Gudnason reacted to jRuutu in S56 VHL Awards
Slightly on offense... I had 9 more points, but still +14 on Digital at +/- rating. Riga scored more goals than we did btw.
Sure, Digital had more hits, but what about my fights? Kinda falls under the physicality category, no?
To simply put it, I truly believe I put in more effort in this season and I was the better defender. 4 people voting in the award is a joke.

Frank's dealing with it this year. I believe he's collecting votes at this point.

Gudnason reacted to Tyler in SEA/DAV; S56 off-season
never said he was untouchable said it had to be a good offer. A first round pick + an active player isn't a bad offer at all.
also if you were getting 6 pm's an hour you would have done the trade too

Fun fact: you've had 1 player more than me and I've been around 27 seasons longer.

Gudnason reacted to Devise in S57 VHL Draft Lottery
Those percentages only come into play prior to the lotto happening. The reason NY had a 75% chance of getting 2nd overall, is because the last place team can only bump down one spot. Which means that if any of 9 (STO), 8 (COL), or 7 (SEA) win the lottery, NY would of automatically defaulted to 2nd. As they did here. The only way NY doesn't get 2nd overall is if they win the lottery.
The reason for the other percentages before the lottery happens is due to situations when a second draw is needed. Because 8th (COL) won the lottery, there is no need for a second draw as 7th (SEA) stays in at 4, and both NY (10th) and STO (9th) drop down a spot.

Lol wtf is this allowed. Remember something about future considerations for draft picks not yet available aren't allowed.

Gudnason reacted to Spade18 in New Sheriff In Vegas [1/2]
Over the last few days, reports have been pouring out of Las Vegas that Spade has taken over as GM of the Founder's Cup Champions Las Vegas Aces. The franchise is the most recent recipient of the highly touted Founder's Cup, which is awarded to the team which wins the VHLM playoffs.
Despite entering as the #1 seed, The Aces were not favored at the start of competition. The team had been dealing with GM issues since about the halfway point of the season, only beginning to put together some impressive wins after Komarov's Agent @Gooningitup Stepped in to take them helm and steer the team toward victory.
Spade held a press conference early today to address his vision for the team, and the upcoming draft.
S: Good morning everyone. Thank you for the warm welcome. It's my honor to be taking the helm of the Las Vegas Aces. I see great things in our future. I will take any questions now.
R: Your team captured the Founder's cup last season. Where do you see the team going from here?
S: This team was flooded with talent last year. Komarov, Jones, Gudnason, O'Callahan, Brodeur, Rayne... these are not talents you just replace over night. With such a deep talent pool going into the VHL this year, it may be a few years before we see such great competition in the VHLM again. The Aces will do their part to groom the next generation of talent to send to the VHL.
R: Do you think the team has a chance to repeat next year?
S: 4 finals in 4 years would be an incredible achievement. I will build the roster best I can to achieve that. But to be perfectly honest with you, I did not take this team over with the sole intention of winning championships. Of course I WANT to win and will strive to make my teams successful, but The VHLM is different from other leagues in the sense that we are taking first year pros and facilitating their transition into the big game. I came here to make sure that we welcome new players into the VHL with open arms and they learn what it takes to compete in our leagues. It is my sole focus to develop players that become long term options for the VHL. And if we happen to win as we go? That would be great.
R: Do you have a plan for this years draft?
S: This one I'm going to play close to the vest for strategic reasons, but I can guarantee any player who comes to Las Vegas and is willing to put the work in will be rewarded for their efforts. I strive to have a good reputation with the GM's from the VHL. I want them to see that a prospect started in Las Vegas, and know that they will be getting a top grade prospect.
R: The VHLM has a reputation for teams moving around under new management. Do you have any plans to relocate the team?
S: I do not. I want the people of Las Vegas to know that The Aces are here to stay. I want to grow a culture of hard working, winning hockey in Vegas, my predecessors have done a great job of laying down the foundation so far. I now take it upon my to build this franchise into the crown jewel of the VHLM. Thank you all for your time, we'll see you Thursday night at the draft!

