Okey, interesting! Very original and creative approach to the well known game and playing with the words there making it about hockey. I like the originality and for that you already have earned 10 points. The execution of the piece is not too chubby either, considering what it is and how it should be. I think that overall you did a good job and I like it! Rating: 8/10

Although you can see that you're not the signature guru, but the piece has some very nice effects. Like the background effect, makes it look better if not good. It could be smudged around the player render bit better, but overall nice. I see your attempt to do jersey swap and it could have been done better, but you tried and it's ok. Text is the one that is lacking the most as it has nothing to it, just plain text in a specific font. The text definitely needs a work on. Rating: 6/10

1. We recently acquired two new teammates in a trade, how do you feel about these trades and for the people that were traded here, how does it feel to be a Viking now? It all depends on how well they will be able to work with the players already on the team. If they can quickly adapts, then we will do great! 2. What is the first thing your player does when they wake up in the morning? Stretch and drink glass of cold water! 3. What is your players favourite song to play before a game to get you pumped up? Eskimo Callboy - PUMP IT! 4. Mashed potatoes or French fries? Mashed 5. Hamburger or hotdogs? Depends 6.Does the toilet paper roll go over or under? OVER FFS! -

After the VHLM draft when Matt was still back in Mexico City, playing for Mexico City Kings, he was not happy about his draft pick. He was happy he got drafted at all, but he felt like he was better than a lot of the players that went before him and the worst part was that he had no idea what caused it. Why did these weaker players went before him? Was it some sort of potential that the coaches saw in others that they did not see in Matt? Was it that those players better fit in into the teams dynamics and personalities? No matter what it was, Matt promised himself that he will destroy the VHLM and show other teams why they should have picked him up while they could. The season started and Matt was doing exactly what he promised to do, but in first few weeks he never reached that top 1 spot. He was in top5 and top3, but never the top1. At first he did not pay much attention on who he was being beaten by as he focused on his own results, but then on week 3 of the season he looked at the statistics and who was in front of him. He saw this name of the Swedish player - Kyosti Karjalainen. Doing a little bit more research about this player as Matt never heard about him before, it turned out that Kyosti has been beating Matt all this time. On S80 VHLM draft Kyosti was drafted 25th, while Matt was drafted 33rd overall. In VHLE Kyosti was drafted quite low as well, same as Matt, but still bit quicker - Kyosti 73rd, Matt 78th. And finally the VHL, Matt thought, no way he beat him there as Matt went first round, but what did you know, even there...In S80 VHL draft Kyosti was drafted with the overall 7th pick while Matt was picked up with overall 9th pick. Suddenly it wasn't about just proving VHLE that he should have been a better pick, but now he also had a rival that he was not aware of before and the situation was not in favour for Matt as yet again he was being beaten by a small margin as in all the other cases. @UnkemptCL4PTP

1. We started off a little slow, but now we are starting to roll, do you think this will keep up? - I definitely hope so, because I experienced this with Mexico City Kings in VHLM, so I don't want to experience again. 2. We recently picked up a back up goalie, do you think this gives us the push to be a top team again? - Depends on the goalie. If the goalie is shit, then no, if he's good, then yes. 3. Are you happy with your players point total? do you feel like you are contributing even if you lack points? (remember points do not mean anything) - I am happy with the points, yes, as Im one of the leagues top scorers and point earners. Still not the 1st, so could do few goals or passes more per game. 4. Are you happy that the season is finally happening? - Of course, finally the fun has started! 5. Is there any team you think will be our rivals this season? - Im not focusing on that, I will leave the rival thinking to the managers and coaches. I will focus on scoring! 6. Do you have a player rival in the VHLE as of right now? - Yes, my rival is Kyosti Karjalainen. He has beaten me in every draft by couple of picks earlier and now he is leading the league as well, so he is my main rival. I just need to become better than he is. -
So for me we are looking at a very simple signature on amateur level, but that's exactly what everyone goes through when they are learning. The pluses of the signature is that it is actually not bad, just lack of practice and experience for it to be excellent. You've done a lot of things there starting from design and even attempted a jersey swap which is good. Two main things I find that could be done better is the beackground as it does not really merge nicely with other items of the signature and kind of leaves it plain, like something is missing and I almost want the signature to have a frame. And the second thing is the VASILE text. the V and A blends so much with the player and players stick that without looking closer you cannot even see them. Rating: 6/10

