Agreed with @CowboyinAmerica, I think it'll be nice history to be the first with 9 seasons worth of games. Curious to see how you'll handle the final season of depreciation, as you can't fight it at all - so a full 7% hit. Hope London pays you some FAT money when they're rebuilding!

Standard weekly vhl.com piece for affiliate claims this week. Bunch of small stuff has happened, nothing super major though which is nice. - Ran the first set of finance contract adjustments which was nice, a good practice run before tonight's/tomorrow's depreciation run that will require all of the S75-S77 players to get their contracts adjusted. Not that difficult overall, and the portal does make auditing all of the contracts for minimums quite easy. - Draft was tonight, Moscow's first pick was the second to last pick in the 2nd round, so thought I'd be chilling. Turns out I am partly responsible to formally approve VHL trades on the portal, which impacted the draft, so there was a little bit of excitement there. Approved a few trades, felt all high and mighty for like 3 seconds. Was pleasantly surprised with who we were able to select, and I'll talk about it more on tomorrow's episode of the Spartcast! - My first ever draft picks for Moscow, Duncan Idaho and Paul Atreides, are set to depreciate this season which is pretty crazy to think about. I really don't feel like I've GM'd Moscow for that long, that my first members of our core are beginning the end of their careers. Kinda cool to experience the entire career of a player you drafted, since I never had that in the VHLM as players depart within a season or two. Also sad to see that the people that I've worked with for such a long time are starting to regress, indicating the end is beckoning. Hope we can make the final seasons count!

1. I think that we just didn't play to standards, offensively at least. Papa had a great playoff run and our defense was keeping opponents locked down. We just weren't getting pucks in the net when it mattered. 2. I'm working a bit on strength to avoid getting pushed around on the ice, and hopefully a bit more on skating among the same thoughts. 3. There are quite a few good ones, but I'd have to shoutout my younger brothers Cole and Calix. Both of them would be great additions to the team, although we have Papa in goal and locked up for a bit longer. 4. I could see Moreau and Markinson both being in the mix for some defensemen awards as they both had top 5 defenseman seasons. Maybe Idaho as well for being a fantastic power forward as he usually is. 5. Honestly from a roster and scheme standpoint, I think we were on the right track. It really just comes down to execution from the players and hopefully getting some more favorable bounces. Regardless, we need to put in all our efforts if we want to try to get to the finals again. 6. Without the VHLE, there would be cap issues and/or roster issues in the VHL with players under 500 TPE struggling to get signed in FA. We're generally all of the opinion that actives should have homes, right? But active players weren't getting signed in FA because contenders had no cap room, and rebuilders were already running 9-4-2's and whatnot. The VHLE was a useful addition to not only give those lower TPE actives a home, but also made the VHLM more of a developmental league and allows for the VHLE to be a competitive lower league for people who aren't uber-active, but are still members of our community. Expansion was a thought, but you need to have sustainable growth (of your user base) in order to expand. A bunch of extra 250-450 TPE players doesn't merit expansion. If we expanded VHL teams back in S80, we'd likely have to drop the league cap to prevent teams from being as lopsided as they were in the VHLM last season. Hell, we already had teams running inactives in the VHL just to meet the minimum roster count this season. It's a fine line to balance how players will move between the E and VHL, and it's still getting worked on to make it as smooth as possible. Two things here. One, there was a very specific reason why your "meme" was denied, and I'm sure you're aware of it. Feel free to go back to the denial message to jog your memory. Second of all, there's a big difference between slapping some text on a meme using a meme generator, and adding a logo/player name/VHL relevant information to a graphic for VHL.com graphics. Yes, .com's are "low effort" but meme generators are basically a tier below low effort. They're amusing, they're fun, can't deny that. Include them in your Media Spot or as a header for your VHL.com articles, just make sure you're following guidelines and making sure they're appropriate. Nice article 7/10. Yeah I was also a little surprised that the change was made without a members ping, but I would hope GM's send it to their LR's and inform their players. From an updater standpoint, we provided flexibility this first week for folks slightly under word count as they may not have known about the change. We understand that it was a quiet change, so we're trying to not outright deny anyone under the word count unless it's egregiously low. Hopefully we can all adjust to the new guidelines soon!

It's an overall look at potential process improvements to the waiver system, I don't think we're locked into any direction yet. I believe we're consulting with M GM's for their feedback and thoughts as well, as the waiver system should be a tool to assist them in their job duties, rather than a source of stress as it seems to be now.
