After an impressive third campaign in the league, Markus King has done what he promised to do by becoming a free agent. Three years in and three teams later, he isn't sure what the future holds. The goalie market is a strange thing to figure out in the VHL at times. Sure enough, one of those times is not right now. Many of the teams have their goalie for the future and many have a veteran who may or may not re-sign with their squad the next time their contract comes up. Markus King knows a minimum contract is what he'll take to situate himself in a quality landing spot for years to come. King hinted that he may not sign a long contract until he sees the direction a team is taking. However with impressive numbers this past year he is hoping the statistics do some talking in regards to contract talks.
