All of this really hurts Seattle. It really hurts me. I feel down over this during a time in my life when I’m already struggling. I let them know they’re being traded and I wake up to a single message saying “I’m retiring”. This deal was looking after the entire team. We’re better than our record and just needed a solid forward… we got it!!! And then we didn’t… Surprisingly, this isn’t the first negative and miserable interaction I’ve had with this member where I felt like I had to jump hoops and kiss their ass nonstop just to appease their ego. But this doesn’t just hurt me like the member wants, but the entire team. It’s negatively affects every player on the team. We now lost a promising prospect for nothing because their GM traded them and did their jobs, they got butthurt and quit/retired out of retaliation.
 

 I don’t know why people are like this. It’s a game. This move was good for all sides involved. 

 

I’ve been really stretching my soul and self to get to 50 seasons, to get to 2,000 wins… but man.. my soul is so tired.. my mind is so tired.. I’m so over dealing with shit like this and whiny people for 48 seasons and counting.

Whoever the M GM is that this player fucked over, too, I’m so sorry that I traded them away to improve my team and make the experience better for my members. I’m sorry I caused you to lose an asset valuable to your team as well.

CJ Daniels was in original trade and supposedly claimed to be retiring but he's not retired on the portal so dunno what's going on

A trade wasn’t posted. 
 

Add prospect CJ Daniels, who retired this morning out of retaliation, from

seattle going to Los Angeles. 450-ish TPE, S97 prospect. 
 

I told them before the deal was posted they were being moved. I woke up to “I’m retiring”. This player also caused me strong grief at the start of March with something similar. They tried forcing themselves up at 400 TPA and I explained why the benefits outweigh the cons for staying down massively. I gave them 4 options, basically begged and pleaded, kissed ass as GM’s do and it left a bad taste in my mouth. 
 

It was that and improving Seattle why the trade was made. I looked after the team as a collective last night. CJ. Daniels wanted to remain on a contender (so Seattle) but look at our roster, picks and prospects. Can anyone else smell a rebuild coming? VSN??? lol

Maybe he’s just being a drama queen then.

 

I do believe @InstantRockstar is okay with the original deal so as long as the player/prospect doesn’t retire. LA was very excited to have him, all the players were really excited. Idk why you’d want to stay in Seattle at this point.

I don't know, the player claimed to be retired is not retired. I approved the initial trade and don't believe there needs to be a voiding at present.

I’m not defending him, but you said it, “it’s a game”. Who is to tell someone else how to play it? I hate the whole threatening to retire - but also, it’s kinda a fun variable in the game where your prospect can go nuclear and become a LR cancer.
 

Also, don’t let a game stretch your soul. That sounds painful. sounds like you need a break bud.
