  3. What a giant troll lol
  4. 77 with a lime
  5. Askarov is 6-0-1 he has at least 1 more start in the books due to league rules. He might come close to or right up to 10 games, in hopes next year he can still be in the running for rookie of the year. Its been a long season, cheering from the bench. For the most part watching Calgary success. He sits as a very promising young goalie, but unlike most youngsters though his path is less clear to being a starter. He hopes soon he can see the future as he watches Doug Dimmindore/Bacon/Malone all starting with similar TPE levels or lower. He hopes he can eventually be less bored, of the league. Its been a tough season adjusting in a league soley based around looking at stat sheets. Hopefully Calgary can atleast win a cup so it makes this long season worth it. Till then he will just keep pushing forward as he looks to the future. Hoping to make a bigger impact than he has so far
  6. Everyone contributes when you are number 1 in anything. Including goals allowed. Could use some offense, then cup hoe. Dont follow drafts anyone who helps us win a guess Vodka cuz im a russian sterotype Probably the french goalie Lafontaine hes a weirdo. Win a cup before i retire for good from the VHL.
  7. Hes been missing since the playoffs 3 seasons ago when he choked it up versus Komarov
  8. 5 cyberpunk days
  9. Calgary we lost 3games in a row, Askarov no worry i got us from losing 4. #askarovgodmode
  10. Wait who the heck is Askarov and the most english sounding name ever. Lol
  11. Askarov rookie in Calgary Adjusting to a new role Being a rookie is a huge experience for any kid. Joining the big leagues after developing playing kids. Now you play the best of the best in the VHL. This is even worse when it comes to being a goalie, all of a sudden shots are harder, teams are deeper, and players are better. These are not kids around the same age, some of them could be his fathers age. They train, harder and have more experience against the best than the kids he is used to suiting up against. If it is not bad enough being a rookie, Askarov is adjusting to a whole new role. After playing all but 4 games over the last 2 seasons in Mississauga, Askarovs rookie season has seen him only start 5 games so far in his young career. In fact he will start so few games, he will continue to be an official rookie next season. Being a back up, means not only still needing to work hard, but be prepared to be thrown to the wolves at any time. Training is critical, Askarov missed a week, but for the most part has been the first guy on the ice, and last one off. This way he is best prepared for whenever, and whomever he may face when he gets his next start. In fact if you ask a lot of pros, from all the major hockey leagues. Most goalies say the hardest thing to do is be a back up. Your expected to play less, but when called upon make sure you do the best you can to help the team win. At the time of writing this, Askarov is 4-0-1 collecting 9 out of 10 possible points. He dons a 913sv% and a 2.19GAA with one shut out. He has done everything asked of him to this point. He hopes he can win whatever the rest of his starts are. To keep himself undefeated, in regulation to start his career off with a bang. He likes his teammates in Calgary, Tallinder, Thornton, Lafonfontaine, and others have been very inviting. Despite it being unclear just what his future holds in Calgary. They still treat him with respect and like a team mate which is a good thing as a team. Calgary overall feels much like a Russian city. Its cold, lots of snow, mountains and lots of wide open space. Which means Askarov feels at home, he does not look much like a tourist or someone from a foreign land, because he is comfortable on ice roads, and lots of snow with cold temperatures.
  12. Nvm im crazy lol u in the VHL haha
  13. 5 games, is a Askarov has seen between the pipes. Likely to keep his rookie status for next season he will maybe start 4 more games. As the unofficial rule is 10 games for rookie status. Going from starting basically every game for 2 seasons, to a back up role. Has been hard, its even shown in his work ethic he has phoned it in. Even missing his first ever week of training since joining the league. Its clear this is not something he will be able to do long. Askarov has played well. He hopes to win the rest of his games he starts. Well he is curious to see what the plan is going forward. As he's showing, the boredness being a back up early. It is very unclear just when he will start next, as its clear they are playing him versus very specific opponents. With a tough schedule ahead he has not seen the ice in more than 10 games and no end in sight.
  14. Steak because who doesnt like good steak. Feel like Calgary probably has some good steak. Possible for 200 be shocked at 250 Canadiens because of the goalie duo. Askarov because best back up in the league. Starts lol because well 5 The ranch i suppose
  15. As a goalie who is currently gunna play maybe 8 games i approve
  16. Anyone whose gunna make the playoffs. These 2 clearly the Mcdavid, Drai of the VHL. All the points no defense or playoffs
  17. Could use some pictures, but overall a very good article about seattle and the players who drive its success. 8/10
  18. Always good to see more russian players join. Feels like im one of few people who actually make russian players. Mind you im biased . Could use a titles, and some pictures but good article all the same. 7/10
  19. Vsevolod Askarov sits 2-0-1 with picking up 5 out of 6 points he can for Calgary. With a 905sv% and 2.6 gaa, the stats do not jump out. However when you consider he is a rookie on a team currently streaky as Calgary has been it gives the totals a better context. The rookie netminder is still unclear on his future, Calgarys goalie is set for awhile and Askarov is not just happy sitting and waiting well lesser goalies are getting starting gigs. He will keep pushing, but when his contract is up. There will be a conversation about the future, of Askarov and Calgary. For now he is soley focused on this season, as he is not used to such long waits between games after carrying Mississauga to the finals last season.
