SweatyBeaver got a reaction from Spence King in Vancouver Wolves Press Conference
What do you personally bring to the table as in the LR and do you see yourself as a positive energy and good LR teammate ?
-I am not the biggest talker for sure but I like t pop in every now and then make a joke or a comment then peace out

With the trade deadline looming and the Wolves sitting in the middle of the pack, where do you see the Wolves on trade deadline day, buyers ? sellers ? Keep the roster the way it is?
-I trust our gm, he built this team into a champion and I am confident he will know how to keep it as one

How do you feel playing against Emi now when we play the Titans next , has Rune  earned herself the title of now a lifelong nemesis and creating a bigger rivalry between VAN and HSK ?
-I don't know the full details around what happened so I wouldn't say nemesis. I am looking forward to playing her though because I am sure we can have fun throwing checks then getting a beer after

Who do you believe has been the most improved player so far this season ?
-I think King went from struggling rookie to a star in his sophomore season, man doesn't believe in the sophomore slump

Are you a user that ever checks in on our teams prospects and the VHLM or are you straight focused on the task at hand in Vancouver and the VHL ?
-Not really, I just go off word of mouth and am excited whenever a new face joins us

The Wolves are already the youngest roster in the VHL with only 2 players from before (S72) their draft pick cupboards are stocked as well, what do the Wolves need to do to get back to the Continental Cup final ?
-I think we need to buy into a team first mentality, a lot of star players can create people with a me first attitude but to win we have to be willing to play whatever role necessary

After capturing the S74 Continental Cup, the Vancouver Wolves had to say farewell after raising the trophy to two key pieces on this very young Wolves roster with 9/13 Roster players being drafted S72 or later. A career Wolf retiring with 432 career Games played along with 50+ Playoff Games during his 5 years in the pros, capping it all off with his best hockey his last two seasons and his Victory lap season was one for the history books Brock Louth S74 Playoff MVP (Daisuke Kanou Trophy) Winner. After losing their biggest offensive cornerstone the Wolves opted to keep investing in the future parting ways with another player who had only knew the Wolves Jersey in his 7 year professional career one of the very few still left from his draft class the legendary veteran  Jeff Downey S73’s Top offensive defenseman in the VHL ( Alexander Valiq Trophy) a two time 100 Pt scoring Defenseman coming off of three straight 20 goal seasons including a career high 32 in S73. The Wolves moved Jeff to the windy city in a trade going to the Chicago Phoenix in exchange for a S77 3rd and S76 4th. The S74 Continental Cup Champion Vancouver Wolves were really carried by these two players offensively and relied upon heavily each night as main scoring options, with Louth and Downey being the teams top two for Pts by a fair margin. Especially Louth having points on well over 50% it felt like all goals during the final series against Helsinki. These changes lead for lots of opportunity and a major gap in scoring left open to be filled. The Wolves have a locker room full of pieces that are more than capable of filling that void, the only question is , who will it be ?

(S72) Andrew Su (4th VHL Season)
    User: @Da_Berr | TPE: 760 (0 Banked)
    C | 6' 0" | 190 lb. | Age: 16 | Canadian
    VHL Drafted: 13th Overall (S72) | VHLM Drafted: 25th Overall (S71)
-Coming off of an history book season scoring 100 pts the wolves look to Su as their Current and Future first line Center. Strong two way scoring, more offensive as of late, always a max earner and continuing to grow as on of the leagues top players.

(S72) Gregg Stallion (3rd VHL Season)
    User: @SweatyBeaver | TPE: 623 (5 Banked)
    RW | 6' 0" | 180 lb. | Age: 20 | German
    VHL Drafted: 15th Overall (S72) | VHLM Drafted: 20th Overall (S72)
Gregg Stallion going into only his third VHL season ironically one of the older players on the roster. Finishing S74 scoring 30 goals for the 1st time in his career as a sophomore was quite impressive. this is a Pure Sniper already with 700 career shots, extremely loyal, max earner, funny guy in the LR. Stallion will be on the first line Winger for a long time

