diacope 2 reacted to rory in reviewing members that VHL is older then
Because the VHL is turning 15 this fine year of our lord two thousand and twenty two I found it fitting to review the top members that have entered this mortal world after the Victory Hockey League.

    4. @Dil. Dil is a young member of the league and has been on a mission to tear it into the ground. However, his anti-fascist rhetoric has been a great benefit in the moderation world. If the young Dil had not become a mod, I don't think they'd be doing a lot in the league at this time, as true VHL boomers will remember when I was named his replacement as Halifax GM because he was THAT BAD (nothing else). Dil's most notable league additions have been his dedication to standing against the many VHL leaders that are literal neo-nazis. Thanks Dil! I rate Dil 15/15 years.

    3. @MinionSpeaking of Halifax GMs! This member was my successor in the lovely land of Halifax General Managering if you disregard the current GM (I do). The most notable move they made was literally trading a first for a second and seventh. An amazing trade that has stood up amongst the pillars of this community, such as Shawn Glade's self trade and trade down for 2 worse picks, or rory's Jeffrey Pines to Vancouver for a second. The greatest parts of Minion have always been his VHL discord contributions and I must assume he has continued them since I have left the nazi recruitment center of VHL general. I rate minion 13/15.

    2. @MexicanCow123. MarxistCow123 is a true VHL legend for his dedication that he has shown to the league that is literally older then him. For his work being a stellar Yukon Rush GM (only VHL boomers remember the YUKON RUSH!), the most active and accurate updater, and his most recent work as general manager of the New York Americans. He also has a hall of famer coming in Jerome Reinhart! MarxistCow's always stood to their guns and kept the cap equal amongst all teams (the 1 team he traded with 3-4 times a season), and for that I rate him a solid 13/15 years.

    1. @Josh. This young man has been such an amazing contributor to VHL! For their work as a developer, creating the VHL portal at the rife age of 10, Josh deserves all of the accolades. Adding on his amazing work as my first ever majors General Manager (shit, he made me do all the work after like 3 seasons), and Commissioner (also shit), this member is such an easy top 4 members that the VHL is older then. One thing I'd like to see more from Josh is more playing rocket league with me and not abandoning the raft game from like last year with muff. Josh is the sole reason we have not played and I refuse to believe otherwise. All of this being said, I think Josh is a solid 11/15 years and I'm going to come to Winnipeg and make him play ghost hunter with me so I can sit in the van all day.

In this season's theme week, I largely talk about how things were in the good ol' days, and make incorrect recollections about Carl Jacobs and who knows what else. I'll tag @Victor to correct my historical inaccuracies. Also Victor, while you're here, name some of @Lenny's players, it's been bugging me.

    @STZ

Hi everyone and welcome to the post where we will reveal the first set of players to be named to the VHL all-star rosters for the games next weekend! The first round of voting was voted on by members of VSN, and was for 1 player from each team. There will be an additional vote (link at bottom of post) open to everyone to fill out the rosters, to be eligible for this vote a player had to receive at least 1 vote in the VSN vote. In addition, The Dan Dan Rule is still in effect in which the players that lead the league in goals, points, and points by a defensemen will be automatically put on their conferences team.

    Team North America
    GM: @Ricer13

    Calgary Wranglers
    Saku Kotkakoivu @DollarAndADream

Following a spectacular Season 83, Kotkakoivu has not missed a beat this season and currently leads Calgary in Points and Hits with 53 and 169 respectively, last season Kotkakoivu took home the Szatkowski, Campbell, and Funk Trophies, we'll see if he can duplicate that success for a second time.

    Chicago Phoenix
    Baby Bob @Baby Boomer

Since joining Chicago in an offseason trade, Bob has not disappointed and currently has 30 goals (4th in league), and 61 points (8th in league). Bob has proven to be a key part of Chicago's success this season and only time will tell how far this young team can go.

