1. Blockbuster trade! Shawn Glade just got traded back to Davos after winning a cup in Vancouver. How legit are Davos next season? they are legitness 2. Podrick Cast is still kicking, but next season has to be his last. What odds do you give Moscow of winning the championship next season? medium odds, they're playoff caliber but not champs yet 3. Matt Thompson faces free agency after a couple of very successful seasons with Helsinki. In your opinion, does he jump ship or stay the course? jumps ship, gets tired of winning, and goes to an expansion team 4. Not too many players tend to switch teams during free agency, but the S66 class was huge. Will the FA market be any different with so many S66ers finally getting their first taste of freedom? yep, i can say that at least 5 high profile s66ers (not me, im staying) will leave their teams 5. What's your favorite fan experience in the VHL so far? when a lady asked me to sign her bobbies 6. What's your plan for the off-season? Any fancy beach vacations or hiking in the Alps planned? go back to iceland and train 7. Whose retirement are you saddest about? kastelic cause hes a consummate professional 8. Dogs or cats? This one is important. neither, i have allergies to both 9. Let's go back to your VHLM days. If you weren't allowed to play for your old VHLM team, who would you have liked to play for? Philadelphia, cause they have a great lr 10. What three cities would you like to see included in the VHL? If the expansion team locations have already been announced, you can't use those! Reykjavik, London, and Tokyo

1. Riga had a good series against Moscow - and we took them in five games! Who were your three stars for the series? Kriketers was stellas as always, Svoboda led us in scoring, and Kastelic was also very good 2. The Vancouver-Calgary series once again went 7 games with a picture-perfect finish. Who was the MVP of the North American series in your opinion? Beau Louth 3. The VHLM playoffs are going strong, too. Anyone in particular you're keeping your eye on for Riga? No 4. (if Toronto/Vancouver hasn't finished yet) Who's most likely to take this series? Vancouver 5. (if Toronto/Vancouver is over) Did the North American series go the way you thought it would? Yes 6. Who's the best player not on Riga that might be taken in the expansion draft? No clue mate 7. How much longer will Toronto's strategy of trading away all of their draft picks for high-TPE veterans work? Not much if they're all retiring. They're mortgaging their future to win now, which is stupid. 8. I've never heard a peep from Kriketers, but he's been in goal for Riga for his entire career. What's his deal? Just a quiet superstar. Doesn't say much, but puts his head down and works. 9. With Kastelic's (and Kovalchuk's) success in switching from defense to forward, do you think we'll see even more position switches in the next season or so? What do you think makes them successful? Maybe. Kastelic switched positions for the team, and he's a true leader. He's successful because he's just a talented player outright. 10. What's the most challenging part about being a VHL player? Staying active in a league that kind of bores you and isn't your main priority.

