  1. "This is what you get for sobering up and trying to act like a normal hockey player, you were more fun when you were on the drugs Dahlberg. Who the hell loses a kid in a ball pit?" - Brick Wahl
  2. You better watch out Shawn, Davos in in for a law suit for sure. @Bushito should be ashamed, that make a wish kid is apparently one of Calgary's best hopes for the future, should i ask for a trade now or later? lol
  3. Like most rumors that pertain to Dahlbergs prowess as a ladies man, it is undoubtedly false. Dahlberg hasn't been able to score much on the ice, i doubt he is scoring much off it either...
  4. VSN Exclusive - Getting to Know Davos’ New Bad Boy Elias Dahlberg There are a lot of different personalities that make it to the VHL. It can be said that the common thread that holds the league together is the love of the sport. For some players it is the inner drive to be the best at the game they love, while other players are in it for the glory, fame or money. Today VSN shines a light on perhaps one of the interesting characters to be drafted into the VHL. He plays for the HC Davos Dinamos and has Ambitions that are as big as his mouth, which is admittedly always wide open ready to spit chirps at anyone within earshot. The Team here at VSN though it would be interesting to check in with Dahlberg who was a big fish in the little pond of the VHLM last season, but who is now a minnow in the shark infested waters of the VHL. Dahlberg in his usual fashion has come equipped with nothing but his ego, a few witty chips and his dazzling smile. Just before we started the interview Dahlberg winked in my direction “This is your lucky day doll face, I’m going to give the you the best interview of the ages.” With that typical Dahlberg comment and a an exasperated eyeroll from myself the interview had begun. To start the interview off I asked Elias how he was enjoying being in Davos. With his typical confident smirk, he replied “I really enjoy Davos. It's a nice and quiet city compared to the bustling city of Ottawa and reminds me more of home. The chocolate and cheese are very nice too.” Elias has a history of substance use and recently went to rehab. ShawnGlade made the young player agree to go to rehab before being allowed to play in Davos. Dahlberg was next asked if he though rehab had worked for him. His reply was as follows “Yes, I've replaced my drug addiction with a chocolate one (swiss chocolate is damn good)” As if to prove his point Dahlberg took a chocolate out of the candy dish on my desk quickly unwrapped it and popped it in his mouth. The next topic we breached was on rivals. The Dahlberg vs. Wahl Rivalry has been one for the ages with many chirps flying back and forth between the two spirited spitfire players. Dahlberg is famously known for his criticism of both Wahl’s personal life, specifically his relationship with VHLM hot shot @EudaldkpCharles Puigdemont , and his overall goalie skills. Wahl who has never been the type to back down from an over opinionated egomaniac, often gives Dahlberg a good hard reality check with his quick cutting comments. So what is going on with this rivalry now? Dalberg responded, “I don't know how I can be rivals with someone who doesn't even play (Wahl has played many games, Dahlberg is overlooking facts yet again to feed his sense of superiority). But yes he's still my rival, but I've made some new ones with @Esso2264Ylonen and @PeacePeace.” When talking about his rivals skills Dahlberg is dismissive and states that time will show that he is the superior player, destined for the Hall of Fame. The next question that I asked Dahlberg was who he considered to be his best friend in Davos. Dahlberg paused to think for a second before replying, “Well, not really on the roster but more in the system. I'd say John Madden @Thranduil is my best friend, I played against him in the VHLM and we hang out whenever I'm in Canada or he's in Europe. On the actual team this season though I would say @StoffidayStoffiday, he's always real kind and humble and all around makes the whole team feel good.” I think it is important to not that many Davos players have mentioned that they enjoy playing with Rhett Stoffiday for that reason as well and it is nice to see that he can meld with even the most radical personalities, it is no wonder they call him the heart of Davos. Next Dalberg teased me asking if I actually had any hard questions for him today, because apparently my last few questions have been snooze worthy. I cocked an eyebrow up at the insinuation that my questions have not been up to snuff. I dryly ask Elias what he thinks of his team’s potential for the rest of the season. “Well, Shawn has said that this is a tank year, we obviously have good potential coming up, but this year as some of the rookies like me and Jerwa are still developing, and some of the vets are aging we won't compete like the other top teams, but we can still play some good and entertaining hockey” He spoke with a confidence and exuberance that showed his love of being out on the