    (S73) Kevin King (Sophomore)
    User: @IamMOOSE | TPE: 579 (5 Banked)
    C | 6' 1" | 187 lb. | Age: 25 | U.S.A
    VHL Drafted: 19th Overall (S73) | VHLM Drafted: 4th Overall (S73)
Kevin King the once highly touted VHLM prospect earning at an incredible rate in S73 only to later go on and slide way down and Vancouver got a steal in a future 1st line big two-way scorer. The previous 4th Ovr VHLM pick and Kevin is finding is way into the pros and finding his role as a depth scorer in Vancouver. King is your perfect 2nd line center to bring balanced scoring to your team , he does it all, all considering being such a young player the potential as a first line center is there too.

    (S74) Onde Sandstrom (Sophomore)
    User: @fonziGG | TPE: 510 (7 Banked)
    RW | 6' 8" | 240 lb. | Age: 25 | Sweden
    VHL Drafted: 6th Overall (S74) | VHLM Drafted: 8th Overall (S73)
Onde Sandstrom is one of the scariest and toughest players to come through the VHL and most of all the country gentle country Sweden Itself. Sandstrom standing at 6’8” and weighing over 240lbs this big strong skating winger really knows how to throw a hit, his ability to always come out of the corner with the puck during battles provides major advantages creating scoring opportunities out of nothing. Sandstrom the 6th Ovr Pick in S74 and 4th Forward selected as well as the 3rd Vancouver Wolf to be selected in those top 6 picks. Sandstrom would be a no doubt 1st line Powerforward winger on any other VHL team, going into what is just his sophomore season as a pro playing minutes split between 1st and 2nd line on the wing with such great young forward talent in Van City future 1st line Power Forward Winger.

    (S74) Venus Thightrap (Sophomore)
    User: @BladeMaiden| TPE: 528 (25 Banked)
    C | 5' 9" | 140 lb. | Age: 21 | Denmark
    VHL Drafted: 3rd Overall (S74) | VHLM Drafted: 13th Overall (S73)
The pint sized exotic Danish superstar the wolves had one of the most stacked draft picks in S74 with pick 3 picks through the first 6 ! Respectively 3rd , 4th  and 6th. With their 1st choice in the S74 draft none other than Miss Thightrap. Venus is truly a franchise changing potential player. Compared to Sidney Crosby and Connor McDavid except 140 lbs lol. Venus is currently playing on a line with two Offense first minded players, Thightrap has taken it upon herself in her sophomore season to focus more on her two-way game playing on the wing with Su and Stallion, Venus just makes the players around her better and showing signs of incredible growth.

    (S73) Jesper Norberg (Sophomore)
    User: @jpsd | TPE: 497 (7 Banked)
    RW | 5' 10" | 175 lb. | Age: 25 | Sweden |
    VHL Drafted: 20th Overall (S73) | VHLM Drafted: 11th Overall (S73)

Norberg is a future shoe in every year to be nominated for most gentlemanly player, his transitioning to the pros from the M with no problem. After putting in the work in practice and proving his size and style of play is still effective, not the most aggressive, but effective. @Beaviss was able to snag @jspd early in the 2nd securing a long time loyal and dependable franchise winger. Jesper Norberg came into Vancouver with an incredible rookie season scoring 27 Goals, 41 Assists for 68 Pts in 72 GP and a whopping 306 shots on net! Norberg is your perfectly built career depth scoring with consistency. Due School holding Jesper’s development back slightly the S73 WJHC Gold Medalist and most recently S74 Continental Cup Champion Norberg is poised to be a Wolf for life already established 2nd line winger , maybe the best depth scoring option in the league and Vancouvers lucky to have a user like this Norbergs dedication and consistency and priceless.

