  1. Review: What a brilliant product. This is what I really enjoy, a non typical design that really stays true to it's theme. Your presentation of this was well thought out and I really like the background/text/render marriage. If I had to pick a weak spot, it would be that it is a bit heavy to the left. Great job. I really like this design. 9.5/10
  2. 1. In your opinion... how was Toronto's S75 VHL Entry Draft? | (For Draftees: What was your reaction when you discovered you were selected by the Toronto Legion?) I think the future of the team just got better. 2. John Merrick was irritatingly disregarded in the Top Rookie discussion, while recently retired Ritchie wasn't even a nominee for most improved... so how would you rate your faith in our 'award committee'? It is what it is. Nothing to worry about, do you talking in the win column. 3. Jaxx Hextall is sticking around! What do you think about having a solid goalie in net? | (For Rookie: When asked to waive your NTC, what made you decide you wanted to stick around in Toronto?) Good to hear. He has been our savior this last season and I am sure we will need his talent again. 4. In your honest opinion... was moving Killinger and Magnum a mistake or a requirement? Trading your two best players? What could possibly go wrong..... 5. What are your own personal projections for your player in the upcoming season? I would hope Merrick continues to improve. 6. What about the Toronto Legion? How do you think we will do this season. I think we will be in a development season, so we will see how it plays out.
  3. Well our season is over being kicked out of the playoffs in the conference finals. Toronto made an impressive run and we aren't hanging our heads over the playoffs. We were a solid mid tier team that played really well at times. We have our work cut out for us as we prepare for next season. We should have some youth coming up that will be a good lift in time. I am not sure about any moves that might happen but we are a player or two away from having a solid team. All those things are what make a GM's job really hard. Finding the right fit and then being able to deal for a player looks to be an interesting circle jerk that I am glad to be no part of. With a couple more seasons with Toronto, Merrick will have a chance to develop and see how well he will perform with a bigger role. No matter what team John plays on, almost, he will work hard each week to develop into a top tier player.
  4. 1) Who do you think will go 1st overall in the upcoming draft? That one guy, the one with a lot of tpe. 2) Which rookie in our team will make the biggest impact next season? (Byrne or Askarov) They both will do great. 3) How happy are you with Jubis recent trades this off-season? I can't complain. 4) Do you think Patrik Tallinder, DeFenz Mann and Edwin THE Encarnacion will help us more offensively? Which we sucked at last year. Simon T is a curl bitch. Who knows how anyone will play. 5) What do you think our lines should look like opening night? Well you should have 4 forward lines and 3 defensive lines. 6) What are you doing during this long off-season? Wasting time doing sims, just the during the season.
  5. Review: I think you did a good job with this graphic. Not crazy about the pink tone in the jersey, something you get if you over process an image. background looks stock, could have tied it to the render a bit more. Text is good. A bit small but fits your design choice. Not sure about the random splatter. 8/10
  6. Review: Good looking sig. Great detail in the face. I am a huge fan of this design where the render's face shows good details. The text isn't bad, not a fan for the font of his first name or the glow effect but it does work with this design. Good job. 8/10
  7. Toronto made the big show and had a good run. With even making the playoffs were in question at the beginning of the season, it was good to see us pull it together and make it into the playoffs. We blew through the first round but hit a wall in the conference finals. We can look at this from two different directions. First off, we played an honest game and pushed our way into the playoffs. Something to be proud of. Second, we couldn't beat the better team, we were out played and lost. I think both ways to look at Toronto's season and postseason are accurate. The main thing to take away from this season is that we will get better, and that is going to equate to a better outcome. We have key players that play big and a few that should be better next season. The future is bright in Toronto.