ice and preforming for the fans. Next question Dahlberg answered for myself and the VSN Crew was what he thought of Davos GM @ShawnGladeShawn Glade. Dahlberg seemed to be expecting this answer as he opened with a joke, “I think Shawn is incompetent and should be fired.” He laughed deeply and smiled, then added “Just kidding, Shawn's done great, especially considering its his first year GMing in the bigs. He's made some nice trades and has had a good control on the team.” An Extra Dose of Elias Dahlberg, for The Fans. Fav Color: Purple for Davos (This gives off the impression that his favorite colour will change with the teams he plays for) Player #: 69 (He wiggled his eyebrows suggestively as he told us we should know why) Why your fans love me: Cause I'm the best and hottest player in the league Nicest for He’s Done for A Fan: This one time I spent a day with this make a wish kid named Dil @DilIsPickle, he was pretty cool and we had a load of fun. Rhett Stoffiday told a Different version of the story saying “Good lord, He took Dil to McDonald's and ditched him in the ball pit...I was there” Music That Pumps Him Up: Mo Bamba Dahlberg Ranks Top and Bottom 3 players in the VHL: Top 3 in order, 1. 5. Evan R. Lawson Just Got Popped, In a good way! Toronto Legion have released that there will be a limited edition pop figure of Evan R. Lawson Available to Fans that attend home games in Toronto. This special edition figure features Lawson in the teams away jersey. Another version with Lawson in his home jersey will be made available at the same time. However the away game version will only be available in limited quantities at home games, while the home jersey version will be available throughout Canada. Rumor has it that as part of this merchandise deal Lawson asked for a handful of both versions so that he could send them home to his family in the States, and of course have few to place in his trophy case. @diamond_ace This is for you!
  6. Great Job, I love the fact that you made SSK some pixel Jerseys! awesome!
  7. Getting Gritty with It! VSN Exclusive Interview with The Grittiest Player In the VHLM It is no secret that the season in the VHLM has gone off with a bang. There seems to be an extra air of competitiveness between the teams this year. New rivals are being made, GMs are Calling each other out and there is a new seasons worth of VHLM rookies and veterans who have one thing on their mind, earning a cup. Today VSN grabbed an interview with Gritty, One of the Ottawa Lynx’s top players to get his perspective on what is currently going on in the VHLM and to shine a spotlight on this active and talented future VHL star. I told gritty I would start this interview off easy and asked him what is it like playing for the Ottawa Lynx this season? He answered; “It is with great pride that I play for the Lynx, as I believe they are the VHLM's most historic franchise. Many moons ago, my first team on my first player was the Ottawa Ice Dogs, and I have loved them ever since. The team has also had some great GMs over the years in Jardy and Fire Hakstol, and now Diamond Ace: as he is really fun to play for. You can tell by the way Gritty’s eyes lit up when speaking about the history of the Ottawa Lynx fancies that he truly does consider it an honor to be playing in a franchise that has such deep VHLM roots. Gritty was then asked where he sees himself going in the draft and what VHL Franchise he would like to join. “I definitely want to be a first round pick, because it has been so long since I've made a good player, and I want to prove to myself and everyone that I can do it again. As far as teams go, I have had great experiences with @Beaviss and @ShawnGlade so Quebec or Davos would be fun to go to. Other than that I would be pretty happy going anywhere except for New York, I hate the city and all it represents.” ( @Spade18 looks like you can take someone of your draft list.) It is now in the interview when I warned Gritty I’d be getting to the hard hitting questions. He laughed good naturedly and told me to bring it on in a cavalier type way that is consistent with his fun loving and resilient nature on the ice. I then hit him with the question: Do you think Ottawa should be higher in the standings and why? A Broad smile crosses his face as he answers, “As long as we make the playoffs, I don't care where we wind up in the regular season standings. The VHLM is all about the playoffs, so the main focus is on getting everyone possible to hit the tpe cap, and then finding which lines have the best chemistry throughout the season.” At this point in the interview I decide to keep delving further into the harder hitting questions and ask Gritty about his thoughts on his VHLM GM and AGM . Does he think the organization well run? For a moment everything gets serious and you can almost hear a pin drop in the room. Gritty begins saying “Diamond Ace is one of the most veteran GMs in the VHL, as he has extensive experience with the Calgary Wranglers and different VHLM teams. Strategically, I have full