  8. lol I think its hilarious that Duchene said in the PC when he first got to Ottawa that he said this will be his closest chance to win a cup.. amazing what a few weeks can do. Hell even one week ago the Canucks were in a playoff spot and on a 3 game winning streak, now people are talking like the season is over aha.
  9. Use the insult as motivation to make a decent player, I cant even remember when eaglesfan had a good player.
  10. Took a little trip... down to the garden...
  11. Couple of jokesters eh, I'm in no means a "leafs fan" but when this guy played, he was pretty good.
  12. Rookie Profile Aksel McKnight Age: 18 Jersey #: 16 Height: 6'1" Weight: 185lbs Left Wing Playmaker Trollhättan, Sweden Oslo Storm, S58 Draftee Aksel Mcknight declared for the Season fifty-eight Victory Hockey League just over a season ago, a native from Sweden. McKnight has decided to purse a career in the VHL instead of playing in the Swedish Hockey League on his home soil. McKnight will be bringing over tremendous talent from overseas, much like other Scandinavians that have made the transition McKnight will be highly skilled with will not have an offensive ceiling. After freshly coming over from Sweden and barely knowing a word of English, McKnight was scooped up in the second round, sixth overall by the Oslo Storm. McKnight would spend important minutes in the top six for the Storm and would be one of the keys to the Storm eventually winning the Founders Cup. Strenghts Playmaking Aksel McKnight takes from his apprentices from back home in Sweden, he was brought up being told passing and the ability to distribute the puck is the key to success. McKnight has worked on his passing since a little kid, and it quickly became one of the young swedes best attributes. Last season he played for the Oslo Storm and was seen as the set up man on the top powerplay unit, he had lots of success setting up his teammates. Puck Handling McKnight is quickly becoming a prototypical european born hockey player, he can do things with the puck that North American born players just cant. He has hands that are as soft as a baby's blanket, he can maneuver the puck through the neutral zone with ease and once he enters the offensive zone, its game over as he usually can dish a puck to any one of his teammates with a sweet saucer. Hockey IQ McKnight may have the skills to become a very good hockey player, but in today's game you need more than just skills. You need the hockey IQ and smarts on the ice to make the right plays. If you dont know what your doing on the ice or dont have the IQ your skills could go to waste. This will not be the case with McKnight as he spent a lot of time in hockey schools as a kid and understands the game. Weaknesses Defense With all young forwards defense is going to be one of the most difficult things to fully grasp. McKnight really struggles with the defensive side of the game. You will not see McKnight on the Penalty Kill for quite some time. As he matures and gains some more game experience in the VHL he will slowly learn his defensive responsibilities. Physicality McKnight is just not built to be a bone crushing hitter and a force to be reckoned with on the ice. Hes never been much a physical player, he doesnt really have the size as he towers down at just over six foot and is just under a buck ninety. McKnight will likely continue to play a softer game in the VHL and stick to being an offensive threat. Leadership Ever since a kid playing in little league, McKnight was never an outstanding leader who rallied his team. He was the type to keep quiet in the room and let his skills do the talking. He focused on other attributes in his game rather than trying to be a leader. Dont look for McKnight to ever even wear an "A" and certainly not a "C". But where he will lead is in the points department.
  13. This sig is hot, I love the green and blue colouring mix you got going on here, the fact that the render is b&w imo is great. The lighting is super solid and I love the text, its almost hidden and blended but you can still see it. Great job as always.
  14. I like the use of a different size canvas and the background is something different we havent see from you. The render placement is good and the render sticks out really nicely. The only thing for me is the text, it could use some serious work. I believe a lot to do with it is the clipping mask over top of it. It blends in and is too dark to read really. But not bad at all.
  15. This sig is real nice, I havent see that Vermette(?) render in a minute, I like the background and the effects used on this. I like the grainy feel ad the text is nice. Although I think I would have had the colour be white or even a darker colour with a white drop shadow. The lighting is subtle but nice.
  16. I kinda like the colouring on this one, although I feel the render is a little bit over contrasted, I love how simple it is and I like the text a lot. Not very often do you see orange faces so good work with the creativity here.