    (S74) Riley Couture (Rookie)
    User: @Riley_Couture | TPE: 417 (42 Banked)
    C | 5' 7" | 145 lb. | Age: 23 | Great Britain |
    VHL Drafted: 19th Overall (S74) | VHLM Drafted: 29th Overall (S73)
Riley Couture is the type of player when youre watching a game , everyone is saying “who is that”? Couture is a player the VSN Scouts were talking about since stepping on the ice for the first time playing for SSK in S73. Couture was instantly slotted as a top 10 pick in both drafts and maintained that position for up to the draft. The Wolves and Im pretty sure Riley as well coudlnt have been happier on draft day when they were able to use their high 2nd round pick to secure Coutures rights. After last seasons strong success and proven commitment and dedication to winning Couture was name AGM in HFX as well as playing on the 21st’s top line with VHLM Legend Michael Hall @Hops , carrying Halifax to an out of this world 64-7-1 record only to lose in a game 7 in the Round one of the playoffs.

SweatyBeaver reacted to IamMOOSE in The Long & Short of It: The VHLM
For this week’s, The Long & Short of It, we take a small break from deep player dives and instead embark on a journey through the VHLM, this season 74 in review, some feedback from GMs and players, what makes the VHLM so special, and perhaps what could come in the future for the league.

Season 74 was a banner year for the VHLM, covering the deepest recruitment drive some players had ever seen and rivaling the drive of season 66/67. With over 200 new recruits and recreates, the deepest pool of the 70s classes thus far kicked off with dominant performances from perennial favorites Vegas, Ottawa, and Mississauga. But all were outclassed by the juggernaut Halifax 21st, who were on the Miami of s73 road of having high value players throughout the roster. Beginning and seasoning the regular season in dominant fashion, the Halifax 21st led in every statistical category and were set to breeze on through a playoff run. On the Western side of things, Vegas had built a strong enough lead through the trade deadline but began to split games as the season wound down. The real fight was deeper in the league however, as Yukon and Mississauga fought for home ice and the right to face an Ottawa team that got hot after the trade deadline but cooled as the season ended. The tail end of the field saw the Philadelphia Reapers desperately cling to 4-point deficit over the Miami Marauders for the 8th and final playoff spot. Miami had struggles through much of the season but had formed a bond together in what we’d eventually dub the Waiver Warriors mentality. Miami after being behind 11 points following the trade deadline fought back to close the gap on the Reapers, winning their final four games of the season to overtake them and claim the final playoff spot.

The playoffs immediately took on a different feel, as Ottawa pushed Yukon to seven games and the Miami Marauders who made the playoffs on the last day of the regular season downed the dominant Halifax 21st in seven games. The second round had a feeling of uneasy tension to it as the Vegas Aces went down 3-0 to Miami. Elsewhere, Yukon and Mississauga were poised to go to a seven-game series with some questionable tactics from the Hounds’ camp. Vegas would show their might however, rallying back to force a game seven but couldn’t complete the reverse sweep as Miami pushed its ticket to the Founder’s Cup. Mississauga would overcome Yukon to meet them and for Miami GM Kris Rice, the battle of his past and present set the stage for his next attempt at a championship. Miami would go on to complete a four-game sweep of the Mississauga Hounds, completing the unlikely playoff run and cementing the Cinderella story for the Waiver Warriors in the VHLM.

This season also saw another round of prime directive penalties, as teams road inactive players over signing new talent, resulting in many new creates not joining VHLM teams. The offending teams this time; Halifax (deducted a 4th round pick), Mississauga (deducted a 3rd round pick), Minnesota (who’s penalty was later lessened), & Ottawa (deducted a 1st & 3rd round pick). It was and is a problem that brings out the philosophical argument of the minor league as to the balance of competition and retention with the mandate being a league about developing and retaining active members over winning as a priority. It’s a violation that plagued Mississauga, even in the playoffs as many feel they were controversially not adhering to the mandate as IA players continued to get minutes even in the Semi Finals versus Yukon.

So, what is next for the VHLM? Season 75’s draft is now behind us and a loom of another possible influx has opened the VHLM Juniors, a design to help VHLM teams sign more players and give everyone a chance to play. Under the guise of the STHS farm system, VHLM Juniors could easily come to be a regular thing as the league looks for more membership. The idea behind it, coming through with a cap of half the league filling the max roster size. If that were to happen, the Junior league would open. It is our expectation that by season 77, VHLM Juniors will be a full-time league. It’s an exciting prospect for the league, who just recently expanded its major division by four teams, a design that could, if this continues, follow to the VHLM.

