  1. Fun article that I really enjoyed reading and laughed out loud at times. Punctuation was a bit off, but I figured out what they were trying to state. Article was different, with humor and kept my interest through out. 7/10
  2. Interesting Article. Broke down each team and why they've been successful this season. Included top players and their statistics to date. Even left input for what some teams wood need to do to continue their success. Loved It. 9/10

Mississauga did their best to make a comeback with Su scoring his 2nd of the game from Joakim Sakic and then Adil Mahmood, his 13th from Ryder Pyatt to cut the lead to 6-3. But 40 seconds later Ray Sheilds completed his 5 point performance with number 15 on the campaign, from Dickson and Armstrong. A late power play goal by Albert Stoner (3) to complete the scoring and a 7-4 thrashing. Game winning goalie Nick Fomba stopped 35 of the 39 shots. 4. 1. Very. Every night it seems like we have 3 different stars of the game. It’s been excited. 2. Oh it doesn’t matter to me as long as we keep winning. Gun to my head, Big Bad Ray Shields. 3. I don’t think we should change things at the moment. We’re winning. 4. I think things are just beginning for the Rush. I definitely can see this team as a top 3 by seasons end. 5. Dog by far. I have a Golden Retriever and Yellow Lab myself. I’d be a Lab. 6. In real life, working from home, lots of TV, working out and all kinds of simulation games

Nick Fomba was again solid in the pipes stopping 34 of the 36 shots he faced while Wood McPine (Min) faced 47 shots by the Rush. (This was submitted last week but denied because I wasn't aware you can only submit one article a week)
  8. 1. Awesome first weeks. Team looks like we've been playing together for years. 2. Not at all. Ray's not just good at making sig's, he can put the puck in the net occasionally too. 3. Well I'm disappointed with my +/- rating. I think I need to get stronger. 4. Could be a lot on guys minds with the virus and all. I think it'll pick up. 5. Houston. They have their issues if they don't work on, they'll find themselves in a hole. 6. They both do tremendous sigs. I love the back round effects such as the lightening bolts.

Its very early in the season but the Yukon area is excited what was put together by @krice13 and @MexicanCow123 .
  10. Yukon Rush got the season started with an impressive win against the defending VHLM Champions Minnesota Storm with a 5-1 victory in front of an empty arena, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Yukon got off to the fast start when Trey Nets took a pretty pass from Ray Sheilds and beat the glove hand of Storm Goalie Woody McPine to give the Rush the lead just over 2 minutes into the game. In the 2nd period the offense opened up with a goal by Gino DiGiannatonio, set up by fellow Italian American Vin Calia and Jack John. The Storm answered right back a minute later when Valtteri Vaakanainen netted his third of the season to cut the lead to 2-1. It didn't stop there when a minute later Vin Calia scored his 1st of the S71 campaign coming from beautiful passing by Nicholas Konig and Bo Burrows. Rush poured it on 60 seconds later with a Power Play goal by Calia, his 2nd goal of the game when he took a behind the back pass from Mickey Dickson who was fed by Burrows at the blue line. Ray Sheilds added another with his 1st , assisted by Nets and Joe Jacks. Yukon went in defense mode after that and the goaltending of Nicholas Fomba who stopped 24 of 25 shots between the pipes. Vin Calia, who was named 1st star of the game said, "It was the start we wanted to get off and yes its one game, but it builds confidence. This is a great group of guys we have here. We already feel like a family and that's important with the grind of a long hockey season" Lets hope this is the start of something good here in Yukon. Only time will tell.
  11. I’m here with Assistant GM of the Yukon Rush, Kris Rice. Thanks for a few moments Kris. Kris : No problem, thank you so much for taking the time to interview me. 1. As the season nears, how do you feel about the team you guys put together? I feel really good about what we have put together here. @mexicancow123 Did a lot of work in the last few months to put us in a place to succeed. There was a lot of movement in and out of Yukon last season but it was all for the better as we were able to stock up on valuable draft picks and bring back a lot of fan favourites to the team. The draft went extremely well as we were able to hit most of our targeted players. We wanted to build a team that was more so built for the enjoyment of the players rather than making it just about winning a championship. We wanted to bring back players who really wanted to be here because of how much they enjoyed it here in the short time they were with us last season. To me that feels really good and that is almost as good a feeling as winning a championship. 2. How confident are you feeling about this being a playoff team? I have zero doubt that this team is going to make the playoffs. We squeaked in last season with a rather poor roster and the team we have put together this season has a real chance to compete for a title. There are some juggernauts standing in our way such as Minnesota who is looking to repeat, Las Vegas who had an incredible draft and there are of course a few other teams who will be right in the mix as well. I have no doubt though that our team will be up for the task when the time comes. 3. Strengths , Weaknesses? There are quite a few strengths to our team this season. Our center depth with the likes of Ray Shields, Vin Calia and Trey Nets is one of the deepest in the league. Our defense is stacked with the number 2 overall pick Zyrok12, Bo Burrows and recently acquired free agent Alex Armstrong the Rush’s D-core is going to tear it up this season. This is the deepest team Yukon has had in quite a few seasons and if everyone continues to progress and train hard throughout the season this team could really make a push to go all the way. The only weakness that this team has right now is cohesiveness. There are a lot of strong personalities on the roster this season and when you have many of those personalities in the same room they tend to clash. I think as the season rolls on and they start creating chemistry then this issue will resolve itself. 4. What are you telling the guys in regards to the Corona Virus? Do not panic. This Pandemic is not something to take lightly but there is no reason to panic as of yet. The VHLM season will continue as planned but precautions will be taken if required. For right now, limiting your time in public, washing your hands and just being aware of the day to day changes is all anyone can really do at this point 5. Has this Pandemic disrupted the teams preparation for the season? Unlike the NHL the VHL/M will continue as planned. Everyone is almost putting in more time now preparing their players as they have been stuck home more so than they normally would be. It's a blessing and a curse but hopefully in the near future this will all be behind us and we can get on with our normal lives. Thanks again Kris and Good Luck to you and the Rush in the upcoming season. Thank you Vin, I am excited for the season ahead and you are a big part of that. 664 words

  18. Draft Day with Prospect Vin Calia On draft day, I was an early bird waking at around 6:30 and went for a quick run. I spent the weekend at my childhood home with my parents and my mom made me a big breakfast like she used too. After breakfast and a hot shower, I spent most of the morning talking to my dad whom I've always looked up too, and has a lot to do with my success. At noon, my brother and his family came over to spend the day with us. We would have had a hug draft party but with everything going on in the world with this virus, it was best to keep it small. I was on the phone off and on with my agent all afternoon discussing what rumors and information he was hearing. At draft time the rumor we were hearing was third round, late 2nd. When my phone rang and it was GM Mattias of the HC Davos Dynamo, letting me know they were selecting me with the 16th overall pick, there was a mix of nerves and excitement. After talking extensively with Gustav and meeting a few of the Dynamo players, I knew this was the perfect place to start my career. I look forward to taking the ice for Davos, when ever my time comes. When that time does comes, they will be getting 110% effort every night.
  19. 1.Go with best available at the time of your picks. 2.Zyrok! 3.Absolutely. I love the Rush management. They gave me my first opportunity for pro hockey. 4.Love the idea of having fun, but my competive nature kicks in and I want to win. 5.Make my VHL player better. 6.I'm with you. Some people sicken me when they take advantage of people in need.
