  1. Thanks for the assist, @Victor
  2. Since we got our 3rd defender and my playing time has taken a hit, I've been playing a lot better.
  3. Yeah 99 to 92 or 93 is probably just as good as 50/50 (maybe 33/33 counting puck handling) when it comes to the decision making in the sim. @ADwyer87 what's your puck handling and skating at, could factor in, too. If you're puck handling is lower I think you'll be more likely to pass or shoot when you could be skating it further into the zone. Possibly?
  4. Maybe your higher passing means you're passing more frequently than you were previously? From articles I've seen about Wolf, he's supposed to be a play maker, too so maybe too many passes. IDK, I'm no expert lol
  5. If this doesn't require me to submit lines with the sim index thingy, I'll apply. My personal laptop took a crap so I only have my work computer for now.
  6. Review: Your = possessive, owned by you You're = you are "they would of repeated" should be "they would have repeated" or "they would've repeated" As for the content, this was a very good article. It'll be interesting come playoff time to see how Toronto performs. Keep up the good work.
  7. Review: Nice article here. Well done. Didn't notice any grammar or spelling issues. I think when talking about the VHLM draft it was a little confusing. You said with the VHL draft loaded he slipped to the bottom of the first round selected by the Ottawa Lynx. Otherwise good job.
  8. Review: Sounds like a bunch of excuses to me Just kidding. Great article here. Very easy to read. Format and everything looked good. I'm sure Wolf will be fine when he gets his TPE up a bit. Keep up the good work.
  9. How many guys do you think will actually get decent TPE with their second guy? I don't just mean in general, I mean of the ones chosen, how many will make good to great players?
  10. I don't have a bio yet. Could probably get started though.
  11. I already wrote an article about my 2nd player. Good luck finding it now though.
  12. You could have sat on the bench the entire 2nd and 3rd periods and still had a hat trick.
  13. New Additions The Quebec City Meute have played five games since the addition of defenseman Thomas Duddy and center Thaddeus Humbert, going 5-0 in those games. The team as a whole has played much better since then, Felipe Rodriguez in particular. Rodriguez celebrates a goal with his teammates. Throughout the first 41 games of the season, Flip had only managed to score five goals while tacking on 19 helpers. He totaled 98 hits, 75 shots (6.67 shooting percentage), and 59 blocked shots. In their last five games, he has scored once, added six assists, and has maintained a plus-six rating. Off the puck, he has thrown the body around efficiently amassing 21 hits with only one trip to the sin bin, a holding penalty with less than four minutes left in a 3-1 victory over the Express. He had arguably his best game of the season this past game when he had two assists, a plus-four rating, three shots, and five hits against the Vikings. We caught up with Felipe to ask him a few questions about the recent additions to the team. Interviewer: “You guys seem to be hitting your stride right now. How much have the recent additions to the team contributed to that?” Flip: “I think they’ve been a huge help since stepping into the lineup. Duddy, for certain, has helped me out significantly. He’s allowed me a little more time on the bench so I can catch my breath and be more effective when I’m out on the ice. I think it shows in my recent performances. I’m so glad to have these guys with cup experience on the team and in the locker room.” Interviewer: “There’s a lot of speculation that after this season, the team is essentially breaking up. What do you have to say on that?” Flip: “Seems like a lot of guys are wanting to test free agency in the offseason. To be honest, if they leave, we’re pretty much screwed here in Quebec. We’ll have no draft picks, no really young players, and pretty much no players period. I hope if we win a cup this year, it will attract free agents. If it doesn’t, oh, well. There’s nothing anyone can do about it. We’ll press on. Sleeman and I just extended our contracts so we’ll be here ‘til the bitter end.” Interviewer: “We reported recently on possible reasons for your down play this year. Can you give us any insight into your surprisingly low numbers this season?” Flip: “I just wasn’t playing as well as I should be. I know that sounds like a lame answer but it’s the truth. There are a lot of talented guys out there but only two can get credit for the assist on each goal. If you look at my plus-minus rating, you’ll see I’m out there for quite a few more goals than I am against but the point production isn’t there. What am I, plus-38 this year? I only have 24 points so I think the points will come, I’ll get a lucky bounce here and there and my point total will improve over the back half the season. Oh, and as for the speculation, you guys were way off base. I just wasn’t playing well.” Interviewer: “Sorry to cut you short but we’re running out of time here. Thanks for sitting with us. See you next time.”
  14. Review: You could have closed this out with a quick paragraph Didn't notice much in the way of grammar problems and saw no spelling errors. May have overdone it with the quotes but that's just personal preference. Nice job with this. Nice to see some good writing for the bio. It's usually the only time people write a lot at once in these leagues so they tend to be some of most neglected pieces. Best of luck to Jelen moving forward. He made quite the improvement for his senior season so it should be interesting to see how he can transition here.
  15. Review: Maybe I missed the previous edition of this or something but the "Subtractions" section throws me off a little. There were some sentence fragments in there that probably should have been combined with a sentence using a comma or something. Ex: That's not a sentence on its own. It was kind of choppy to read with all the short sentences. Not saying you need to make these huge long sentences either, it's just my opinion. Keep it up though!!
  16. 0 points and a -1 when we score 7.
  17. Wouldn't anyone on his team be his teammate? I don't get the distinction here lol This whole thing read like you were really short on words for a high school paper and you added fluff to get it to the wordcount needed. Not sure if that was the case though since this was well over the words required. I would be careful with trying to use the semi-colon and extra adverbs as the extra adverbs come off as redundant at times. Overall, I can't really complain. It was an easy read and looks like you spent some time getting it done. Nice job. 760 words so no issues there. Had all the strengths and weaknesses required.
  18. I really hope you're wrong.
  19. Had a 4 point game last sim. And Podarok better step it up, he's on my fantasy team lol
  20. Review: Great stuff, man. I really liked the flow of this and the use of embedded quotes. Nothing really negative to say. Few grammar or spelling issues but nothing major. Looking forward to seeing what Hardy can do.
  21. Probably the best game of my career.
