  1. Ah, more material to feed the fire. Love being slept on ? Only place I consider home is the area in front of the blue paint where I can cross-check the shit out of anyone who's foolish enough to try to get near our tendy. Watch out VHL.
  2. Don't trust me after the last game huh? Lol, you know I don't reveal until necessary, considering very few people have revealed at this point. But also, ditto on what someone said earlier, I was driving 12 hours yesterday to my college, currently in the process of packing and moving my stuff out, and I'll be driving another 12 hours tomorrow. Will try to keep an eye on the thread and my mentions, just don't want to get mod killed lol.
  3. Personally, I know that one of my main tasks as NYA AGM is to get the PC up, and I make sure I get it done early in the week. Apart from that, it's whatever Esso would like me to help him out with, and most of those times, he's usually giving me some guidance or advice on how to do stuff. It's also nice to pick the brain of a GM as I hope to have that position in the future, so I definitely understand the point that an AGM position is an internship/mentorship. That being said, I honestly don't really care about the pay. I'm doing it out of my interest and to further my knowledge of what it entails to be a GM. If my efforts can help Esso run the team or give him someone outside the team to bounce ideas off of, I'm glad that I can make that contribution. What's disheartening to me is that AGM's aren't really valued for their own contributions and interest. It's turned more into "AGM's only want the pay" or "we don't even really need AGM's" rather than "these are people invested and interested in managing a team, and we should promote this transitional position." Obviously I can't speak for every AGM's intent in applying for the position, but between myself and a few AGM's I know, we're invested in engaging activity in our LR's and trying to help out our GM where we can. To see people not appreciating that mentality and effort is my main problem in this debate tbh.
  4. fun. some people like having it ?
  5. Stuff like what @Patrik Tallinder did is what I really looked forward to as a prospect. He really highlighted TPE earning, risers, fallers, builds, and milestones/accomplishments in the league to give a more defined look into prospects. If that could be a full-time job for someone or a group of people in the Scouting Rankings, that'd be the best in my opinion.
  6. TMZ has an exclusive image of Las Vegas Aces Alex Letang, GM Proto (@Proto), ex-AGM Viper (@Viperxhawks19) and newly hired AGM Muffin (@.sniffuM) passed outside the MGM Grand in Las Vegas! It appears that Letang and Proto were celebrating the end of a long and grueling season together, where the Aces managed to make the playoffs and make quite a statement. The young club managed to defeat the Philadelphia Reapers in the first round, but were bounced out by the dangerous Yukon Rush. The duo were joined by new LVA AGM Muffin, seemingly to welcome him to the organization. However, TMZ spotted Viper crashing the party as he so often does. TMZ also acquired audio of Proto yelling "BANNED! BANNED! BANNED!" when he first saw Viper, and it could be possible that @GustavMattias, @Enorama, and @fonziGG were also accompanying Proto and Letang, as they were spotted being thrown outside the casino. However, all three promptly stood up, dusted themselves off, and walked back inside while yelling "I'm back bitches!!!!!" Hopefully this incident doesn't scare GM's away from drafting Letang at the upcoming VHL Draft, as Letang has a reputation now of being quite the party animal. When TMZ caught Letang after he awakened from his drunken stupor, he mumbled "It's all Proto's fault." While this behavior is concerning, it is also the sign that the young Letang knows how to have a good time. TMZ will be watching faithfully for future Letang incidents! Word Count: 243
  7. Alright folks, we're Week 2 into the offseason, and it already feels like forever. Here are some questions, and the theme is food! 1. Who on the team would you want to host a summer barbecue and why? 2. Who on the team would you keep as far away from the grill as possible? 3. What would you toss on the grill as your own contribution? 4. At this summer barbecue, what's your go-to drink? 5. What's one food item you absolutely hate seeing on the grill and why? 6. If you had a hot dog eating contest at this barbecue, who would win? Now that I've talked about food for a while, I'm hungry. While you're answering these, I'm going to go grab a snack!
  8. Really loved reading your work over the past few weeks! Best of luck on your articles in the future, can't wait to see what kind of pieces you'll present!
  9. Doing a little review work here, but my first glance at your sig saw some really good stuff. Overall concept and execution is really well done, love the tint and stormy clouds over the player. Might have needed to get a little better image for the background since there appears to be a decent amount of visual pixelation, but you worked with what you had and made it really good! The "Calgary Wranglers" text may not need to be as opaque as it is, but that may just be a personal preference. Overall, I think you could have added a few more overlays to make this pop overall, and perhaps found a slightly better background, but I really like it! I'd give this a solid 8/10.
  10. Doing a little review here, but spoiler alert, you're getting a 10/10! Absolutely love the sleekness of the graphic, as well as the overall layout. Lighting on both goalies is super nice, and is perfect in my opinion. Logo swaps/overlays were also really well done, and it was probably pretty tough to work with mask on the left. Cutouts are really smooth and well done, background is also really good. For an amateur like me, this is probably something I could only dream of doing in the future. Keep up the awesome work man!
  11. Nice little jump there @McWolf ?
  12. Happy birthday man, appreciate what you do for the league!
  13. Heya there, on this lovely May 4th, I got some more questions for you! 1. In honor of the day, who is your favorite Star Wars character? 2. Since we've been officially eliminated from the playoffs, how are you killing the time? 3. Now that the season is over, which player on our team really needs to get a fresh set of equipment? 4. Looking ahead to the offseason, what is one thing you're actively going to avoid doing? 5. What's a song you've been listening to recently that you would recommend to others on the team? 6. If your VHL player had to get a summer job, what would it be and why?
  14. Alex Letang seemingly stumbled upon the VHL the week before the S71 VHLM Expansion Draft after he decided to play in a professional league extremely late. He had no clue that he would get scooped up in the 3rd round of the draft, 26th overall, to the esteemed Las Vegas Aces, or that he'd finish the season playing over 27 minutes a game as the Aces looked to make a deep playoff run. All he needed was a shot, and he delivered on that opportunity given to him by @Poptart, and then rose to the moments that new GM @Proto offered him as well. After an impressive season as a key member of the Aces' top 4 D-men, Letang finished off the regular season with 10 goals and 46 assists in 72 games, along with a +42 rating. Letang wasn't the most physical defender, but finished the season with 39 hits. Surprisingly, he grew into a strong two-way game in the Aces after being a predominantly offensive defenseman in the major junior leagues, posting 71 blocked shots against the 77 shots on goal he recorded. Looking ahead, Letang projects to be a low first round pick, or a high second round pick in the S72 VHL draft. At his current level of conditioning, Letang appears to be a prospect that a team can stash in the minors for another season. Letang is sure to be one of the top defensemen in the VHLM if he stays down, but is sure to be a sneakily good 2nd/3rd pair defenseman if he is called up. Anticipate a scouting report for Letang to be released in the near future! Word Count: 277
  15. Seems that this decision won't be changed, so GG all. Probably some of the most fun I've had playing ToS, especially having lasted this long with this shitty role. Well played @Berocka, well deserved win. Looking forward to the next one!
  16. Last chance @DoktorFunk to get the town a win here. Please, carefully read the above posts and realize that at this point, I have finished my goal. Berocka's actions over the past few days don't line up with what he says. Your action here will be the difference between an Exe + Pest win vs an Exe + Town win. We've had quite a few lynches go wrong over the past few days, and this will be the last and final one that seals the town's loss. It's all up to you.
