The Seattle Bears Dynasty - S68-S73 - A Comprehensive History
Steve replied to Victor's topic in Archived Media Spots
Fun times with the Bears. Much respect for Bana and the team. -
Well the season ended and we are on the outside looking in. Toronto had a very good season in every aspect except winning. The players are working hard to become better and the future is even more brighter. We knew going into this season it was a development year. The team played several impressive games with standout performances from many on the team. It was a learning season and we now know what we need to succeed in the future. Our team is dedicated to being a top contender in the seasons upcoming. We had several players in the top ten in many categories. That is a good indication that we are on the right path. I think this time, Toronto will have a solid foundation to sustain success for many seasons. From our rookies to our veteran players, everyone is pushing hard to become better. Lead by a GM that has the skill and knowledge to make the right moves. While it is never a good feeling to miss the playoffs, we are proud of the team and what we have done during the season. Next season should be interesting.

Review: It's big. Logo could use a tad of blurr to match the render. Contrast is fairly bland but looks like it how you wanted it. Not bad. Happy New Years. 7/10

Review: Looks like a solid design. It's way too large but other than that it stays within your concept. A bit more render detail would help this though that could be how you wanted it. Good effort. 7/10

1. How was your Christmas? Very good. Stayed home and enjoyed the peace and quiet. 2. Do you have any plans between now and New Years? Stay home and enjoy the peace and quiet. 3. What did you get? Socks, underwear and a tie. 4. What are you looking forward too in 2021? A Covid free world. 5. VHL related now... but what do you think of Toronto's season? We came together and did played an honest game. 6. On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate your players performance in 75? Merrick exceeded all expectations for the season, thanks to his linemates.

Review: Impressive sig. Simple background but it works. The effects over the render seem a little disconnected from the background but as a whole, it works. Great placement of your render and text. Not easy to pull off centered renders but this looks well balanced. Great job. 8.5/10

Review: One thing about reviewing, you can't just look at someone's graphic and compare it to what you like but what the member is aiming for. With this thought process, I think this graphic is very cool and retro. Font/text, render, colors all work within this design and I could not make any suggestions to change it. Well done, I like where you went with this. 8.5/10 @Mrpenguin30

This week I am going to focus on my player and team. John Merrick has been playing really well all season long. I credit that to having excellent team mates and a GM that is doing what he can for the future of the team. Merrick has been near the top of the league in points and with a lot of luck in the final games, could actually be the top scorer. Building off a solid season last year, Merrick continues to improve in the areas needed to be a good center. Looking at the team, we have tons of talent. We have some defensemen that will be solid in the near future and the forwards, well, we are in the top group in offense so that part of the team is running like a well oiled machine. I see nothing but good things for Toronto. Great team spirit and the desire to succeed. Even though we are missing the big show this season, as of now we are positive in or goals for and against. This highlights the effort our youth has been putting in to make themselves and the team a true championship contender in the upcoming seasons. Good to be in Toronto. I would easily pick this team if I were a rookie wanting to play and be a part of something special. Safe holidays to all.

New York Americans Press Conference Questions
Steve replied to STZ's topic in Team Press Conferences
1. We currently sit 2nd last in the VHL, however 9 points ahead of LAS. Can they catch us in the standings? No, you guys are firmly in that place. 2. Have you looked at the S76 draft class? Who goes 1st Overall? I haven't looked but I hear it is kind of deep. 3. Who is the most underrated player on NYA? I would say most of the team has been underrated. Good players here. 4. There were only 2 trades at the trade deadline this past monday. How can GM's be incentivized to make more deadline deals? Only deal when it fits in with the overall plan. 5. Do you have a favourite video game currently? Black Desert Online 6. Do you prefer giving gifts or receiving them? I like it both ways. -
Thank you. Stay safe everyone.