    D.C. Dragons
    Tui Sova @v.2

Now in their 2nd season with D.C., Sova has almost surpassed their previous seasons point total with 67 points in 45 games. Sova is currently 5 points back of the lead for defensemen scoring.

    Los Angeles Stars
    Art Vandelay @Gustav

Vandelay has burst onto the scene this season in a big way for the Stars, posting a 0.925 SV% and a 2.77 GAA so far in their rookie season.

    New York Americans
    Sven Eightnine @BarzalGoat

Another recent acquisition, Eightnine has proven to be a defensive weapon for New York. Although, not the most dominant offensive season for Eightnine, he could be in the running for the Jake Wilde Trophy with 174 hits and 118 shots blocked.

    Seattle Bears
    Sirdsvaldis Miglaskems @FrostBeard

The likely Dustin Funk Trophy winner, Miglaskems already has 5 more points than their previous season and is on pace to set a new career high by a considerable margin. Miglaskems is set to be the face of the franchise for Seattle and is showing that on and off of the ice.

    Toronto Legion
    Paul Atreides @Mr_Hatter

In the final season of their career, Atreides's play has not slipped one bit as they currently lead Toronto in both goals and points with 25 and 55 respectively.

    Vancouver Wolves
    Brandt Fuhr @Tate

The future of Vancouver is bright with Fuhr, the sophomore goaltender has had a solid season thus far with a 0.925 SV% and a 3.31 GAA.

    European Conference
    GM: @dlamb

    HC Davos Dynamo
    Vinny Detroit @dasboot

Detroit has been a bright spot on the Davos roster this season and is a big reason why they are battling it out for 3rd in the conference after finishing 8th last season. Currently Detroit has 21 goals, and 33 assists for 54 points. Additionally, Detroit has been laying the body on all season and already has 202 hits.

    Helsinki Titans
    Nico Pearce @Spartan

Pearce has had a breakthough season, and currently is tied for the lead in goals and leads the league in points. Pearce is a big reason for Helsinki's success this season and one of the reasons why we can expect Helsinki to potentially make a deep playoff run.

    London United
    Cole Pearce @N0HBDY

Cole Pearce has had a solid season so far for London and is the main reason why they were in playoff contention for as long as they were. Currently Pearce has a 0.921 SV% and a 2.77 GAA in 43 starts.

    Malmo Nighthawks
    Druss Deathwalker @animal74

With Deathwalker's pending retirement an era in Malmo will officially come to an end, currently Deathwalker is still tearing it up as they lead Malmo in goals, points, and is set to potentially break the all-time hits record with just 149 more, this could be the most exciting race to watch as the season comes to an end in Malmo.

    Moscow Menace
    Papa Emeritus @Beketov

Papa Emeritus had a hot start of the season and hasn't looked back, currently we can expect Emeritus to walk away with all goalie related awards as well as potentially a hat in the ring for MVP as they have a 0.940 SV% and 1.96 GAA, good enough for the league lead in both stats.

    Hard Markinson @STZ
The league leader in points by a defensemen, Markinson is the only Dan Dan Rule player to not also win the vote for their team. Markinson currently leads all defensemen in points with 72, of those points 24 have been goals which is truly impressive for a defensemen.

    Prague Phantoms
    Perry Laperriere @KaleebtheMighty

Laperriere has been a bright spot for Prague this season and leads the team in assists (27) and points (44). Prague does have a promising future and Laperriere will be a big part of it.

    Riga Reign
    Alex Johnston @Alex

Tied for the league lead in goals with 33, Johnston has had another spectacular season and is on pace for his 4th consecutive 100+ point season. Their finishing has been one of the factors why Riga is as solid of an offensive team as they are and we should expect the scoring race to be tight as the season draws to an end.

    Warsaw Predators
    Vasile Lamb @dlamb

Another offseason aquisition to really find their stride with their new team, Lamb has been an unstoppable force for Warsaw and currently has 24 goals, and 30 assists for a total of 54 points in 43 games. Lamb also has recorded an impressive 180 hits so far this season.

