My day 7 memory is having the points trophy named after my first player. I worked really hard in those early days glad it paid off 57 seasons later still near the top.

Day 6 memory is probably my favorite time in the VHL my whole team and tenure with with the RIga Reign minus the only winning 1 cup thing. Too many members to thank here but you know who you area.

Day 4 memory was the winning of my first cup with Toronto only to lose in OT game 7 the following season.

I hadn't even thought about trying to GM again but if there is literally no1 to take the job I would. Wouldn't care if Devise did all the work either won't be in the VHL for a while anyway.

3rd memory was being traded from Vasteras to Toronto and taking over as GM.

Day 2 memory was not being draft but the crazy trade after my rookie season that sent me from Seattle to Vasteras involving Scotty.

It has been a fast few days for Mike Szatkowski III. He suprisingly declared for the Season 57 VHL Draft, signed with the Las Vegas Aces, and has already played in three games. Those within the family knew this was always the path but as the deadline approached many started to wonder. "I always planned to follow in the footsteps of my father and grandfather in the VHL. I didn't want the circus following me or for my legacy to carry me. I know the name will only take me so far and at the end of the day the results need to be there on the ice. Do I have a potential leg up over the competition? Yes. Probably. That doesn't mean they don't want it as bad as me in fact they will probably hate me for my past and I'll have to work twice as hard to earn their respect."

Not pretty beat down my first game set my hopes too high back to reality.

Not so good 2nd game lost and was a useless piece of scum.

First game with the team 2 assists and a W good sign for the future.

I joined the ESHL just in time to work really hard get drafted and have the league fold early in my rookie season. My first best memory of the VHL is lurking the forums to make sure the league wouldn't fold right away. Eventually making my player part of the S3 draft class starting me down the road that was VHL.

How is this working out?

If this is still open i'd actually like to throw my name into the ring. I have a proven VHL track record dating back to the beginning. I've held nearly every VHL job over the years. Not familiar with Indesign but have decent amount of exp with photoshop, illustrator, gimp, and others. Just did some googling there are some other programs I could use for this as well once I learn them.

I don't know how active I'll be yet but we'll give it a try. I'll probably do point tasks for a while then largely become a 5TPE welfare person.

Former VHL great Mike Szatkowski was seen on the golf course this past weekend and gave us a few words. His grandson Mike Szatkowski III son of Mike Szatkowski Jr. has just declared his draft intentions for the VHL. Like his grandfather Szatkowski is a playmaking center. He had this to say: "When I was playing for the VHL I had no idea my son and grandson would follow in my footsteps. I've known for a while now that he intended to join the VHL. It is great now that this is public so I don't have to hide it anymore. I could not be prouder of him carrying on the Szatkowski legacy in the VHL. I know he will do great things as we all have." Saying this is a shock isn't even half of it. Many VHL officials are giddy over the prospect of drafting Szatkowski III. Rumor has it he intends to sign with Las Vegas and see how he stacks up first in the VHLM.
