What low scoring era? Just because individual stats were overall lower doesn't mean goals league wide were. Yes one player didn't score as much as the top 5 used to, but look at how close the top 20 or 30 of players are. Scoring is just more spread out among players. Other than Kallis most of the goalies were just as average as they usually are, indicating that scoring wasn't really an issue. Kallis was just stellar, finally. How far he stands ahead of competition easily is Most Outstanding.
