  1. Agreed. Markstrom is prob better then Holtby at this point, but Demko has the potential to be the best of the 3, but also the worst....
  2. Fr tho, Out:Domi,Hudon,Kinkaid In:Anderson, Toffoli, edmunston and Allen this team needed more secondary scoring and another Defenceman that can munch top 4 minutes. If Suzuki and Kotkaniemi are the real deal then this team is a cup favourite if price stays healthy. (Lots of variables) Marc Bergevin may have just saved his job if the anderson contract pays off and they make a push
  3. Can I be on a team w/ @Seabasspls?
  4. Tough to say, I can’t really pick a single movie, I’m a huge fan of the Indiana Jones series, as well as almost any horror movie.
  5. Ryan Ryker, The young VHLM’er who is set to be eligible for both the upcoming drafts, was arrested yesterday, for possession of 3 grams of Cannabis. He was booked in the Houston county jail, and was Bailed this morning by his trainer, former VHL player Alex Pearson. Police report states that Ryker was found in his backyard after his rat neighbour called the police to filed a complaint about the smell. Cops found a marijuana water pipe, as well as the three grams of Cannabis. Police say charges are unlikely to follow suit, due to the small amount of the drug. Ironically, Ryker seems to be following a similar path of the party lifestyle that his close friend and Trainer lived. Pearson was deemed missing for an entire summer once with close friend Seabass Perrin, and both showed up to Prague camp severely hungover and out of shape. Pearson was also arrested with Perrin, Two years prior, for fighting, and urinating on a cop. It will definitely be interesting to watch what antics Ryker will get up to. @Seabass
  6. Is everything like, upside down there?
  7. When I’m not drinking beer I do enjoy the occasional angry orchards or even Twisted Tea, as I’m a huge iced tea fan
  8. Mr. Glade, what you’ve just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
  9. Alex Pearson is not a well known VHL Superstar. He’s a very well known name in Prague though, and that time has come to an end. He played Seven seasons for the VHL’s Prague phantoms and has been on the team since its birth. Before the start of the season it was announced that his number would be retired at the beginning of next season. Which I’m sure Pearson is anxiously anticipating. His would be the first number retired by the phantoms. he was never a superstar, In fact he only scored 350 points in 504 games. But he gave it 100% every night, and never let his team down. His career was marred by injuries, which I’m sure he would love to undo. But nevertheless, I’m sure The newest member of Pearson’s former player agency, Ryan Ryker, is going to catch the eye of a lot of scouts. Were not sure what is going to happen after this, weather not not Pearson opts to go to Europe and continue playing hockey, or perhaps taking on a coaching role with a team, it will be interesting to see what path his career takes. He is extremely knowledgeable in the game of hockey and is still extremely passionate, so it’s hard to imagine him hanging up his skates for good after the completion of this season.
  10. 1. I didn’t even know that, that is pretty cool! And it will be either Landry or Leclair. 2.me and Draven go way back, we were teammates a few seasons ago in Prague before in left he free agency, it will definitely be a fun competitive series. (Or so he thought) 3. The energy, it fires me up so much I love it. 4. Don't get nervous, just treat it as a normal game and give it 100% and you will be fine. 5. Us in 5. I hope it will be close but we come out on top. 6.Honestly our rival dc. A lot of people were writing them off, but I think they could suprise some people.
  11. With the completion of the 74th VHL Season, Hockey fans in Houston had little to cheer about. While the bulls had a dreadful season at the start, they played a little bit better at the end after an influx of free agent signings. The fans in Houston became perplexed with one player in particular though, Eighteen year old Ryan Ryker. Ryker signed with the rebuilding Bulls to be closer to family, and at the start of the season, when Houston’s roster card was pretty light on most nights, Ryker always gave 100%. He definitely wanted to prove something to the scouts, who had written him off prior to this season. Strengths Vision And Hockey sense As someone who watched the bulls religiously this year, I can say that there are few players in the Draft Class better at puck retrieval than Ryker. He wins all his battles and always seems to know where the puck is going to be. That’s due to his hockey sense and vision skills, he reads every play and analyzes every teams pass, making him a terrific forechecker. Shot and Hands His Puck control and lethal snap shot compliment his hockey sense fantastically. He used his big frame to push past defenders and get into his favourite shooting lanes and laser home goals. He had an impressive 29 Goals in the VHLM as a rookie and if he improves on his game that number will surely climb next season. Speed When Ryan was 14, his greatest weakness was his skating, so his coach made him join figure skating to stay on the team. He was teased but his skating drastically over the months, and he actually met his future girlfriend and wife while on the highschool figure skating team. Weakness’s Checking Ryker is not a power forward. He has a rather big frame, and his coaches have always tried to get him to use it, but he always focused more on fine tuning his offensive instincts. Who knows, maybe once he turns pro that is something he will work on. Faceoffs Ryker is strictly a winger. He tried to play center in Bantam but he was so bad at faceoffs it was almost hilarious. He made the shift to right wing and has never looked back since, and has vocally protested when asked about shifting to Center to raise his draft stock. Fighting The VHL is a much more aggressive league then its minor league. Ryker isn’t very good at checking, and has never won a fight, so that’s something he should probably work on this offset to bulk up. He once said someone tried to grab his girlfriend’s ass, and in retaliation he tried to fight to guy, and was knocked out instantly. Ryan Ryker is certainly an intriguing player. He player very well on a bad team, so it remains to see how competitive he can truly be on a team fighting for a playoff spot or a championship. Teams might be weary of that, but he’s definitely a hard worker, and has the work ethic to excel in the big leagues, so it will be interesting to see where he will be drafted.