Hello friends, there has been some talk of starting up the VHL minecraft server again, so here is a series of polls to figure out how to proceed!

Whatever the poll results are, the game will run on Minecraft Java Edition on version 1.19

If you have any other suggestions for the server, please reply below

EDIT: Server has been setup. IP: 167.114.194.156:25604
Since the last poll was close, I went through a few randomly generated ones and picked the best starting spot and moved the spawn to a good place as a compromise between both!

Fair warning: this is another installment of "Gustav complains about moderation". Feel free to disregard as you choose. As always--mods, I like you as people and this isn't intended to be a shot at any of you personally.

I've actually been fairly OK with the state of moderation since my survey article went up, and I think it's great that the voice of the league was able to change things. Posts in the ban thread no longer just say "Code of Conduct", and I've thought that mod-not mod interactions on mod-related issues have a level of respect that they were previously lacking. I've had a mod or two reach out to me about one thing or another, and we've always been able to have civil conversations. So, I sincerely commend the team for improving in almost every regard over the past few seasons.

With that said, there's one thing I'm not a fan of, and I've seen it happen enough that it bugs me enough to write an article I don't even need because I've maxed out this week. For a while--and this is nothing new--there's been a heightened focus on keeping certain channels in the league Discord server on topic. We talk about health stuff and brag about our latest workouts in the health channel, we talk about graphics in the graphics channel, and we talk about games in the gaming channel. Frequently, we'll see a mod request to move a talk out of or into one of these specific places, because it's either unrelated to the channel or directly related to another. This is something I disagree with most of the time, because (as you should all know) I'm very much of the "if it's not hurting anyone or getting in anyone's way, I see no reason why any action should be taken" group, but I honestly don't really care beyond just rolling my eyes and switching over to the requested channel. As much as most of the convos in question don't hurt anybody, the mod policy really doesn't either. I'm content to just be quietly annoyed with it.

    Except in one specific situation.

When a new member joins the league server, and makes a post (almost always in #general) looking for help, the ONLY correct response is to HELP THAT NEW MEMBER!

...not to tell said new member to take it to the help channel and to then proceed to not offer help in the help channel.

I can understand having the help talk move over there if genchat is popping off and everyone's messages are getting buried in everyone else's--that's one thing. But when genchat is relatively uncluttered--and even when the only thing going on there is the new member getting the help they need from someone else--that's another. The member in question deserves some level of understanding that they've posted in the first channel they saw, they are hurting absolutely no one by asking a question, and giving that person a helpful answer--which is supposedly one of the league's top priorities--is far, far more important than talking about kranch. What kind of welcoming atmosphere do we say we pride ourselves on if someone joins the server, asks how to build, and the first response is, in effect, "we don't want that in here, take it somewhere else"? That, especially when I've seen questions go unanswered for a few minutes after they've been directed to the help channel--which is sometimes enough for someone to lose faith and disappear. When an innocent question is asked in a (supposedly) fairly supportive environment, there will be an answer--let it be. Please.

I'd like to conclude this article with a suggestion so it isn't just me complaining. Currently, people joining the server are thrown directly into #general. Why not have the default channel for server entrances be the help channel? Someone coming into the server for the first time with a question will already be in the place to ask it. Now, this won't eliminate all instances of new members asking questions in #general--so, mind you, my point still stands; play it where it lies and let the question be asked and answered--but it will probably at least lead to more questions, at least first-time questions, going into the channel created for said questions.

Turns out I do need this article after all--I can claim my donation doubles week from it!

As always, if you sincerely consider my point of view, then I sincerely thank you. See you next week!

And that is your opinion. Apparently 20-30% of the American public (depending on sources) share the opinion you do obviously not like.

And who gets to decide what is right and wrong? A higher being, if yes which one? The majority, if yes regular or qualified? A group of select people, if yes by which criteria are they selected? A holy book, if yes which one?

You mean statements like the below, issued by a mod?

The above to me seems to be a crass violation of the COC:

Do we need to change the COC to the following?