This won't be about how my player is doing or how Toronto is working for the future. This short article is about helping others in the real world. Reaching out to those that might have issues with drugs or depression or both. Whatever the problem is, show that person that there is someone that does care about them and their well being. Everyone has problems, that's how life works, but some are getting pushed to the edge and will keep heading in that direction. If there is a small chance you can comfort someone, please do it. Life in today's world is really fucked up for some. It is hard to help when you are locked up like an animal. I urge you to think hard about anyone that is fighting a demon. You could be that one person that saves a life. The holidays are a mixed bag of emotions. A lot of Christmas cheer and everyone adjusting to a different way to be safe and still have a satisfying experience. Some people find it the worst time of the year as it will conjure up bad memories or events. Those are the ones that need that extra love this time of the year. While I enjoy playing in this league a lot, while I do my tasks each week and make a graphic, I am taking more time to reach out to old friends and family that might not be having the greatest of times. Last Saturday my nephew took his life. He was a confused young man but had a huge heart. I wish I would have been more involved with him as I knew he had a few issues he was dealing with. I hope the best for everyone. Please be safe and try to have a connection with those that need it. Safe and happy holiday....Steve.

Review: This graphic has good balance. I like the text placement though not sure about the font. I can't tell if this is a cutout or effects over an image. The pixel line effect seems too strong and the splatter effect doesn't add anything other than colors that don't work well with the rest of the palette. This sounds like I dislike this graphic, I don't. I think a few tweaks and better effect choices would have made this stellar. 7/10 @Hylands

Review: You made a very eye friendly sig that has all the elements needed. Format looks good, background is interesting but not dominate. Text is subjective but looks fine to me. I would say the only thing I would have liked to see is the render's face have a bit more pop/detail. Overall, very well done. 8.5/10 @Jubo07

1. If you are a charitable individual... what type of charities do you donate/contribute towards? I really like "Toys for Tots" program and have been involved with them for years. 2. What has been your favorite game this season? Pick any of the games that we won and that would be it. 3. If you could change one thing about the VHL what would it be? Replace the sim engine. To what? I have no idea. 4. I can see some of you playing Cyberpunk 2077... are you enjoying it? I can't get past the character creation screen. Should my player have big boobs and a dick or not. 5. What are your favorite games at the moment? Shit game Cold War is still on my playlist. Black Desert Online is an addiction. Forza Horizon 4 out of habit. 6. If the entire locker room played an Among Us (or similar game) who do you think would be the best liar and why? Would have to be...Jaxx.

Happy Holidays to all.

Review: Good formatting. Render looks clean, maybe a bit over processed. Background is simple yet works with your design. I love the font for the first name, not so much for the last name. Overall, great job. 8/10

Review: This is what it's all about. Great design that is well executed. I love the renders and positioning. Text is solid. One of the better graphics I have seen lately. Well done my friend. 9.5/10 @STZ

With the season well over halfway, Toronto finds itself fighting for wins. It has been really good to see our team work hard. With our youth proving to be the future, the team is headed in the right direction. Seven players on the team are above or near above a point per game. Not bad really. The potential we have is really unlimited. While wanting to win, we are keeping our expectations at a realistic level. We are building something here that should last several seasons. Playing on a team with a GM that is totally transparent and open to opinions, I find this to be the best experience I have had in the league in that regard. I real pleasure to play on the Toronto team. The team is active and hard at work learning skills that will put us in a good place in the future. I can't imagine playing for another team. Toronto is special. I hope to see a string of winning seasons here in Toronto during my career. I fully believe that will happen and we will have the cup in the near future.

1. We're a good bit into the season now, who do you think is the league MVP frontrunner as of now? It's hard to tell. There are a lot of players doing very well. 2. What team has surprised you the most so far this season? I think London United has being playing good hockey. 3. How are you feeling about the season so far? Management is happy, but as a player whats your opinion on Toronto's performance thus far? I always want more out of my player, but I think that is how it should be. Work hard, get better. 4. Other than Toronto, which city is your favorite to play in, why? Seattle because there is that chance of beating them in their own barn. 5. We value our players here in Toronto, what improvements would you like to see from the organization? This could be related to anything, locker room, team composition etc. Soap on a Rope has been on my "things I really want" list. 6. The holidays are just around the corner. How do you plan to celebrate, if at all? Same as any other day really. Spend money, eat too much.

Review: I like this design. Great detail in the render which I often go for. Text looks good and I think it is placed well. Background compliments the render/design even though it is a bit simple. Overall, great job. 8.5/10
