Week 1: Starting Simple
 
Your challenge this week is to great a sig without using stocks, other than the player render. This will teach you to learn about composition, planning, and using Photoshop's built in features.
 
Here is a list of ideas for you to try:
 
Using typography to enhance the signature. Using smudging effects and taking advantage of Photoshop's brush engine. Creating lighting without stocks. Using adjustment layers to create a complete-looking piece.

To claim this task, you must first post the work, then at the end of the week I will post a list of people who are eligible and completed the task. You will then link to that post in your update thread.

S40 Prediction Points are out. You can claim the points you won from your predictions, and check further down if you bought a multiplier last season.
 
S41 Predictions are opened! You have until the first sim of the season to complete it, so early next week. If you don't have a good idea of who to pick, just copy a senior member.
 
VHL Fantasy Zone Football Fantasy League (Group 1) claim is up! Go claim your TPE. Group 2 claim will be up next week after that group finishes.
 
VHLM Achievement Tracker is closed. If you haven't yet done so, you can still claim your (maximum) 20 TPE.

The VHLM Awards were announced! You can check the short list or tune in to the full show. If you won an award you also get 2 TPE so check it out and see if you won! Congratulations to the winners.
 
The S40 Top Prospects Roster was announced. See if you or your teammates made the cut.
 
The off-season is winding down, and you can see what's coming next on the schedule. It is pinned so you should find it easily, but in case you missed it.
 
Rookie Profiles/Biographies have been tweaked a bit to help separate the two. Check out the differences and if you've started either of them, finish it up and turn it now under the old rubric before the new one takes hold.
 
Keep an eye out on the job postings, recently there were two openings in the field of writing, one for grading and the other for the VHL mag. A job is a good way to contribute to the league and help keep the wheels spinning, on top of earning some extra TPE.
 
The VHL has their Instagram account up and running. Just for following with your account, you get +1 TPE. Simply follow them and then post in the thread. There's also a two PT opportunities you can take a look at in the thread. Good to see social media expanding for the league.

Edition 59 of On the Rise is out, the mag crew works really hard on it so make sure you check it out if you aren't. They seem to post a new edition on Monday, so read that in a hurry, then check out the new one in the next few days.
 
Matej Nemechek did a pre-draft interview and shared his thoughts on his future in the VHL.
 
Max MacInnis shared his feelings on how his season with Saskatoon ended. Always tough to see a competitor like him fall short.

Sam Teibert unleashed this sig he created for his new team. A great artist who consistently produces excellent work.
 
Patrick Demko made this sig. It's simple but conveys the point and we look forward to more from him.