The VHL aims to curate a welcoming, inclusive community intended to provide enjoyment for all its members, regardless of ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or disability, provided they share the same opinions as the moderators.

Or maybe we could add in the title of threads which have an inherent risk of controversial dispute a tag 'contrary opinion not welcome' or something to that extent.

I do not share Jack Johnson's opinions on the matter at all, but I understand that not everyone has the same view point and that from another person's perspective, my opinion might very well be the 'wrong one'.

Everything you said, except for the compromising part, is not mutually exclusive. Look at King, Mandela, and Ghandi. 2 wanted the end of legal segregation/apartheid and 1 wanted his country to be independent. They did plenty of nonviolent protests to gain public support and what got them that support was their peace in the face of government retaliation, and India became independent, segregation was no longer legal, and apartheid was abolished.

However, it was a much different time then, and now there is massive political division that won't be solved overnight. So all that to say, I'm not preaching inaction, which I guess is the centrist thing to do, rather peaceful action.

And I don't blame you at all for feeling that way. Even the people I mentioned felt that way too. But they channeled their and others' feelings and emotions into tirelessly (but peacefully) protesting for change, and I reckon we all stand a better chance if we follow suit.

I feel like when the theme of “VHL Appreciation,” was announced, quite a few people rolled their eyes. “Of course we appreciate the VHL,” they likely said to themselves, “why else would we be here?” Indeed, why else would they click buttons, work magic in Photoshop, write a masterpiece that would make Homer jealous, or put Joe Rogan to shame with a podcast? Of course they like what they do, appreciate the community, and we enjoy (maybe) seeing our player do well in the sims. But it goes deeper than that, I feel. It’s not a collective whole that brings us back time after time, player after player. There are members behind it all who stand out, and do so differently to different people as well. Sometimes, you need to find your people to really maximize your enjoyment, feel your worth, and discover your sense of belonging.

    These are my people.

The Toronto Legion… all of them. Whether its newcomers like @Mr_Hatter and @Frank, who came and immediately set the VHL on fire, to veterans like @MattyFired, @Viper, and @DreMin15, who have proudly represented the team. @WildfireMicro, who is one of the most faithful teammates I’ve ever had, @Vice, who finds his own way to contribute, @Hybrid1486, our rookie blueliner and forum frequenter, and @KnightRiley, the piece of Emi that will always remain. Lastly, there’s @Peace, who brought me here, and is responsible for pretty much this whole team and situation today. I’ve done everything I can to help make this team a place someone would be excited to be a part of, and it isn’t possible without having a roster of players that makes the job feel worthwhile. I hope I have succeeded in that regard for all of you.

@Spartan… you’ve assembled an incredible community in Moscow, and being a part of it is such a treat. It’s one of the funniest, most engaging, and overall rewarding places I’ve ever been in a sim league, and if I can manage to replicate half of this with Toronto, I will be ecstatic.

@Beketov… if there is ANY one member that could be the VHL as a whole, it is you. Been here from Day One, done it all… and continue to do so. There is so much that simply wouldn’t be possible without your calm, steady guidance. When the day comes that you move on, a large part of this league will go on with you.

@Victor, your captain still holds you in high regard, and will always cherish the glory years of the HC Davos Dynamo. Through mutual belief, respect, and trust, great things are always achievable. Onwards, Davos!

@STZ, my first VHLM GM, and that awesome Season 33 Bratislava Watchmen team really got me cemented in this league, for better or for worse. You never forget your first, they say. I haven’t, and I always have done what I can to be as welcoming and helpful to others as you were to me.

@samx, my emotional support human/alarm clock. We talked from time to time, despite you being afraid of me, then we eventually realized how similar our brains were. How much we could relate to our brains messing with us. You’re a real one, a friend on a much more personal level than I’d ever expect to find in a league of fictional hockey players. Thanks for putting up with all my nonsense!

