Felix Peters waited a long time and Alexander Sauve went a long time between inductions, i didnt agree with VHL dropping the induction to 1 player per season. i think it should have been kept at 2

I joined the VHL way back in 2007 when I was about 12 years old. It has been a love hate relationship on the VHL. I have had a player in the first decade, the 2nd decade, I went inactive throughout the 30's, made a player for the 40's and finally have been back for good since the 50's with a player who has been VHL caliber 600+ TPE so far in each of my last 4 players. Let's look at the last 4 players who I consider my best. Shawn Muller Shawn Muller was just named after my fav Soccer player in Thomas Muller. He might be my most successful player as he won the cup in Season 51 with the Riga Reign. He finished somewhere in the top 75 in career scoring but has probably fallen off a bit since then. However, in the playoffs, Muller was top 10 in VHL scoring since then. He might have fallen out of the top 10 since then but he was the player I had the most fun with. Shawn Gretzky Gretz was named after Gretzky of course. He was supposed to carry on the momentum from what Muller created and finished with the most TPE of any player I have had with 895. He finished with 674 points in 575 games. Which is quite impressive which begs me to ask the question, what if I cared a little more. Gretzky also had 93 points in 81 games in the playoffs, Gretzky made the playoffs in 7 of his 8 VHL seasons. He may have been my best shot at the HoF so far Shawn Brodeur Broduer was supposed to be a successful foray into goaltender as he was my first goalie creation. It didn't turn out that way as he spent some seasons moving around rebuilding teams before winning the Continental Cup in Davos. Other than that, Brodeur was subpar. Which is whatever, being a goalie isn't that fun but it is what it is. Shawnomir Jagr Jagr is the most I have been active since Muller but the numbers just have translated that so far but he has been improving each season since being drafted. It remains to be seen if Jagr can turn on the jets in the 2nd half of his career. As I still yearn for the HoF at least once with one of my players. There is the history of TLO07's in the "Portal" era in the VHL

GM: Jason Glasser (792/412/327/53/877) Former GM(s): Jardy Bunclewirth (504/172/307/25/369) Record (after S20): 1,296 GP | 584 W | 634 L | 78 OTL | 1,246 P | 3,788 GF | 4,471 GA Playoff Record (after S20): 95 GP | 49 W | 35 L | 11 OTL | 3-1 vs TOR, 1-1 SEA, 1-1 vs HEL, 1-1 vs QUE, 1-0 vs DAV, 1-3 vs NYA Season 37 VHL Entry Draft Round 1, Pick 8: Travis Boychuk Round 2, Pick 15: Jack Ryan Trades (season): None Season 37 Regular Season - 72 GP | 8 W | 59 L | 5 OTL | 21 P | 120 GF | 309 GA The Calgary Wranglers improved albeit by just 8 points in the standings. However, any improvement on last season is something to be proud of for those in that locker room. Henrik Larsson lead the team in scoring once more with 60 points which is a career high. New defender on the team Damien Sandow was the top defender with 51 points. Martin Brookside and Rock Star shared the crease this season both put up decent numbers at 0.919 save percentage (Brookside) and 0.912 save percentage (Star). Brookside seemed to be the better player in net but not by much. Michael Haan and Lucas Lessio made their return to Calgary after some seasons away. In the end though, this was two back to back seasons most Wrangler fans want to forget. Season 37 Playoffs N/A The Calgary Wranglers did not qualify for the Season 37 Playoffs. Trades (off-season): To (S36) D - Godavari YumalatopintoTo S38 CGY 1st (RW Bruno Wolf)S38 CGY 2nd (C Seth Rollins)S38 TOR 2nd (D Spud Murphy) This trade at the time just looking at it, didn't make much sense to me. Looking back, it looks just as bad. Godavari is a fine defenseman but why did the Wranglers need him? They were coming off back to back seasons of 14 combined wins in 144 games. This wasn't going to work out and the Wrangelrs gave a CGY 1st, a CGY 2nd and a TOR 2nd. Just the 1st rounder may have been a good deal but the 2 2nds are jut plain bad but after seeing what that 1st turned into, it was just a bad trade overall. To S40 CGY 2nd (RW Ryan Cattrall)To (S34) LW - Steve Tremblay The Wranglers continued to trade away picks for players as they picked up Steve Tremblay for a S40 CGY 2nd. Not sure what GM D_A is going for here. A quik rebuild? Doesn't make sense to me anyway. Awards: None Overall: Henrik Larsson broke into the top 20 in Calgary scoring with his 164 points in 216 games. Sandow turned out to be 16th in Dman scoring and about 44th overall with his 1 season 51 point output. Haan, Smith and Lessio are in the late 40's to early 50's as well after this season. El Shaarway is 59th with his 14 point performance. Rock Star and Brookside are 9th and 11th in wins but they have pretty decent counting stats with a 0.919 save percentage and a 0.912 save percentage. Overall, it was another season to forget for the once proud franchise. Calgary Wranglers Player Stats