Finally, we got to talk to some player, GMs, and even Acydburn about what makes the VHLM special, favorite moments, and what they’d love to see in the future. For our personal take, it matches much of the comments here about retention and the engagement with molding new players into long term members, those little moments in Discord chat that bring a team together, and the hopes of future expansion as when the VHLM expands it means the league is thriving. Here are some comments from VHLM GMs and players about the league:

    1. What makes the VHLM special to you?

“The VHLM is special to me because it is the entry point into this great league. It is the first thing the players experience when they join. I get to be a part of trying to help them enjoy all the things this league has to offer and that is rewarding.” – Rice (Miami GM)

“Probably the engagement and excitement of the M community. it's always getting fresh faces that add to the excitement, and it's harder to maintain a dynasty here. that just ramps up everyone's competitiveness.” – Spartan (Vegas GM)

“I think the VHLM is special because of the role we play for the community. We’re the first interaction people experience when joining this league. We’re there for their 1st signing, their 1st game, their 1st goal, their 1st draft. Those experiences have a profound impact on their commitment to the league. If we’re not creating an enjoyable experience for everyone, we’re ruining the potential success and enjoyment of not just the VHLM, but the VHL, and the entire community.” – DMaximus (Philadelphia GM)

“It's a place where everyone who wants to play in the VHL gets their start. For me being in the Miami locker room this season, there was a lot of people who were new to the league coming together, putting in the work and pushing and supporting each other, and our management group did everything they could to help us get used to the VHL and develop as players.” – Trevor

“It obviously gets looked down upon by the players in the VHL, because it's a development league. But for a lot of guys, me included, it's our first time being part of a team on this site and it's special being in a locker room for the first time, and even though players mostly play to develop, there isn't a ton of pressure to perform and you can just have fun with fellow rookies.” – Ledge and Dairy (Vegas Defensemen)

“Being in the LR is amazing, I know they have them in the VHL but the vegas one has made this experience so enjoyable. Especially bc they drafted me and stuff. And also everyone is friendly in the VHLM so you can just talk to to whoever.” – Hoopydog (Vegas Forward)

“I guess it's like the old saying goes, you always remember your first. VHLM is everyones first. For me it was starting my rookie season in Saskatoon. And it really is a great place to start off your career. Much like real players in the minors hone their skills, I have been using my time in the VHLM to learn the ley of the land. This experience I've gained this season is invaluable.” – fromtheinside (San Diego Defensemen)

    2. If you could see anything change/improve in the VHLM what would it be?

“My only critique is that it needs to become more about retention and less about winning. Winning is extremely important as it also helps with retention but the main focus is the journey along the way and keeping things fun and engaging for new members.” – Rice (Miami GM)

“In general, I think the league is well run and I think Acyd and d_a have shown they mean business with running the league and that’s a great thing. The primary thing I would change is I would eliminate all inactive players. The moment someone is inactive, they are removed from a roster. I think that would help all GMs maintain a strong focus on getting and maintaining active players. I would also eliminate Free Agents. I would also change the way we calculate the total number of seasons in a player’s career. It’s extremely difficult to join the league and leave the VHLM in a single season, meaning most players are going to spend more than 1 season in the VHLM. Every season spent in the VHLM is one less season you spend in the pros. I think that is unfair to most people, and we shouldn’t penalize people for growing their player at their own rate. Let them spend up to 3 seasons in the VHLM, then start their career seasons once they start playing in the pros.” – DMaximus (Philadelphia GM)

“The one thing that stood out to me as something I wish were different, from the moment I joined the league, was that I wish players didn't have to sign up, pick a team, play part of a season with that team and then switch to a different VHLM team at the draft. But it's a bit of a tough problem to solve. I do wonder what it might look like if players got to stick with the team they chose, if it was almost a college sports style model... I would worry that occasionally a team might find itself not being relevant for a long time though.” – Trevor

“Right now, expansion seems like a decent idea with all the new creates. Other than that, I think it's being run pretty well.” – Ledge and Dairy (Vegas Defensemen)