Nice, very nice. At first glance I straight up liked the design, but was not sure about the distorted/wavy effect, but then checking out for another minute it actually grew on me. Colours are good, design is nice and the only issue I find is the text. The choice of font and the effects on top makes it hard for me to read the name. While I can still figure out the surname which I guess is EARCE, I dont know the name. Is it NICA, is it PICA or something else... Rating: 7/10

The transfer was done and Matt has just moved from the hotter environment that the Mexico has and now back to the roots of the ice hockey weather in Stockholm. Of course Stockholm is not like Siberia in Russia, ice block, but it definitely has the proper winters that some people in the world just dream of or hate. Living in UK you dont really get proper winters if you're not somewhere north, but cold was not an issue for Matt. Team greeted Matt with open arms and showed the facilities and around the town. Everything was up to Matt's satisfaction and he was eager to get to the start of the season to finally show what he is capable of and show that the pick he got in the draft does not show his true skill and potential. During the off-season Matt kept working hard to improve his skills and knowledge of the VHLE, because this league not only has more talent, but is more packed and harder than VHLM and that is only understandable as it is the window to the VHL.

1. What is your player doing this offseason? - Matt had to do all the arrangements of moving from Mexico to Stockholm and of course kept practicing while still in Mexico and as soon as he got to Stockholm. 2. does your player have any offseason hobbies? if so what are they? - Would not call it a hobby, but Matt enjoys going to Movies. 3. Where does your player live during the offseason? - When the offseason started Matt lived in Mexico City, then travelled to Stockholm, visited hometown London for a week and then back to Stockholm to prepare for the season. 4. Does your player play any other sports during the offseason? - Not really. Had no time for that. 5. What are some goals you have for this season you have coming up? - Prove that the late pick was a bad decision by all the ones that could have snatched him earlier. 6. What is your players favourite offseason food to eat? - As Matt spent long time away from home he missed Full English Breakfast and got to have it during the offseason when back home. -
Ulalala this is some sexy piece! Looking at this and needing to give it a review is hard, because it is so well done for my naked eye that I don't know what could be improved or done better. The effects are applied neatly, the background is done very good and all in all everything blends together perfectly. Usually I would say something about the text as most people struggle with it, but not even that. Some smart choices have been done here and I am pleased to see such a work. Rating: 9/10

Okey, so considering that at first glance I only see some simple text on the side I am assuming this is not a poster or nothing of that sorts, but is a Jersey Swap? What can I say? The main logo is applied very neat, at least for my eye. Overall I would not be able to tell that there is any Jersey Swap done if not for the gloves. The gloves do not look natural for me and I would have probably kept the white logo and the lines on the glove white instead of putting the green all over them with soft light or however you did it. Good article! I just dont understand why UK doesn't count as Europe if my player plays for Team World....haha

