Status Updates posted by Devise

It just dawned on me that status updates are more popular and get more posts than most actual threads on the league. #NewChat

Sitting in a great pub in Kingston waiting on Draper or Jardy to sim and finding it funny that I type Jardy so much on my phone my autocorrect knows it.

Anyone want to make me a new sig since I'm on a new team? Qubec colors, Evgeny Kuznetsov as the render. Please Please, thank you so much.

@eaglesfan036 You should be less worried about Quebec and more worried about the fact that your an imposter! Seriously a proud ignorant American as the GM of Calgary? The Wranglers haven't ever been as good as back when the Western Canadian drunk himself @JardyB10 used to GM. From @diamond_ace to you, the Wranglers have been a lost cause for seasons now.

My players are always a lost cause. Going to have to try better than that.
Consider that in the past twenty five seasons you and your predecessor have only each won a single Cup with Calgary. A long cry away from the dynasty days of old, when you could consider them one of the best franchises. I mean the only thing separating Calgary from Quebec or Cologne is one Cup win in that time. It's been clear for a while now. Toronto has replaced Calgary to join New York, Helsinki and Davos as the teams who frequently win a championship, almost in every new player era.

Well theres nothing i can really do about what happened before my tenure. From s44 to s46 calgary won a cup and made 3 finals in a row putting us well over quebec who hasnt made a final since ive been calgary gm. We were 1 win away from winning back to back cups but thats just the way things go sometimes. Im not unhappy at all with calgarys recent history though obviously toronto and helsinki have been more successful in this current era

First season in a while that we got zero announcements for the open of the season Captains. Combine that with a quiet off-season, some draft issues, and a late start to the season? Eek. Hey guys, The VHL is still alive and healthy right?

I did figure it out this off-season actually. I concluded that the change, even with "sane" statistics, is too drastic to be worthwhile. To put my findings in perspective, no one of the playoff teams were much better than one another (with their pre season rosters even), Quebec was good, Lincoln and Tebowgow were consistently the best players, Koenig and O'Malley were consistently average/bad.
In short, it turns everything we think we know about good players and good teams on its head, and the consistency is even worse for wear. As for TV and GV stats, they're entirely randomly awarded as well.