    3. What is your favorite VHLM moment?

“This is a tough one because I have quite a few. Winning the S74 championship is right up there but my favorite was probably when the Marauders first joined the league and bringing in that first roster of players. That was a great season.” – Rice (Miami GM)

“Probably getting drafted in my first season, and also every M draft afterwards. drafts are fun, and I've enjoyed being in them and hosting them.” – Spartan (Vegas GM)

“I have a lot of personal favorite moments, like drafting a player in a later round and watching them grow, or seeing someone on my team write their first media spot, or having team members help out with the team like my AGM @spence king and my head scout @dariusmorimotoman. For a single favorite moment,  I really enjoyed Miami’s run this season.” – DMaximus (Philadelphia GM)

“It was crazy to be a part of Miami's Cinderella run to the Founders Cup this year. The moment in our locker room when we all checked and saw that we'd beaten Halifax in Game 7 was incredible. From that point on, we had a lot of belief in ourselves, but it was still surreal when we actually pulled it off.” – Trevor

“When I scored my first goal, and I went into my LR and everyone there congratulated me. It's really like a family, being in a LR like that.” – Ledge and Dairy (Vegas Defensemen)

“Well my favourite personal moment was scoring my first game winning goal of my career vs the Houston Bulls in the regular season this year. It was the first time I felt like my player directly made an impact on the team and it felt awesome. Outside of my own personal achievements though, I'd lie if I didn't say watching Miami's miracle playoff run wasn't the coolest thing I've seen thus far. Knocking off two powerhouses in back to back series and then sweeping a very sound Mississauga Hounds team was nothing short of amazing.” – fromtheinside (San Diego Defensemen)

    Acydburn (VHLM Commissioner)
Q: What makes the VHLM special to you?

“It’s the first thing someone gets to experience as a new player. The M is where you learn about the league and establish those first connections. I’ve met a bunch of great people in the VHL and a lot of them started from my days back in Halifax. If it wasn’t for the M I don’t think I would be a part of this league.”

Q: If you could see anything change/improve in the VHLM what would it be?

“There are a few things that I would like to see changed in the M. You’ll just have to stay tuned for those ;)”

Q: What is your favorite VHLM moment?

“Not quite sure I’ve had one, they all have their moments. I think When we had the entire team all pumped up for playoffs and were all active. The locker room was really popping off and made em enjoy the league a bit more.”

SweatyBeaver reacted to Da_Berr in S74 for Su
What a season it has been for Andrew Su. Coming off a solid sophomore season, he came into season 74 with moderate expectations for both himself and the Vancouver team as a whole. A 77 point season for a sophomore season is great, but with the departure of many well-known faces such as HHH and Freeman, and a lot of old prospects such as Jungkok it was a huge unknown how the team and Su were going to perform. The team's expectations going into the season was to make the playoffs and then maybe make the second round. After all, VAN is a young team mainly composed of prospects. For Su, his personal goal was to break 80 points this season, as he failed to do so last season.

This season was a huge one for Su, as although he wasn't able to bring home any individual medals, VAN won the cup! It was a huge surprise for VAN to even place 1st in the regular season in the NA, not to mention 2nd overall in the entire league. Su showed considerable improvements and contributions throughout the playoffs, being 3rd in scoring with 22 points in 19 games. Last season's early wild card exit and miserable showing with 1 single assist in 5 games definitely was an experience that he took and learned from. Also huge applause for everyone who played on VAN this season. They played through adversity and climbed up the ranks this season to become the winners of the cup. Beav has made an excellent team that seems to be set for multiple seasons to come and can only get better with time. Apart from the cap hell that awaits VAN a few seasons down the line, they are going to be a formidable team in the NA for a long time.

Su's point totals also shot through the roof this season, hitting 100 points. A huge part of it was playing on the second line, behind Louth, but it also showed his great growth and potential for the future. Going from 34 goals, 43 assists and 77 points, to 44 goals 56 assists and 100 points isn't anything to scoff at and it also definitely shows the improvements that Su has made this season, but it was also in large part due to the team that surrounded him. This season one of the biggest factors was the team chemistry, everyone seemed to get along with one another and it showed in everyone's play.

