Quick intro here I haven't been active in the VHL since Season 48. For those that know me well in the VHL, I've got a reputation for being an unorthodox GM and somewhat abrasive toward others (I like to put up a false cockyness on the VHL forum that doesn't accurately reflect my true self.) My most notorious run as VHL GM is probably S28-S39 for the Riga Reign. The Reign started the VHL out victorious (wasn't always team name though), only missing the playoffs four times in the first 12 seasons. They even won the cup two out of 3 times S8/S10 (Lost to me in Toronto S9 & beat me in Toronto S10). The Reign won the continental cup again in S16, and then the rails started to come apart a bit. They made the playoffs a few more times after but then kind of lost their luster. From Season 18 until 30, they made the playoffs just twice with no cups. Since Season 31, Riga has only missed the playoffs ten times in nearly 40 seasons. They have won the cup 6 times and made the finals four other times. They even sit on a 9 season playoff run right now, which will go at least another season.

I just arrived into town. I have never been to the town of Salem before and am not sure what is going on. The town seems to have had a bad experience with a resident before I got here. I'll just go with the group as to not anger the current residents Vote @Nykonax

The Covid-19 virus has over 4500 confirmed cases in the U.S. There are over 400 in Canada, 100 in Russia (they lying), 28,000 in Italy, and so on, nearing on 200,000 cases worldwide. Moments ago New York State has issued a mandate to close bars, restaurants, casinos, gyms, and etc starting at 8pm tonight indefinitely. Schools are closed around the country professional sports of all shapes and sizes. We have no more NHL, NBA, MLB, concerts, or even XFL. Yet here we are in the VHL where things go on business as usual. In fact while most places say no more than 10 people should be together at once we have a draft tonight. Season 71 is set to begin in the next couple of weeks as every where else in the world is closing its doors. Basically what I'm getting at is the Victory Hockey League very well may be the only sane organization left in the world. I mean come on its just a little cold.

Mann's VHL Introduction Exactly two weeks ago, the VHL receieved some mundane news unheard of defenseman DeFenz Mann entered the Season 72 VHL Draft. This declaration would have gone entirely unknown if not for the fact he is associated with VHL Hall of Famer Mike Szatkowski. Mann has been attending "The Mike Szatkowski Center for Kids Who Can't Play Hockey Good and Who Wanna Learn to Do Other Stuff Good Too." The center is an online school for athletes attempting to play hockey at a professional level. Mann (19) is the only student enrolled in this school and known to be participating in an online sports school. Who is Defenz Mann, and where does he come from? Mann is from the Dordogne area in southwest France, a small farming community speaking mostly English. There are no ice rinks or hockey players in his small town. If there is a nice freeze, you can skate on the tiny local stream. However, just because there is no formal hockey to watch or play locally doesn't mean there are no hockey fans. Mann grew up a considerable fan watching the late S50s into the S60s of the VHL. He was hooked and knew that his lifelong goal would be to play hockey professionally. As a near high school graduate with no hockey experience, he found no school willing to give him a chance on the rink. ...Szatkowski Center For Kids... Mann searched for months online for a way to make his dream come true. Through some shady clickbait social media article, he found his way the Szatkowski Center. All of the comments said it had to be fake news and could not be real. An online school for professional hockey? Mann was determinned knowing Szatkowski is a VHL Hall of Famer. He applied online and within a week received a video call from Szatkowski himself. For the last two years, he has been studying online diligently at the Szatkowski Center. Online Hockey School! How does that work? Mann had this to say about his curriculum and path to the VHL over the last two years: "Believe me, I know this whole process is weird and unorthodox. I've never even played a full game of 5vs5 hockey in a formal environment. What I liked about my training is we skipped all of the gen ed stuff like math and women's studies. My training has consisted of 1/3 part physical training, 1/3 part game/film study, and 1/3 part simulation." When pressed more about how professional hockey is simulated without actually playing the game, Mann had this to say: "I live-streamed a lot of NHL 94 on the Sega Genesis. Szatkowski would watch, and we'd go over tactics and training in real-time. I didn't even know what a SEGA was. I thought Szatkowski was joking, but a week later, the console and game showed up at my house." There you have it Mann, a farm boy from southwest France, feels he is ready for the VHLM. Due to the excellent physical condition and name recognition, rumors are swirling this defenseman may go in the second round.

Original Article Mr. Tate I don't know the man, but Mr. @Tate is right (seen above). The VHL salary cap is a paltry 45 million a season. The NHL is sitting at 81.5 million for the 2019-2020 season. The VHL has been around for 70+ seasons now, and we are paying our players half of the NHL? I can sum up the VHL elite in one simple word, GREED. Far too long have the fat cats at the top of the league prospered while its players have suffered. The NFL is currently voting on its new CBA deal. Where is our VHL union? I think the time has finally come for us players to come together and say enough is enough. What about the former players, our pension plan? Recently requirements were increased (400 TPE - 700 TPE) so that only better, more established players benefited. What happens to a rookie with a career-ending injury, does he not deserve medical help from the league? I say the players' band together and go on strike. Let the scabs who can't even get drafted play a season and see what happens to league revenue.
