To no surprise, the Seattle Bears landed Odin Omdahl at 3rd overall in the S70 VHL Draft this evening. Surely this is a great sign of what's to come for Omdahl, as Seattle is coming off of their second championship in as many seasons. Omdahl finished with 48 goals and 116 points in the VHLM last season. He's a very promising defenseman that can carry an offense, but is no slouch in his own end. With all of that being said, the Bears couldn't wait to get his ELC signed.

Omdahl appears to slot in as the 5th defenseman in the Bears' depth chart. He's going to have to work his way into the lineup, and by all means he has plenty of time to do it. Having just won the Continental Cup, Seattle is comprised of players that, to say the least, know what they're doing. They should act as mentors for him as he learns the ins and outs of not only playing for a VHL team, but also a contender.