A cup is definitely something everyone wants to end their season with, but for Su, this offseason also marks the first time he was ever selected to play in the all-star game and in the World Cup for Canada. Two huge honours that only ever go to the best of the best. For Su, who is about to go into his fourth season, there will be many expectations for how he'll perform. Especially with Louth retiring, and him being promoted to 1st line.

Champion. It's a word I never thought I could call myself before I came to North America. On the grandest stage, I was apart of something truly special. A championship squad is something I could never be apart of. I didn't just defy all of my critics, I also defied myself. I have a god damn ring. It's awesome as a feeling. It helps that I have such a fantastic group of teammates to help me settle in the country and enjoy the course of the season. At the beginning, none of us thought we could go this deep. We figured we were on the outside looking in and then next thing you know, we went 10 wins in a row. We were like a freight train that couldn't be stopped. It was after that where I thought we could really win it all. I mean, if we didn't, I wouldn't have been upset about it at all. We're all so young with a few leaders in the room so I had 0 expectations.

The @Emi, @BladeMaiden and @IamMOOSErookie group were huge to my development. Kevin kicked my ass into shape throughout the season and Venus taught me how to handle the puck so much more effectively. Don't forget, they played on thise sized rink for their entire careers. They were used to this type of play. I was not at all and they knew that. They would take extra practices to get me up to speed and watch close spaces. I know this season was a bit of a wash for me but I think theres going to be more minutes opening up, hopefully, so my point totals should go up in theory. Emi was always ready to practice for me as well. We had a partnership before practice to get some work in since we both could help each other down the line.

Our captain, @DarkSpyro, was such a goat throughout the season and post season. He was always in my ear letting me know that my time would come. Don't get dishearted and the such. He really was a huge motivating factor for a lot of the players here. It was his first season as captain and hes such a consummate professional throughout it. He kicked our asses all season long throughout practices. He made us practice our shots and set plays after hours just so we can improve. A lot of this cup is owed to a few players and he's one of them.

@Beaviss, @JeffD, and @Poptart would hype me up before games. They showed me that it's more then just serious focus all the time. We gotta have some fun while we do this otherwise we're going to go absolute bonkers. Huge jokesters in the locker room but man, they are the types of dudes you want to have in our corner because they put in more work then anyone I've ever met.

@Da_Berr, @jpsd, @SweatyBeaver and @Garshapart of that group as well. These dudes were fantastic to have on a long stretch of away games. They always brought games like Uno and Monopoly Deal (can't forget about cards)  to lighten the load on the bus rides. Always a smile on their face until they step on the ice. It's funny because, my favourite memory of them was preseason. They were all laughing and joking around up until we got on the ice. I had never seen Stallion not be smiling but the mad man was mean mugging every single opposition player. These dudes had chirps and it was only a preseason game. I think I heard Su tell someone that they look like something they drew with their left hand.

Sadly, I'll close on this note. This team has to be one of the top teams I've ever had in my entire career. Time to hope next season only gets better.

    Lets taste silver again everyone!

SweatyBeaver reacted to Beaviss in Vancouver Wolves Off-Season Trades
This will be a short review of all the trades I made this past offseason/ season that lead up to and during the draft.

Because of the shear amount of high picks vs roster space I had I know I needed to move up in the draft to get the most value out of my picks. This was the first trade of my off season and I did it to move up the draft as far up as I could reach. To break it down a little easier to read.
Vancouver receives: 3rd OA 22nd OA
London receives: 10th OA 13th OA 33rd OA

Unfortunately this was my busted high draft pick that I had to move up to create some roster space for all the rookies coming up. Got some value for the player

I was able to move up significantly to be able to reach up and grab my Assistant General Manager @Emi. This was a trade that I needed to happen to grab one our future franchise defencewoman to lead the Wolves to the cup! To break the trade down a little more so its easier to read.
    Vancouver receives: 4th OA
Prague receives: 8th OA 32nd OA

This was a trade that I also needed to make. Riley Couture has very strong ties to Vancouver Wolves management and it was worth the hefty price to bring in. I was talking to some other General Manages and I knew that Couture would have not fallen to the pick I had coming up. Finding this out made me pull the trigger. Couture will most likely be the Vancouver Wolves future #2 Centre behind the great Su.
    Vancouver receives: 19th OA, S75 War 3rd
Warsaw receives: 22nd OA, 28th OA

Let me know your opinions on the trades above? Did I win most of them? Did I lose? Let me know I love the criticism.