  8. 1. Sadly the Legion were eliminated in game seven of the NA Conference Finals, but there's a list of positive feats we accomplished this season. What would be your favorite thing Toronto overcame or accomplished this season? A poor start and the ability to adjust our game to be successful. 2. What was your reaction when Toronto defeated Seattle four games to one? It felt really good. Great team effort. 3. As an individual do you consider this season a success... or a failure? A huge success. We improved during the season and made a good push. 4. What have you been doing so far this off season? Nothing but rest then back to training. 5. Toronto has a few picks in the upcoming entry draft, what are you hoping the team does with those picks? Picks anyone that is actively trying to improve. 6. On a scale from one to ten... how do you rate Toronto's season? 9.5. We were a lucky bounce away from being in the finals.
  9. Review: You have a great start with this graphic. You didn't over process it with Topaz, which is good. I like the direction this is going but I would really like to review it after it has text. Text, in my opinion, is about the hardest part of any project. 7/10
  10. Review: Fun graphic to look at. The elements stay within the theme. It has a good look to it with the simple background with minimal effects. Good job. 8/10
  11. 1. Regardless on where Toronto lands in the draft -- hopefully sixteenth for obvious reasons -- there are still quality prospects deep into the second and potentially third rounds. Do you have anyone you're interested in that's 'off the board' at all, or are you content leaving the scouting to management? I don't have any opinions on prospects. 2. We're currently enjoying a series lead against the Seattle Bears, do you think we can close the series off and advance to the next round against either the Vancouver Wolves or DC Dragons? We will best the Bears and lose in a good series to Vancouver. According to the Psychic Hotline. 3. As your general manager -- in times where you've needed me for anything -- how helpful have I been for you? Wait, you are the GM? Cool. Always been helpful and fair. 4. Our team has been lead offensively by our captain, do you have any thoughts about that? / (For Corco) You've been a quiet leader during your tenure with the Legion, and now you're leading them once again in your second playoff appearance. How do you feel about that? Well somebody has to step up and lead the pack, might as well be the high skilled captain. 5. It's been a season removed since we made the playoffs (S72) -- how would you describe the feeling you have about being in the post season? Always fun to make it into the playoffs. Never thought we wouldn't. 6. Do you think Toronto has what it takes to make the playoffs again next season? Well I hope we don't get worse during the off season. I would think the future should be brighter.
  12. John Merrick's Rookie Experience The move into the big league can be a scary thought to some players. It is easy to get comfortable playing against lower skilled players in the minors. Making the jump into the big league can be brutal as you are playing against big men, not young boys. John Merrick was not at all worried, he relished the thought of playing on Toronto and playing with and against the top players in the VHL. Coming off a good minor league season, John Merrick was confident that he could contribute to the team on a limited role. Little did he know he would play huge minutes and have to center the second unit. It was a dream come true. John Merrick's first full VHL season wasn't bad at all. With 84 points, he was well over a point per game. Not a bad start to his VHL career. Also he wasn't a liability as he finished the season with a plus 27. The pressure was a bit high to perform. Being drafted 5th overall does put a bit a pressure on you to get the job done and prove you were worth the risk. John feels like he did a fine job in his first season and the pressure now is just winning games in the playoffs. Coming to Toronto was a painless part of the transition. They are a very well organized team and has a great GM. The team took to John and made him feel at home. All things felt right about the move up to the big league. It wasn't all rainbows and roses, but it was a start and the team pulled together and started to win games against the leagues finest. With roles being defined as the season move through the schedule, John felt very comfortable in his role. He ate a lot a minutes in his first season, something that not all rookies can say. With continued hard work, John Merrick looks to have a great career in the VHL. All signs are pointing to success, no matter where he plays, John feels he can contribute and be a viable player for just about any team. Making a run for the cup in his first season has been the icing on the cake. The playoffs are tough, even tougher on a rookie. John has handled the playoffs well so far with 10 points in 7 games. Nothing is easy though. Every series can go either way but John is doing what he has always done, work hard and be the best that he can be.