Well for the purpose of my mock draft, fuck all these trades @Tyler did and he can still pick Colton Rayne and Boner to carry Burger King.

Gudnason got a reaction from Spade18 in Anderson's Mock Draft
1st overall, Cologne Express, Chase Keller @Kendrick
The Cologne Express have traded away their first round pick in the past two years, and although under new management now, Christopher Miller has publicly stated he is not opposed to the idea of trading it away for the third consecutive year. With almost a bare cupboard, they will pair Chase Keller with prospect Kriztof Mueller to form a formidable 1-2 punch. While both natural centers, neither has progressed their talent in that aspect to a serviceable level, so expect one of them to move out to the wing. @ADV
2nd overall, New York Americans, Casey Jones @der meister
It's no secret that Vince Wong has a special love for Casey Jones, and taking the leading point-getter from the VHLM with the second overall pick is not a question here. Already having secured the talents to elite winger Takashi Fujimoto, Jones will be the building piece on defense in front of rookie Ike Arkander. @STZ
3rd overall, Stockholm Vikings, Ko Kane @BluObieZ
Tyler Barabash will nab shutdown defender Ko Kane at third overall, with the hopes of trying to persuade pending free agent Vernon Von Axelberry to resign in Sweden. @Bushito
4th overall, Seattle Bears, Keaton Louth @Beaviss
The Seattle Bears will be pleasantly surprised to see Keaton Louth still available at fourth overall and Blake Campbell will no mistake by drafting the highly-touted rookie. A future All Star caliber defenseman, he will fit alongside Aleksei Federov nicely. @Banackock
5th overall, Riga Reign, Colton Rayne @Spade18
Benjamin Zeptenbergs has completed his forward core after a recent trade with Davos saw Riga trade for John Locke and Rusty Trombone. With Bobby Digital now retired and Elijah Dotran retiring at the end of this season, they will select Colton Rayne and hope he can have a future career path similar to Niko Bogdanovic. @hedgehog337
6th overall, Toronto Legion, Jeff Gow @Fire Hakstol
Bo Boeser can't do it all in Toronto, so Travis Boychuk will take winger Jeff Gow. Already set in goal and on the blue line, the selection of Gow will give the Legion two All Star caliber forwards a season after relying on solid depth players. @DollarAndADream
7th overall, Calgary Wranglers, Boner @Corco
Having picked up Shawn Gretzky and Motherfucker Sharpe to bolster the forward corps, Austin Gow will select Boner to add to the blue line depth the Wranglers already have. Ranked by some as the second best prospect in this class, Boner seems to have hit a rough patch as of late as he hasn't developed as some have hoped. With rumours that he will be taking part-time classes on the side after turning professional, Calgary chooses a high-risk, high-reward player one year after taking a gamble on Ho Lee Fook. @Bring Back Chat
8th overall, New York Americans, Shawn Brodeur @TheLastOlympian07
Although the Americans already have Arkander in the pipeline, Shawn Brodeur's availability at eighth overall is too good to pass on. Expect Brodeur to overtake Arkander as the new goalie of the future, and for Vince Wong to find another exclusive import to bring into New York instead of Arkander.
9th overall, Cologne Express, Phil Bennington @Phil
Cologne will take Phil Bennington with their second pick of the evening, as they cannot believe that New York passed on him. Bennington is the best player remaining, and along with Keller and Mueller should form a top line that can challenge the likes of Thomas O'Malley, Mason Richardson, and Xin Xie Xiao.
10th overall, HC Davos Dynamo, Launchpad McQuack @KGR
With fan favourite and self proclaimed "shittiest player on Earth" now traded away to the New York Americans to be the sidekick to VHLM MVP Sergei Komarov, Davos will draft Launchpad McQuack and hopes he beats other contenders Xavier Laflamme, The Process, JourneyMan, and Rudi Ying to the title of "shittest player on Earth." @Tyler

Was going to stop at 8 after I hit the word count but felt like throwing in Phil there just because he probably would have gone to NYA if Shawn Brodeur was gone earlier.
