  1. This argument assumes that what Ricer is talking about is actual critically thought and relevant feedback, vs in reality its just blatant trolling that should already be covered in CoC. I agree we should never discourage legitimate feedback. But what's being brought up is just "hur dur league bad" on repeat in gen chat.
  2. So that'd be changing the fundamental earning process of the league. I don't think it'd fly since earning has always been built around half your cap comes from a PT, and the other half comes from supplemental tasks. When we introduced Game Recaps as a task, I learned a lot about what can/can't work as an additional supplemental task. When I was suggesting various themes or game write-ups before they went into game threads as an "activity booster," the feedback was always "why can't people just write these as VHL.coms in the first place?" Someone can write 2 player recaps for 75 words each in a vhl.com article, for the same amount of TPE. Player career review/statistical review are great media spot ideas! Maybe that I'm hearing is that like the money leagues, perhaps we need the league to be putting out thematic ideas for users to complete tasks around. For example, it'd be specifically themed vhl.com articles, lets say "topic of the week" as a theoretical name. Maybe this week the topic would be your player career review - users can pick a retired player to write 150 words about or make a graphic about them for the 2 TPE. Next week it could be statistics. Week after could be league leaders. Or it can be much more creative like the SHL and their season-long story line about being abducted by aliens or some shit like that. Maybe then we'd hire someone to be posting these weekly "topic of the week" threads for folks to reply in, and then they can also do their normal, independent vhl.com article. Sound interesting at all? I actually think this could be an uncapped(?) season-end task run by the commissioners. Have thought about it before and might try to get it implemented myself after discussing with RGB crew.
  3. If you have specific task ideas, I'd recommend writing them in a vhl.com or media spot and tagging me. I can forward it into BoG for further discussion and give you my thoughts as well if you'd like.
  4. The portal still needs to be updated to show the correct depreciation numbers. TPA tool is outdated with old numbers, and the player store descriptions are also outdated and wrong, causing this sort of confusion. % fighters drop you down a full depreciation tier, it's not a 5->4% drop like it was before. That'd probably be my contribution to this thread for now, that we get depreciation numbers fixed on the portal since it's been wrong for a long time.
  5. Glad to have you
  6. @N0HBDY get replaced
  7. Bro knew somehow....
  8. Only VHL drafted players will get to claim training camp. S93 players are not eligible this season.
  9. You know the drill!
  10. We are officially the day before the draft, and I've never been so....unprepared. Between my birthday, christmas, new year's, and jumping around from my apartment to my parents' every week, it feels like my time spent on the VHL has been immensely low. I haven't spoken to the majority of the prospects in the draft this season, so I guess it's last minute scouting yet again. I had an idea for what I wanted this draft, but there's been some discussions and I'm not sure if we're sticking to our plans. That's the fun of the offseason and the draft though! Olober is going to get a massive TPE dump this week through all the various offseason things. Predictions, training camp, doubles week, uncapped package, holiday 20 uncapped - it's all going to be a massive boost for the Moscow rookie tender. I honestly have no expectations for Syko this season, or even Moscow. With Thor Reingaard traded away, I'm not as intent on making playoffs this season as I was before. Going full scorched earth rebuild and not aggressively trading for veteran players means that the rebuild process is nice and slow. The Reingaard trade definitely extends the process a bit longer. At what point do the players get antsy? At what point do I start getting antsy and want to make some dumb trades to start competing? All interesting things to think about. VHLM draft is Jan 7th, day before index is created. What fantastic timing by our lovely commissioners. Bunch of bozos. Happy New Year, hope your resolutions lasts for more then a week.
  11. Can't claim 2 doubles weeks in the same week. Also can't use doubles weeks with free weeks. Only exception is if you have a job that pays two full free weeks, since that is considered part of pay, doubles weeks can be used on it. But that doesn't apply to your situation.
  12. This is the worst bait ever
  13. Fixed OP, adding here too if you want Transaction ID: 30A0179228876374X
  14. Yea we knew you got scared you'd be the worst of the 3 rooks lol
  15. Probably something for @Josh to look at in the future to adjust either rulebook or portal, but it has been the precedent for prior seasons. One I could find easily from last season's day 1 with Warsaw getting the claim in 8 hours.
  16. What about 2oa?
  17. Just want to say that it's insane how quickly you've gone from just a clicking, semi-active player to someone now basically pension max earning and getting more comfortable chatting in the LR and around the league. Super glad we've got you on our team! And looking forward to hearing about the trade analysis
  18. I'll start with your last sentence and go backwards - we are affiliated with the PBE for a vhl.com replacement with their PT. The EFL is actually a really good example of what happens when a league is predominantly made up of affiliate users. There's no core userbase and therefore limited members willing to step up and fill roles when needed. We're just starting to feel a bit of that impact here in the VHL with limited job applicants who don't already have multiple roles already. If someone can cap out easily by claiming half their tasks from the SBA, why would they ever get involved as a GM here? Why would most of the league ever really interact in LRs if its not their main league. That's why affiliate users are nice to fill up leagues, but I find that relying on them to make up the majority of the league just causes operational problems.
  19. If it was denied, you need to resubmit the claim. I don't see it in the queue.

    Farewell @N0HBDY. Welcome ????
  21. If you claimed your purchases, you would have your experience. Hope this helps!
  22. whoa
  23. Would definitely record with you sometime if you don't totally love the solo podcasting aspect, but I agree that it's much easier than having to churn out media spots. Enjoyed the general analysis of the team and our future, and as we've discussed, will be doing my best to make sure you have a roster spot with us for the future. I much prefer to reward folks putting in the effort to improve and be part of our team. Lets get you to 50 points this season!
