildest expectations out of the water once again everyone!