Coming to a theatre near you: The story of a man whose blood alcohol concentration is consistently hovering at the .60% mark. A man who defied every obstacle put in his way by an oppressive society who wished to hide his talent. A man who would single-handedly unite a nation and tear down all barriers that divided people.

The Revolution on Ice. The Story of Gregg Stallion. (Written and Directed by Gregg Stallion.)

Set in a dystopian Belgium where everyone must farm flaxseed or die. One man would dare to question the authority of this corrupt government. His name is Gregg Stallion (Dwayne Johnson with a wig and horrible accent) and together with a mysterious agent who has no character development other than to be his love interest. (Some attractive woman who would look great on a poster) They will be thrust into a world of intrigue and deceit as they work to take down the evil ruler of Belgium (Betty White.)

Gregg Stallion is a farmer like everyone else in this dystopian Belgium but one day a helicopter containing agent Ruby Soleil crashes into his field. Despite clearly being a highly capable agent Ruby does nothing except need Gregg Stallion’s heroic help to help her escape from the evil Queen Marie Antoinetty (original character.) Ruby takes Gregg to the secret base of the resistance who have realized that there is more to life than just growing flax. The resistance is lead by Commander Bradley “Brad” Bradshaw (Danny DeVito) a grizzled war vet missing an entire quarter of his face.

Brad tells Gregg that for some reason he is now the resistance’s only hope and he will be sent on a daring mission with Ruby even though there is clearly no chemistry between them asides from being the male and female leads. Surrounding Belgium is a forcefield and thousands of kilometers of ice trapping the inhabitants and it just so conveniently happens that Gregg’s great grandfather taught him how to skate before he was executed in front of Gregg (very emotional flashback.)

Gregg and Ruby will skate over the ice to reach the forcefield control center and take down the forcefield allowing the people to escape. A lot of explosions and quips occur until the forcefield is destroyed. Gregg and Ruby return and together with Brad create skates for all the oppressed Belgian people and teach them to skate in underground arenas.

The evil government has tried its bust to quell the rebellion, but it could not stop Gregg and through he has become the face of the rebellion despite only just joining. Gregg and Ruby kiss out of nowhere and then it is the finale.

All of Belgium rises and puts on their skates in a desperate attempt to escape. Queen Marie executes Brad on TV in a last-minute attempt to scare the rebels. But it is too late as Gregg leads the escape from the one-dimensional villainess. Many die in the escape as they are shot at from helicopters and snowmobiles from the government agents until finally, they make it to the edge of the free land of Estonia.

During the escape, Gregg and Marie have an intense fight in which all of the sudden Gregg is hopelessly weak against a foe he should beat in order to up the intensity. When all seems lost Ruby shoots Marie but it is done in a way where you don’t know who shot the gun and who has just been shot even though anyone over the age of 5 knows the villain got shot. Ruby and Gregg once again kiss as the music swells and explosions erupt way too close to them but they do not care.

Gregg saves Belgium and is immortalized as the hero and receives all the credit and is super popular and can drink all the whisky that he wants. The End.

Gregg Stallion’s movie ended up on the Hulu streaming service and was the first movie to receive a negative rating on Rotten Tomatoes who states; “As if 2020 was not bad enough we have this putrid, revolting and insulting movie made by someone who is way too in love with themselves.”

Despite the negative reviews it has done well because of their being nothing to watch and Stallion has announced that he is writing a sequel called; 2 Gregg 2 Stallion. He hopes to introduce the Stallionverse by the end of it.

On the standings page in the forums, the ROW is right next to the wins column and comes before the losses, which to me is kind of unnatural and makes it confusing to look at the standings sometimes. I think ROW should be moved to the column to the right of points, and on the column to the left of the goals for, I think this will make it look better