@a_Ferk, to date, the ONLY AGM I’ve ever had. The yin to the yang, the night to my day… I can’t explain why it worked so well, but it did. Together, we may not have won cups (at least as a management team, S72 is forever), but we did produce many quality members and players to the VHL, which to me, is the ultimate sign of a job well done in the VHLM. I really hope you get a chance to shine again there.

@Arce, you went from the VHL legend I got to write about every so often to becoming a real person, and one that is a blast to interact with almost daily. I’m so glad I got that chance to get to meet the man behind the myth, and I cannot wait for that Tri-State VHL BBQ!

@MubbleFubbles, Tagger, whatever you want it to be… you’ve been a constant source of joy, hilarity, and entertainment throughout my time here, and you’re a legend just for goalie sacks alone, yet you do so much more than that.

@OrbitingDeath , the guy who makes Hall of Fame players as a hobby, yet is still one of the most down to earth, approachable people in the community, always willing to share a laugh and wisdoms. Intelligent, cultured, and humorous, you’re a gift to this league, and I’m blessed that you consider me good company.

@Vkobe-v, you went from the realest goaltender I had in Saskatoon to the realest dude in Moscow. A genuinely quality human being that I can’t wait to brag to people that I know him when he’s crushing faces in his many sportsball quests.

@Shindigs, you crushed my heart when you asked to be traded from Toronto, but you’re too damn cool to not keep being friends with. You’re even a time-traveler that I can consult with to see what life is like several hours in the future. How cool is that?

@JardyB10, someone that it's hard to believe is a real person behind all the crazy stories, but is the absolute realest dude. The Boomer Cast was a memorable experience and I would love to join up for another one!

@Dil, the leader of Vasteras and someone whose contributions to this league go way too under the radar for my liking. You do great things for this league, but all that really needs to be said here is VASTERAS VASTERAS VASTERAS VASTERAS VASTERAS VASTERAS VASTERAS VASTERAS VASTERAS VASTERAS VASTERAS

@diamond_ace , who has put up with me as a general manager for nine seasons, longer than anyone else! You always valued my contributions, fostered a great team atmosphere, and were a blast to work with!

@Garsh, who is a constant source of hilarity and a F1 fan to boot! The perfect blend of sarcasm and wit, just a naturally funny guy that is a proud pension practitioner on top of it all. Every time you show up, it's memorable.

@Josh is another guy that contributes in so many ways that just doesn't get seen or acknowledged on the surface. Thanks for everything you do that allows everyone to enjoy the VHL!

@Zack, you're always a riot to talk with, and I hope one day we'll share a team so our encounters can be more than just randomly being in Gen Chat at the same time.

@MexicanCow123, I would write this portion of the article for free, like how you perform as an updater. We always had each other's backs in the M, and now we're both up in the VHL somehow. New York is waiting on a winner, though. Can't keep them waiting forever!

@frescoelmo, you've had to deal with my shenanigans since the MSFL, yet you persist. You deal with the league's riff-raff on a daily basis, and while the yam threat hasn't manifested in ages, you remain ever-vigilant. Moddin' ain't easy.

@Squidward, whether you're pulling a legendary prank, causing chaos in Town of Salem, or trashing the Flyers, you're a character that this league needs more of.

@Moon MOONER! You showed up during my hiatus I believe, and in that time, you quickly established yourself as a go-getter capable of taking on big tasks. You're always a joy to talk to, and you always seem so happy to see me around, as if you've known me forever.

@Gustav when I first returned to the VHL, you were one of the first people that was super welcoming to me, and we've always gotten along after that. Our mutual passion for DAVID, love of meme culture, and love for the most unwanted song have made for some great memories along the way. You definitely wound up being one of the best new additions that was not around for my first tenure in the VHL.

@BOOM another member who's been around for all of my shenanigans, and who I've also been lucky to call a teammate. I've seen the glories of your locker room contributions, and you enjoyed seeing the exploits of my B-17 on War Thunder. It's hard to imagine a VHL without my favorite brother from down under.

@Renomitsu, you're doing amazing things for the world, and we are blessed to have your company. You're also the one person who recognized my avatar and knows what it is!