PROSPECT SCOUTING REPORT MATT AVENS Draft Class: Season 80 Position: Left Wing Height: 6'3 Weight: 207lbs Age: 19yo Place of Birth: London, United Kingdom Current Team: The Stockholm Vikings (VHLE) Previous Team: Mexico City Kings (VHLM) Draft: 33rd OV to London United Matt Avens is heading to Stockholm to join his VHLE team - The Stockholm Vikings. With a rather late draft pick in VHLE (78th OV) it does not resemble the actual value of the player that a lot of VHLE managers slept on. As someone who joined VHLM one season ago and was picked up by Mexico City Kings in the draft as 9th OV pick, he showed to be a player to look out for by being the top scorer in his own team and top20 in the league. Making 50 goals and giving 43 passes, he picked up 93points in 72 games, falling a point short for the last playoff position, therefore not qualifying to the playoffs with his team. On top of that he represented Team World in S80 WJHC, scoring 4 goals and giving 4 passes, resulting in 8 points in 8 Robin round games. Played 1 game in WHJC playoffs without points. With the good performance in VHLM he is expected to drop in points, but still being successful if used correctly by his new team. Strengths: Scoring - Matt possesses exceptional scoring skills. Watching this player you can tell that his shot power and accuracy is almost at it's highest and for his age he is already surpassing a lot of older players and veterans with how deadly his shot can be. He is not afraid to shoot from any distance and position, making him a massive threat as soon as he is in possession of a puck and has an opportunity for a shot. His wrist shot is little bit better than his slap shot but that's to be expected. With the right practice and regime he can become even better and deadlier with his shots. Defensive/Offensive Awareness - This player has obviously paid attention to some aspects of the game that other, his type of players, ignore and are not that great of it. One of Matt's obvious strengths is his Defensive and Offensive Awareness. He has showed his capability to position him well on offense and also on defensive end. For a sniper this is a rare treat which makes him an unique player. Skating and Puck Handling - Maybe not the fastest as of yet, but definitely a fast skater with not just above average top speed, but a good acceleration as well. Very good agility and ability to stop quick, change direction. Great skating is complimented with the same level of puck handling skills, making him a good attack starter force. Weaknesses: Passing - As a sniper he does not have the best passing ability as that is not his priority, but due to his Offensive Awareness skills he still is very capable in this field, which probably lead him earning 43 assists last season, close to the amount of goals he achieved. Although this not being his priority and is one of his weaknesses, you can still see improvements in his passing precision and decision making skill. Checking - Definitely not the most aggressive or physical player and that also shows up in his checking game. Not too keen to do body checking it's one of his weaknesses. His durability and capability to take body shot is remarkable though as he was one of the top5 people in "Body shots received" in VHLM, which also shows that he is a threat to teams and they tried to neutralise using his weakness. OVERALL Matt Avens is definitely a player to look out for if he continues his hard working attitude and fast improvements as he has so far. With his ability to shoot strong and precise shots he is a threat to any goalie out there and it is believed that his skills will only grow. The expected performance in his first VHLE season is debatable as it will depend on where will he be placed. In terms of scoring The Stockholm Vikings have a strong attack and in-between all these players Matt definitely is not the strongest, but at the same time he is the youngest and someone who has not had the experience of such level yet. From the things he has said in interviews and the attitude that he shows it is without question that he will do his best in the position he will be put in, so we can expect to see a good growth and results from him and maybe even promotion on a higher line if he ends up to be 4th or 3rd line winger.

It's no secret that the season for Matt ended at the playoffs therefore early and that left a lot of free time on his hands and this time was dragging like hell. The goodbyes with Mexico City Kings organisation was said soon after the end of the season. Matt packed his things and used the free time to go back to UK to visit his family as he's been away for a almost a year, while living in South America. Now for at least as season he was coming back to Europe to play for the Stockholm Vikings and then back home to UK to represent The London United. In a way the future could not have worked out better, starting with career overseas in Americas, experiencing their way of practice and doing things, then back to Europe, Scandinavia and then with all the experience acquired, back home, close to the friends and family. Kind of sounds too good to be truth and there was still a season in-between, so you never know, trade might happen and Matt would have to move away. For now, fingers crossed!

1. With our season ending, what was your favourite memory this past season? The fight for the last playoff spot with the Mexico Kings against Miami. 2. What is your final opinion on the E after playing here for a season? Did not play, but looking forward this upcoming season! 3. What is one thing you learned about your player this season? That no matter what you think about yourself, there is always place for errors. 4. If you could change one thing about your players performance in the playoffs, what would it be and why? Not sure about what would have been my performance in playoffs, but definitely I felt like Matt lacked scoring in the end of the season. 5. if you do decide to make another player after your current player retires, will you try to skip the E, or will you play here again willingly? I dont find no issues with playing in E, at least not yet, so as of now, I would play in E willingly. 6. How are you doing? Great, waiting for the move to Vikings! -
Not bad, not bad at all. This week I am very happy with the pieces I've seen. I like the design you went for, easy to understand and see what's going on. Colours are okey as well, nothing too fancy, but just the right mix. Im not sure is the player in the picture meant to be the star player of that trade or what, but you could have easily put bot team logo's in the middle instead of the picture, of course that's already nitpicking. Overall good job¬! Rating: 8/10

Oh, hell yes! This one is beautiful! Love it! I like the originality of the design and the idea of the signature. Love the double lining which feels like creating a German flag around the player (not sure is the player German or not) and also the grudge feeling of the signature. Text is understandable, although the yellow colour of the name hurts my eyes a bit, feels weirdly bright, but rather than that, awesome job! Rating: 9/10

