It's a small mention honestly, while I'm talking about Christmas Auction items. Context and later mention starts around 17:45.

2 years ago the league had every VHLM teams full, there was tons of first gens and both the forum and discord had so much life. It was the S75 draft class knocking at the VHL's door. How did it turn out in the end? In this short article I will be taking a look at some of the notable S75 first gens in their draft order and where they are now.

    7th: Cabe McJake @redsus
This one is an interesting one, McJake used to be a pretty good and consistant TPE earner and was leading the S75 draft class in TPE at some point. Other than his ban later in his career I think McJake killed his career by taking a greedy 6M$ salary.

    8th: Addison McLaren: @tcookie
Back in S74, McLaren and Mcjake were absolutely killing it in the VHLM, one season later McLaren was earning a Founders cup in Philadelphia. For a good part of his career he was seen as one of the top first gens of S75 but slowed down on activity later.

    11th: Scotty Kaberle @fromtheinside
This is a well known member by now, FTI has been AGM of Yukon, New York and now Chicago. He ended up winning a Continental cup with the Malmo Nighthawks and a founders cup with the Yukon Rush as an AGM. On his second player he managed to get the picked 1st overall and he is now BOG.

    20th: Cowboy Prout @Prout
This is a guy I thought would stay around. He was pretty active but is now gone. I wouldn't be surpised to see him back at some point.

    24th: Robert Bouchard @Gaikoku-hito
Our first steal of this article. I had the opportunity to play my whole career with him on my first player and what a great guy and also a reliable and loyal player. He used to be my AGM back in Yukon and he is now AGM for the Wolves and I'm sure he is doing a great job there.

    26th: Justin Lose @youloser1337
An other big steal of this draft. Lose been climbing the TPE leaderboard for his whole career to end up at the 2nd place. Not only that but also been such a dominant player during S81, walking home with 4 awards in 1 single season. He also been GM of the Mexico City Kings for quite a while as well as being our TPE santa claus with the fantasy zone.

    27th: Linus Zetterstrom @Ledge
At some point Ledge was one of the most active first gen of this draft class and has been GM of Miami for a few seasons but things have slowed down on his side. Hopefully he can come back to his former activity at some point.

    36th: Thadius Sales: @thadthrasher
    Eww

Alright, I got enough words for sure, I'm sure I forgot about a lot of people but no offense, this draft class was huge and I don't wanna write all night for a VHL.com article. I also intentionally skipped my own player.

Email received from Indy Pub mentioned above, requesting the full novel. They said that they've never had a reader react to a submission like this before, as the reader requested the full manuscript before finishing chapter 1 of the 3 chapter submission.

I will create/modify a set of let's say 12 emotes for your team's LR. So if you want the :ded: emote wearing a Moscow jersey? I got you, or :FatF: wearing a Vegas jersey? Also got you. As long as it's feasible to do and won't get either party banned for breaking the CoC I'll whip it up. Not all have to be claimed at once, but it can be done as needed over a longer period of time at your convenience.

So we're one day away from  December, I feel like I blinked and it was a year.

last year was a huge success! Can see how last years went here.

So this post is a call for our Charity Auction, you can see what others did last year here. This gives you an idea of what other's have done or come up with something new.
@bigAL said it best last year "Essentially, members offer up whatever they can or want to offer to others, and the rest of us bet real world money (okay, just Canadian dollars, but still). The highest bid at the end of the week, wins! "

So to further rip off @bigAL

In this thread, please post what you're willing to auction off.

    Auction items:
    - We had an awesomely creative auction last year, check out the subforum for ideas for this year. It's okay to repeat things.
    - Staff will have the final say on which volunteered items make it to the auction. We will not select things like muting poor @Dil for the rest of his life (Maybe just another month?).  Could you imagine if he didn't take that like a champ and disappeared forever? I wouldn't blame him.
    - As always, everything must be SFW.
    - When you bid on an auction item, you are agreeing to pay that amount in full.
-IF YOU SIGN UP TO AUCTION OFF AN ITEM OR YOUR TIME/EVENT. THIS IS A COMMITMENT. If you offer to do something please follow through with it.

Once we get the items for the charity auction sorted, we'll set fundraising goals and share the corresponding rewards for hitting each goal.

So, happy holidays! I can't wait to see what you guys come up with.

As always @Commissioners have final say if an item is appropriate or goes against our rules/TOS.

A few seasons ago, and by a few I mean like 15 or so I think, we re-worked the career point tasks because league surveys showed that people were interested in having more tasks valued lower rather than 2 large tasks valued higher. People also wanted some extra meaning behind the tasks, themes if you will, since the old Rookie Profile and Bio had become basically the same thing. On the whole this change was well received but the amount that the new tasks have been completed has been, shall we say, lackluster. Despite having full careers come and go within the new system for example not one person (as of when we got our data anyway) had completed a bio. Therefore the @BOG set out to re-tool the career point tasks again to try and hopefully give them a bit more of a spark.

On the whole these changes aren't as large as the last overhaul, more of a tweak than anything else, but should hopefully make the tasks less spread out (since fewer people di the later tasks) and less specialized to specific time periods. Additionally we are adding, for the first time in the VHL, the ability to podcast (10 minute minimum) your career tasks which should hopefully produce a bit of diversity. The lengths and TPE payouts will remain the same and the new tasks will go into effect immediately (more details on that at the bottom of this post). The new task layout is as follows:

As I said, these go into effect immediately so what does that mean for current players? Rather than blocking them until X season like we did (confusingly) last time we have decided to go for the easy route this time. The tasks are open to everyone immediately (the rubrics will be updated soon) with a few small caveats:

    1. If you have not already claimed a bio you can write one any time before the end of your career; you no longer need to wait to your 8th season.
    2. Veteran Presence has been formally removed; therefore if you have not claimed a VP already you can claim a Career Reflection in it's place. If you have claimed a VP then that is considered the same thing and cannot he claimed again.
    3. In the same vein as above, Hello Europe is officially replacing Junior Review. Therefore if you previously completed a Junior Review you are ineligible to complete Hello Europe even if you remain in the VHLE. If you are still within the VHLE and did not claim a JR you may claim Hello Europe.

If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.