@McWolf , you're free from London, and hopefully free to enjoy some of the finer aspects of the league again. You gave me my start again in Saskatoon, and we got to compete against each other this season. Maybe one day we'll get to do so again!

It's impossible to mention everyone, and I am sure my brain isn't going to let me remember everyone, so I can't wait for all the, "where's my mention?!" replies. But seriously, this community rocks, and it goes beyond all the tagged members here. That's what makes it so special, and makes everything worth it all.

Hello BSN here, this time I’m not going to be Biased, well maybe a little.

@Dom I can write all this article about you, it started the 29 august 2021 it was the s79 playoff Yukon was eliminated, but you offer me the chance to join the Yukon Locker room discord. I didn’t join I didn’t even responded to any gm that offer me that day that I created shame on me. Now I did. The JST was the first thing that I join, I was a big noob then I’m still kind of is. Dom was the Comish of that and still is so thanks for that. You were my GM in Yukon after you saw in Hogan draft that I wasn’t drafted yet. You picked me up at the 43rd Overall in the VHLM s80 draft and we had a very good time in the Lr. After that season you were upgrade into the Malmo Gm and you offered me my first and only agm job. I the VHL. Like a good relationship something big happen the famous multi season.  I had 7 other accounts you help me and you did recommended me some other sim league and now we are here. I don’t think I could have fall in better hands then yours.

@Hoganand @BeavissI appreciate all the help at the start of my journey in the Yukon Lr.

@rjfryman  for all the work you put in this league and for answering all my dumb question during my time gming in the WJC.

To all Comish  and any member that have had a job in the past or now. If it was a little job or a big one. You have make this league a better place.

@hedgehog337 my gm we have our difference but having someone exactly like you is boring. You like to bpa late round pick, I like to find a rock and transform it to gold. I wish you the best and the sun. Stay you, keep hating on the sim.

El Paso!! @Arce and other you know who you are.

Hey, I could have just claimed theme week with my vhl job pay but I decided to do a media spot anyway for the only reason that I can ping multiple people and farm reputation. Now that's a good motivation to write 500 words so let's get to it!

@Lemorse7 I couldn't make an appreciation media spot and not mentioning my AGM who not only does a fantastic job but also really get along with me. I,m glad to work with you and hopefully you can finally get your very own team soon!

@Alex For always bringing action into the trade thread and also being really dedicated to the VHL and the JST.

@samx For always being fun to have around and also being a nice addition to the JST team

@diamond_ace For being the first GM to give me an AGM opportunity and letting me learn from your experience as well as being a great GM for my player in Prague too.

@Telkster For always being loyal to the team even when it came to a contract for a trade and also being flexible about your builds

@JardyB10 For always coming up with an other podcast with new ideas and new members to bully coughs, to shout out. Also for being really cooperative when it came to the trade with DC.

@scoop Also the same as Telkster and Jardy, you were a great player for Malmo and you've been loyal untill the end.

@Beketov For making commisioners disapear one by one and turning the VHL into a zoo while streaming the whole thing

@animal74 For being the best captain someone could ask for.

@Minion Also for being a great alternate captain to the team and sticking around even though you talked about trades in public often  😛

@fishy For being a great member and also making great podcasts

@Dil For being a great GM in Vasteras for Molotov.

@Josh for Always supporting everything that has Dil as the victim.

@fromtheinside For being a great rival with our new players and being a fellow S75 sasky boy.

@Doomsday We're not currently on the same team but we often did and it was a pleasure everytimes.

@a_Ferk You're the one who taught me everything as a noob when I first started and you've been a lot of help.

@Gaikoku-hito The Gobeil - Bouchard duo in Prague was one that lasted a long time and was a lot of fun, sorry that I ended that a season early. I also appreciated you as an AGM in Yukon, you always had good thinking and that was great.

    @Shindigs Team Clue!

@thadthrasher a religious man taking over the viking boat, couldn't ask for a better fit. Also a great guy.