  13. Review: While it isn't my favorite color palette, it looks really good here. Render looks good and placement makes sense. Text looks really good and works with your design. Good job. 8/10
  14. Review: This one has some interesting elements. It also looks a bit off with the color palette you used. Not a fan of the blocky pixelated background. Maybe if it were a different color it would look better. Format looks good, just doesn't seem to work well with some of your choices. 7/10
  15. Well Toronto made the playoffs. We are facing a big powerhouse of a team with Seattle. Their cup run has made them the latest dynasty and they know what to do this time of year. To say we have our work cut out for us is an understatement. Toronto does have a “can do” attitude and we won't back down or roll over and play dead. We will put up a fight and I can say for certain that we will not be swept. Toronto has some youth that will be much better next season along with the veterans that carry the team. We have to be sharp and stay out of the box. We have to score on the power play when we can. Seattle can be beat but it will take some Simon luck to do it. We are a determined bunch and like a good scrap. This series will be a hard one. It will take all our tools in the bag to get past this team. Toronto seems to be ready to answer the bell. Seattle is always ready to play hard and long. Let's see how this one goes.
  16. 1. Toronto has battled into 3rd place in our conference and is in a tight race for the playoffs, what do we need to do to finish off this season? Play our game and we will be in the playoffs. 2. Is there a particular team you’d like to see us faceoff against in the playoffs? Seattle would be a great test for us. 3. Who has been the team MVP up to this point of the season? Everyone on our team is an MVP. 4. As AGM what are some things you’d like me to do for the team other than pressers? Hand out the towels in the shower would be great of you. 5. It's been a long season are you guys wearing down at all or are you just now hitting your peak? Just hitting my peak. 6. Hit me with your favorite food combos! We could sell them during games or something. Sardine/peanut butter sandwich.

  18. Review: I think you did a fine job with this low profile sig. Good render placement and the background fits your design well. I think you could have taken everything a step farther. Some text effects would have gone a long way here. Overall, great job. 8.5/10
  19. Review: I really like your render. Very clean and well cut. I always look at the format and have never really like centered renders but this one really works. I would suggest to add a texture or other stock to the background as it has to much empty space. I like the font, I just wish you have more to this graphic. Great job. 7/10
  20. 1. As a member of the Toronto Legion, you've just celebrated thanksgiving in Canada. How did you spend your holiday, and what kind of food(s) did you eat? I kicked back, drank beer and watched whatever sport was on the tv. Can't remember the food but I had fun. 2. For thanksgiving, Toronto was awarded with two 5-2 victories to jump seven points above the team that could push them out of position. How do you feel about the teams post-season birth being slowly built up after a 1-9-1 start? It was bound to happen. The players are very motivated and have worked hard to get this far. 3. Jaxx Hextall has been nothing but quality in Toronto's last four games, including three games with forty one or more saves, do you think he's finally found his groove? / (For Rookie) Has Hextall performed more like you were hoping in the last couple set of sims, or do you expect more out of your goalie? Jaxx is a great goalie. I don't blame any loses on him. It was a team defense failure that set us back at the start, not Jaxx. He will be a very good goalie for seasons to come. 4. Raleigh Ritchie announced his retirement for the end of the season, and is currently enjoying his best season in yet in the Victory Hockey League. How do you feel about his upcoming departure? / (For Danger) Ritchie is currently underway in his most productive season yet, did retiring come with hard decisions or did you know this is what you 100% wanted? I hope the best for him and I know all about retiring a good player. I was worth it. 5. Ziarie Anigbogu recently resigned with the Legion for three seasons, what do you think of the extension? / (For NG4) How do you feel about resigning with Toronto? That's great news. We have to solidify players for the future. 6. The trade deadline has passed, and Toronto held firm by keeping their S74 first and second round draft picks. Are you happy that there was no movement, or do you think Toronto should have acquired more players for a playoff push? I am very happy we kept our picks. They are easy to lose and hard to keep. We did good. Drafting will be critical.
