    SOTW used to be a big thing on graphics forums. Could have sig of the week and article of the week, or a top 3. There is definitely enough content to support it. But I think there should be a hard cap on how many times a member could win each season.

    Well, no it's not. But it is a country. And we definitely shouldn't put a new team there. Unless you want about 3,000 fans coming to games, because that's what their biggest arena holds.

     

    Anyway.

     

    What we really need is expansion into an area that has a lot of people, but isn't yet a hockey area. That's why I would like to propose Barcelona as the VHL's newest European team. Palau Sant Jordi is an indoor stadium with a capacity of over 17,000, built for the 1992 Olympics. The metro population of Barcelona is over 5,000,000, and the city loves sports. This expansion could certainly promote hockey in the warmer countries of Europe.

     

    The Barcelona Bravo would be fierce Spanish squad represented by a conquistador. The logo would brandish the famous helmet and would spark a sense of pride in the team, and strike fear in the enemy.

     

    Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!

    1. You are tasked with choosing a theme song when your player scores, what do you choose and why.

    Let's Get it On - Marvin Gaye. Because that's how I feel every time I'm on the ice

    2. What song can the team use when they win.

    I want to hear a big Lynx growl that fades into something badass by The Black Keys.

    3. Once you come up to the VHL are you scared of fight leader Hulk Hogan who is currently 4-1-6.

    Well I've got a draw in the VHLM so you could say I'm pretty tough. Watch out!

    4. We are now crowned #1 in the league, we have 1 more game than Philly but the best they can do with that one game is tie us, do you think we can hold this after being 9-1 in our past 10.

    The team's effort has been paying off, I think we can keep this up for the rest of the season and into the post-season as well.

    5. Have you tried Hulk Hogan's jam, if so where's my money I've never received it.

    I'm allergic to whatever they put in the extra jiggly jams :(

    6. Would you rather have 50 more points than right now, or have the brother pass.
    I'd rather earn both without getting any free passes ;)

    The Ottawa Lynx continue to prove that they are in the conversation of cup favourites. With less than a third of the season remaning, the Reapers and Lynx are neck and neck, only one point separates the two. Ottawa has desperately been trying to catch them, but the Reapers have been just out of reach. Philadelphia has won its last 13 games, and Ottawa has won its last 14. 

     

    Perhaps what is most impressive of the Lynx's season is their point-producing dominance. They currently hold the top three point scoring positions, lead by Zeno Miniti, and followed by a tie between Thorny Underyew and Anthony Hawk. Head coach/GM Acyd Burn has been quietly strengthening the core of the team and the development of the young roster has exceeded expectations.

     

    Captain Thorny Underyew continues to lead by example in all areas, even adding a fight in a recent tilt.