@Gustav For always bringing long articles that make us rethink our decisions.

@Spartan For being a lot of help back when I was managing VHFL and also being a great dedicated guy.

It is THEME WEEK, and as such, my FREEDOM OF SPEECH has ONCE AGAIN BEEN ABRIDGED by something I don't care to do but have to anyway if I want a doubles week. And I'm a sucker for a good doubles week, so I will once again suck it up and get stepped on by Big Media Spot.

Also--this thread will forever be one of the greatest positive moments of mutual appreciation in this league, and this week will never beat it. There's something special about getting together to say nice things about each other without being COERCED by the BIG MAN IN CORPORATE.

    Anyway.

    ...in no particular order!

@Berocka - I know I've mentioned your name in a few of these posts, but I don't think I've been closer to anyone in a sim league than you (and that says something big). It's now been over three whole years since you joined the league, and you've been with me in some respect for most of it, whether it's as a player, an AGM, or both. I don't know how one can put up with being made fun of as much as I chose to make fun of you for a while and still enjoy the company of the bully, but I'm not complaining--sometimes I feel weird that I was as much of an asshole as I was at one point, but I think it's a great thing that you were able to see past that and find a lonely college kid who really just wanted someone to talk to. I think I've seen the real side of you (and vice versa), and you're going to be an amazing dad.

@Spartan, @Doomsday, and @thadthrasher - Probably more than anyone else, you've taken an interest in how I'm doing in life and what's going on. I know I'm not always one to reach out, but rest assured that I appreciate it when you do. Add that to the fact that you're great members of the league otherwise, and I think you should be really proud of who you are--I hope you're just as amazing in real life as you are online.

@fonziGG, @Dom, and @fromtheinside - There are others for sure, but you two came to mind right away when I tried to think of other people I can reason with behind the scenes. That doesn't (and shouldn't) mean that we always agree on every little thing, but I feel that my point of view is sincerely read and understood with you. And yes, I could probably ping most of the BoG, but I figured I'd stop at a few.

@Dil, @samx, @Zack, @a_Ferk, @Arce, @N0HBDY, @jacobcarson877, and I'm sure I'm forgetting many others - thank you for being an absolute joy to interact with on Discord. A lot of the time, I'll write off the league server as an annoying place, but you remind me that there's more to it than that.

@Renomitsu - I've seen you pop in a couple times lately, so I'm sure you'll see this at some point. You've always been one of my favorite members of any league, and along with being reasonable and interesting and really smart, you've never been anything other than nice to me (even though, given how busy your life is, I'm sure there are days when you don't feel like it).

@NSG - I know we don't really interact much outside of the forums, but the energy you bring to your posts and replies is what the world needs. I don't read as many articles as I used to, but I try to pop into yours when I see them because I know they're going to be interesting.

@Devise - Thanks for keeping Town of Whatever going lately! With school wrapping up, I didn't have a ton of motivation to do it myself over the past however-much-time, so I really appreciate you stepping in and even going so far as creating your own game. I know I haven't played it yet, but it seems like a fun time!

@Garsh, @Baozi, @frescoelmo, @JeffD, @ajwllmsn, and I'm sure some others - thank you for disagreeing with me on one thing or another at some point. The league should never be an echo chamber and I never want to be the one screaming loud enough that others feel afraid to talk. It's also really healthy to consider other viewpoints, and the fact that I'm on good terms with all of you says something about our community's ability to forgive, forget, and accept.

@Quik, @bigAL, @Radcow, @enigmatic, @Cxsquared, @Blazzer, @Brrbisbrr, and so many others who are no longer active and currently escape my mind - I MISS YOU! I hope you see this ping at some point and know that someone here thought of you and placed you in the category of "cool people". I'd love to see you back in it at some point--and even if not, please hit me up and let me know how you're doing.

To anyone else I forgot to ping who appreciates me on some level - thank you for that. Ironically, if you feel left out, that means a lot to me.

And to anyone else - thank you for being you regardless.
