This forum needs a revival so I've decided to give it life again with a new topic. I'm wondering what software every member here uses to make their graphics and on average, how long does it take for them to make a SIG. As some of you know, I do mine solely on an android phone with a cheap stylus pen. The apps I mainly use are PicsArt, Toolwiz Photos, and sometimes Photo Editor and its counter part PE Pro. On average, it takes me about two hours as I have to hand manip everything with the stylus and its slow going. So let's hear from you members.

I really like the blurred background effect here with the color flecks layered over. Lots of saturation throughout the SIG which looks good. Think I'd like to see a bit more sharpness to the guy though. Cool idea with the two styles of font and color choices, they both work well together and within the SIG. This gets 6/6

Nice how you have the background faded, reminds me of the 80's for some reason. I think the lighting could be cranked down some, as the ice seems way too bright. Putting the black outline around the player helps separate and contrast him from the bright back drop. Good choice in font color but I think the lettering would be best suited at the bottom of the ice, or maybe a different style font where its situated now. A nice effort LT, just needs a tone down on the background brightness. Keep it up man.?

I like how you've designed the two toned background, looks so cool. And the filter you used on the SIG gives it an almost mixture of b&w with some color mixed in. Very nice! Awesome that you did a logo swap! And its positioned pretty well with good coloring. Not my fave font but decent choice of color to contrast against what's its layered over. Might have just moved it up a touch so its more centered and mostly off of the logo. Pre nice SIG Boomer! 6/6

Def like the icy/glassy background. Right off the hop the biggest concern for me is that the whole SIG is too bright in general. The light flare near his head just seems way too bright which is distracting. The font style is simple but looks good with the drop shadow effect which adds aesthetics to it. I feel a little sharper in focus would help to pop the lettering even more. Dispersion effect on his body is a nice touch but would like to see a bit more overall sharpness to the player for more focal clarity. A good effort street but would be more eye catching if the brightness of the background was turned down.

This reminds me of some of my earlier gfx I've done. The background looks like it came from a 70's photo which is pre cool to me. The player is nice and sharp with good contrast to him against the back drop. I think I would like to see the orange hue around the guy a different color though, as its too close in shade to his red jersey. The grey shading at the bottom of the SIG is decent but I would have liked it to blend into the yellow line on the boards to soften its color. Smart color choice of the font to contrast against the white boards. Not so much a fan of the letter style though and its placement on the background. A solid effort LT and I hope you keep making these!

Nice start to making gfx! I like the idea of the black and white split pics. The bottom pic looks almost retro with the filter you've used. The top pic would look real sweet if you had lined up his snout to the edge of the players helmet for a more continuous flow from bottom to top. Also I think if the wolf's fur flowed right to the edge of the players back it would take away the separation of the two pics by removing the line. I found the font style not too bad but the color seems a little too strong and lettering was a little out of focus. I also found the grey box around it distracting. It could be a bit bigger as well. This was a good effort Nathan! I hope you keep making these and I def like the split screen color/b&w idea!

Like how you designed the back drop, but I think the player could be centered a little more to the left. As it is the player has nice sharpness and focus to him. Maybe just a touch lighter on the background and he would contrast a little more. Be cool to see a logo swap as well to show the perspective team he's on. Your font is a simple style but its a great color choice to stand out against the darker back drop. And maybe just a little push to the right for his las t names letter so there's more separation between his first name and last letter. A nice start and it s looks pretty good to me so keep on making these!

A much better logo change than the top SIG. As Shawn stated, there's a touch too much graininess situated into the logo font and upper deck, but that's minor to me. Color of the logo has better focus to it and its only slightly less sharp then the rest of his jersey. And the white upper cabin area is pretty close to the white on his jersey. Nice positioning of the logo as well. You don't see too many logo swaps so its a good thing Peace. Yeah I could see what you mean by chest bleeding on the jersey but its hardly noticeable. Good choice of white font against the darker background for contrast and pop. Since this is purely a black and white SIG, I think it would be cool to maybe say add a little fancier font or maybe place a colored border around the font lettering for some aesthetic splash. All in all a good effort! Keep making these, your only going to improve. BTW, you using Photoshop, Gimp or some other software?

In all honesty everyone's first few are not the greatest, mine included. Go look at some of my earlier ones in the archive's to see how I started out. From my first gfx to present time I spend on average around two hours per SIG and this is all done on an android phone with a stubby Dollar Store stylus. The review I gave you was hopefully encouraging but I was also being lenient as well. I personally think this gfx was a good start but could've been improved upon with a little more time involved. No one expects you to be good in a month and as you know, you only get better with practice. So don't let a little constructive criticism get you down or piss you off. Its just a game and we're all here for some fun so don't take it too seriously. I look forward to reviewing your other graphics as you post them as well! So keep it up Monkey. ?