The season for Mexico City Kings was over. Unfortunately in the last 10+ games the team was fighting hard in every single game for that last play-off spot that Miami was holding. It was neck to neck and all that Mexico City Kings had to do is win one more game that Miami did, but unfortunately it did not happen and the team did not move up from the 9th place. It wasn't just the end of the season it as also the end of Mexico and Matt as part of the team. Matt knew that he is not moving further with Mexico City Kings and after the season he will most likely move up to his VHLE team - Stockholm Vikings. Deep in his heart, Matt, wanted to do another season with Kings and make sure that they make the playoffs and maybe even take the cup, but not everything that your heart wishes comes true. Now his VHLM career was done and was about to become his past and any self respecting player who cares for the growth always looks towards his future. Few days ago Matt was officially released from Mexico City Kings and he is now waiting to be called up to The Stockholm Vikings.

1. With the season winding down, do you think we have a chance at playoffs? - I was hoping till the last game as we were so close, but unfortunately we did not make it. 2. How do you feel about the teams performance this season? - It started well, then it went somewhere. I dont know what happened, but it could have been better as we did get good wins at the start. 3. Is there anything that you think should have changed or tried during the season? Could be management stuff or team stuff or personal. Not from personel and when it comes to other aspects of the game, I did suggest something myself and it was done, but did not change much. 4. Right now we are fighting for a spot with Miami, what team are you surprised to see in a playoff spot? - To be honest I did not even see who made the playoffs besides Miami as all my focus was on them and us. 5. Do you have a rival in the league (team or player)? - Not yet, but maybe in the future. 6. Do you like the heat or the cold when going outside? - I like in-between those two. I like nice chill mornings and I like nice warm evenings. Nothing too cold or too hot.

Oof this one has a lot of potential in my eyes. I like the idea and think that with bit more work the signature could look superb, but not yet. I would like to see the player render to be bit more blended with some other "shapes" or blending options (not sure does this makes sense). And of course also the text is poorly put on and has nothing to it. By simply putting it with something like "soft light" already would make the text blend nicer. Overall in my eyes this is WIP and could definitely be improved. Overall: 7/10
-
I like the different approach on sizing, but I understand it's meant to be an ad, so that makes sense. Nice little text effect there and of course you have included the teams logo as the background. Overall simple and good. I know a lo of people are not fans of frames, but I kinda would love a frame on this ad banner, but that is the only thing I would like to change. Rating: 8/10

Although the season started well and mid-season was not that bad either, for some reason, towards the end of the season Mexico City Kings started to lose more and more games. If before the team was holding well around the 4th or 5th place in the overall standings, then by game 50 the team slowly started to lose more than win and drop in the standings. For some time Mexico City Kings were holding only the last spot to get in the playoffs and now, by the game 63, finally they have even lost that and now are reaching to get back on the last floating piece of wood that is called playoffs, trying not to drown (yes it's a Titanic reference haha). With this situation in mind and hail mary thinking Matt went to the GM of the team and made a request to make some line changes, hoping that it could turn the tide and team could perform better in the last 9 games by winning enough to have the strength to get back on that piece of wood.
-
1. Have you been thinking of your goals next season? I have and I if I could then my goal would be to stay down in VHLM for another season, but for now I will need to prove that their late pick in VHLE was a steal. 2. Growing up whose jersey did you have? Growing up I had Sergei Zholtok, Team Latvia jersey! 3. Do you think you could lead your own team at some point? Maybe, who knows. Not now yet. 4. How was it different to play during covid without fans in the stands versus now with all the fans back? Oh you cannot even compare! The energy that fans give you is incredible and without the fans in the stands it felt like practice games. 5. What is your favourite sport? Ice Hockey, dooh! 6. What is the best Condiment to put on a burger? Bit of pepper for that nice aroma and sting. Of course the veggies have to be fresh in order to work.
-
Very often I like simplicity, but not this time. Although it is not a bad piece I feel like it is something like work in progress peace and is awaiting more to be added or more to be played with. The location of the render make the other side of the signature feel empty, at least in my opinion. Not a fan of the font choice and the colour of it, but yet again it is just my preference and others might actually like it. I think that you could definitely use this one as something you can add on and see, maybe the piece becomes better. Colour choice is there, style is there, so why not? Rating 7/10
