No, that was the problem in that Glade one, you might not have understood what @Quik was saying when he pointed it out at the time, but you can't just use what other people have written to boost your own word count. We've brought this up with other people who've thought the same as well so it's not just you

Well shit there goes my media spots then o well

This is the same issue as one of the other podcasts you submitted (Believe it was a Shawn Glade interview), if all the words attributed to spade are his own words, there's only 281 words of your own content and that would need to up to 500 for you to claim this as a PT.

Literally every single one of these I’ve ever done have been exactly what they say

I’ve always used exactly what they say and it hasn’t been a problem before??

  4. DISCLAIMER most of the info in this is outdated i apologize he was interviewed about a month ago at the beginning of s62

AND were back after a 2 week hiatus we've got a very special guest... Ismond Kingfisher from the Americans! Thanks for being our first guest after our break!

Kingfisher- Hey no problem im a big fan of the show!

So obviously you guys aren't winning the cup but, I have to say you had a decent season for the team you were on.. obviously not in the win category but save percentage was decent.. ANYWAY i'm stalling lets get into the questions! so were you happy with the way you starter the season?

It was obvious I was going into a rebuilding situation with the Americans, but despite that, we've had a better start to the season than most expected. we were within striking distance of the playoffs, 1 pt behind Seattle.

So how do you think the team itself performed?

Considering we only have 2 players showing up to practice, the team is really putting together a strong showing.  Casey Jones is having a great year and is really leading this team down the right road. How many teams sell off all their assets and are still competitive the next year?

off the top of my head? none.. Who would you say is the biggest rival to you and/or your team?

Recently it has been Helsinki, it was before my time, but they eliminated The Americans in game 7 of the finals.  Last year it was Calgary, but I could see Riga being our rival in the near future.  All the games against them have been heavy hitting and high scoring.  They're a little further ahead in their rebuild than us, but I can see us being competitive with the for years to come.

NotAdam- Well we'll use rival lightly because obviously you guys arent contenders.. like you said your rebuilding..What are some things the team could work on that they are aware of?

Right now it's about bringing in talent.  I think we can all see that Jones is probably off to a contender at the trade deadline.  and most of the other guys here are on one year contracts.  I'm the only one who is locked in long term at the moment.  The team has a lot of early round picks in the coming years, so once we have the bodies in, I think you'll be seeing the Americans back at the top of the standings.

what's your mindset during a game, any pregame rituals? are you one of the CRAZY GOALIES?!

During the game I like to stay calm.  Playing goalie is unlike playing any other position.  When you're a forward or a defenseman, you can play mad.  And for a lot of guys, playing mad really helps their game.  I dont have that luxury as a goaltender.  Position players have the luxury of making mistakes, because they have teammates to rectify those mistakes.  If I make one mistake, the puck is in the net. By keeping calm, I cut down on the possibility of mistakes and can focus on playing my game.

As a goalie, I obviously have a lot of pregame rituals.  I stretch on the bench before anything. there are a lot of different levels on a bench that help me stretch out those parts of my body I would only use on big saves.  I then like to walk out on to the ice and kind of stare down my net a bit.  I visualize shots coming from all dircetions, what I would do in certain situations.  I try to run through all the scenarios I can.  The back to the locker room for another stretch, and the I dress. Skates, pants, left leg pad, right leg pad, shoulders, helmet, paddle, catching glove, in that order.  Then I go back out for round 2 of stare down with the net.  I try to imagine new ways I will be attached that I may not have considered before.  Then I get in the net for warm up, and if I'm not positioning myself to make a save, I beat the shit out of the posts with my stick, kind of like ron hextall used to do.  It keeps me aware of where I'm standing while in the net.  If you could see my stick, it has TONS of red mark about half way up the handle, and right above the heel from banging it into the posts so much.

Well dam.. We were just expecting a short answer but hey thanks! What was your favourite team to watch before your career started?

When I watched the NHL I was a HUUUGE NJD fan.  I grew up going to games, have met a few Devils in my life time, I was even at the game where Marty Brodeur broke the wins record.  As far as the VHL is concerned, I'm an American so I grew up rooting for the Bears and The Americans.  It's a bit of a dream come true to be able to play for The Americans for the VHL and still be so close to home.

I MISS MY LEAFS... ok...  were getting a little short on time so lets wrap this up any goals for this season or next?

I didnt want to think about it at first, coming in I just wanted to get my feet wet in the VHL and see what I needed to work on.. But I'm now shooting to win the Christian Stolzschweiger Trophy for best rookie.  We may only be 20 game in but I can see that I can hang with the best of the VHL.  I'm only going to get better from here, so I think I have a real shot at it by the end of the season.

Well Ismond good luck! were gonna have to let you go we all hope you have better luck next season!

-hangs up- Alright everyone that was Ismond kingfisher of the NY Americans tune in next week for our next special guest! maybe our last podcast for a bit so be sure to tune in!