As many of you know, last time expansion was mulled I wrote an article advocating for expansion to my home country of Iceland. I'm a major Icelandic patriot and want to see hockey grow exponentially in my home country. The last time expansion was mulled, I was one of 2 Icelandic players at the time, with the other, Jakob Vihjalmsson, in a VHL role. Vihjalmsson is now a free agent, and I have now cracked the roster of the Riga Reign and am having a decent season, already besting my point totals of 12 for last season with 20 right now. And I've yet to mention that there's more Icelanders? Kolur Bjoernsson is a goalie who's been stellar in the VHLM. Last season he led Philadelphia to a championship with some outstanding stats (.909 save percentage, 1.81 GAA), but has struggled to perform in the VHL with New York, with a staggering 23 losses and a GAA of 4.13. Bjorn Scoringsonn is arguably the most promising Icelandic player since Grimm Jonsson. I think he's gonna be better than me. He's been awesome for Davos this season as a rookie, scoring 36 points after starring for that Reapers team last season with 66 points and 19 in the playoffs. Philadelphia seems to have a thing for Icelanders, as Sigurd Gunnar plays for them. The left winger has been outstanding this season, averaging over a point per game with 68 points in 62 games. And we can't forget about the son of "The Dentist", Wolf Stansson Jr. Stansson, who plays for my alma mater in Yukon, has 58 points as a defenseman, which is insane. He's also 6'8" and 250 pounds. He's a big dude, but he's an offensive defenseman who shies away from physicality, unlike his father, who was a brute. How does this relate to Icelandic expansion? Well, the sport has been on the rise in Iceland, if you can't tell by more Icelanders like Gunnar and Stansson Jr. playing in the VHLM. Reykjavik is more deserving now more than ever of a hockey team. Iceland is transitioning into a hockey nation, and I myself couldn't be more excited. I grew up idolizing Grimm Jonsson and hoping one day that the VHL would expand to Iceland. With the recent boom of hockey in the country, and Icelanders like myself, Bjorn Scoringsonn, and Kolur Bjoernsson making the VHL and doing moderately well there, expansion to the Laugardalsholl Sport Center looks more and more likely. And I wouldn't be happier if I found out that my home country would indeed get a team. It would mean the world to me to see a football nation, raised up by legends such as Gylfi Sigurdsson, Eidur Gudjohnsen, and Asgeir Sigurdarsson, turn into a hockey nation where players like the twice aforementioned Grimm Jonsson would be seen as sporting heroes and would encourage young Icelandic players to play hockey and get an actual professional hockey team into the country. We have a small league where all four teams are in Reykjavik, but we need more. We need a VHL franchise in Reykjavik to boost the populace.

1. The trade deadline recently passed, if you could add any player in the league to Riga via trade, who would it be and why? hans gruber, he's young and would solidify our center depth 2. What is the best team logo in the VHL/VHLM? riga 3. What team logo should be re-branded, and why? malmo 4. Ryan Kastelic recently changed from defense to center, if you had to change your position- what would you choose and why? I would also change to center, as I've invested all of my TPE in recent weeks into faceoffs so I can eventually replace Kastelic. 5. As of today, who is your MVP of Riga? Kastelic. He leads us in points and is totally a team first player, changing positions to help the team 6. What team is the ideal first round opponent against Riga in the playoffs? Davos, as i think we can reverse the curse 7. What player in the league has surprised you the most this season? me. i went from sucking last year to having a really solid season splitting time lines 2 and 3. 8. What user can you see being the next VHL GM? (Tag them) That @Tate guy sounds like he could be a good GM 9. You'll be attending Hogwarts in the fall but instead of choosing an animal as your pet you have to pick a Pokemon instead, which Pokemon do you choose and why? Pikachu cause he loyal and he shocc peeopl 10. What House does the Sorting Hat assign to you and your Pokemon? slytherin cause i'm like the team bully (176 hits, 87 pims)

1. We've heard VHL locker rooms can get pretty vulgar. Who talks the most smack in your experience? me cause fuck all yall (jk) 2. Our wonderful AGM Tate very quickly earned his management spot on the team. How'd he do it? just was a good old canadian boy. willing to help out with lines and just a great lr presence. 3. Who's the most superstitious member on Riga? hackett 4. Who's the most beloved member on this site? gorlab 5. Which member gets more hate than they deserve? gorlab 6. What change would you suggest to improve your experience with the VHL? make it more fun. i kinda feel burnt out and am pretty much just updating for the team, not myself. 7. Seattle has 7 overtime losses this season. What gives? 8. The Wranglers just made a trade swapping Joel Ylonen and Maxim Kovalchuk. What does this do for their championship aspirations? helps it 9. Provided how deep many VHL teams are, what do you think will happen to all of the draft picks? Does New York really need 10 picks in the first 3 rounds this year? no 10. The Titans sit at 21-10-3 -- an excellent record, but still a whopping 14 points behind Toronto. Why are they so far behind with all of the talent on their roster? they suck and toronto doesn't