faith in him when it comes to drafting and making trades, and he is active enough in engaging with us that I have no complaints.” You can tell by Gritty’s earnest and serious response to my question that he truly respects Diamond Ace and The Ottawa Organization as a whole. I clear my throat to ask the next question, and ask Gritty who he sees as his biggest rival. The mood lightens again as Gritty answers with a wry smile, “We appear to have a rivalry with Vegas, as Robbie @BluObieZ thinks he is funny being a little troll, and their GM @Jubo07 trashes the Lynx to new players. They are having the better of play so far in the regular season, but I think the way Ottawa is built we should have no problems dispatching them come playoff time.” It is clear that there is a lot going on between Vegas and Ottawa this year. It seems that things have gone beyond GM’s disagreeing on who the most competitive teams will be this year and has trickled down into the dressing room. I think it is understandable why most VHLM fans would take the side of Gritty in this new budding rivalry between Him and Robbie. To end the interview on a light note I decided to ask gritty some fun personal questions for the fans to enjoy? How Well Do You Know Gritty? Favorite Colour: Green (Not Orange, I think we are all shocked!) Your #: 7 Where are your from originally? Philadelphia What other activities do you do in your time off? Demolish other mascots in feats of strength, interrupt Mites on Ice Games and put them in the penalty box, and hang out with Claude Giroux. Best Buddy on your current team. Smitty Werbenjagermanjensen - He was number one! (869 words, @eaglesfan036 feel free to claim this as your media spot as I will not be claiming it as mine, your word count was at the 500 mark)
  8. Hey Wranglers, here i am with yet another weeks set of questions. Again feel free to pick and choose what you would like to answer (there are also 12 questions from last week if these arn't your speed) Rock on Wranglers! Why did you choose the position you currently play? If you could change your position with no consequences would you? Are you the Type of player who is in it for the money or are you out to gain fame/ awards? Would you Sacrifice pay to make your team better? If you could wake up in the body of any player in the VHL who would you want to be and why? What would you do as them ? What Player has the worst personality in the VHL and why? (Get Shady) If you got to have an entrance song as a player, what song would you choose to play as you enter the arena? If you had to pick a sponsor for your player that doesn't already exist in the VHL what brand would sponsor them and why? Are you looking forward to the WJC's this year? What would make you more likely to tune into the Juniors tournament?

  10. Hell yes, first one of the Season! I'm so psyched.
  11. 87 Helsinki Titans @ New York Americans 88 Toronto Legion @ Riga Reign 89 Calgary Wranglers @ Quebec City Meute 90 Seattle Bears @ HC Davos Dynamo
  12. 60 New York Americans @ Toronto Legion 61 Quebec City Meute @ Riga Reign 62 Helsinki Titans @ Seattle Bears 63 HC Davos Dynamo @ Calgary Wranglers
  13. I'm not worried, I'm just glad my first season isn't a high pressure one. Thanks for the vote of confidence though
  14. You said you wanted to tank, i told you to put Brick in. The Sim loves to rip Wahl a new one.
  15. Now I have you doing it too... Halifax is looking pretty good right now!
  16. Shouldn’t you be too busy running what should have been a winning team into the ground? 5-5 is terrible record for all the draft picks you had. I mean i get why Dills would rather put wrangler gear on, we are supposed to tank this year but you were supposed to be amazing.
  17. Very psyodelic Dills but take off that Calgary gear, you chose to stay down in Oslo...I'm pretty sure there are more than a few VHLM GMs disgruntled about that.
  18. Davis is the show in Seattle this is so fitting, nice work it looks amazing!
  19. Does this mean I`m infected now? Because you never wore the bio-hazard suit around me...
  20. Let's just be honest here, you finally slid the slider a notch towards the defensive side for once in the whole season.
  21. This explains a lot actually, I think @Beaviss is infected too... Don't you mean Hateraide? If that is the best defense you have for that situation it just proves how much our team was not prepared to deal with that situation.
  22. I still got your ass a Cup , our defense left me out to dry being so offensive. You made me carry the back end of the team by being so forward minded and that is a fact. It is a whole team breakdown when 8-7 comeback happens and you never set for me to get pulled so you ruined my GAA and Save %. Don't even get me started VHLM GM of the year...
  23. Best 22 Minutes of my day (Technically Brodeurs' Calgary Wranglers, Wahl is Benching it)
  24. No one asked about Sask, once Wahl left ya'll became irrelevant How can Hali be STD Free @McWolf, you are there...Just like we all know Yukon must be infected by @Reives
