  1. New guy, same rules Mississauga Press Conference for Week Ending June 14th 1. We've been battling with Mexico City and Philadelphia for fourth all season. Can be anyone in the VHL or VHLM! 4. The trade deadline is next Monday. Are there any moves you would like to see for the team? 5. What's your pre-game ritual? 6. Have you acquired any new skills during the isolation period?

  3. Hello @jpsd, and welcome to the VHL! My name is Rory, and I am the Assistant General Manager of the Mississauga Hounds. Our General Manager, @ColeMrtz, has asked me to reach out and invite you to join the Hounds in our hunt for the Founders Cup. We are one of the best teams in the VHLM, and back it up in by having a strong community built in the locker room. With all the experience we have in our locker room, most questions you could have are answered incredibly quickly. On the negative side, we have a strong forward core and due to this, we'd have to slot you onto the third line. I hope this doesn't deter you too much, as you will be helping us grow our winning culture, and we'll definitely help you achieve your goals here in the VHL. Plus the VHLM is all about having fun, and collecting W's is fun, we would know! If you're interested, go ahead and quote this and say "accepted", and we'll send over a standard 1 season/1.5 million dollar contract! If you decide other on another team, no problem! Lots of teams will be sending over offers in the next couple of hours, so take your time, and find the best fit for you.

  5. 1. We've made some big trades recently, who do you think's going to make the biggest impact for us? Viktor Mjers is a stud, just gotta hope we don't boost his draft stock too high for the draft this year. @InstantRockstar 2. What do you think is going to be your best stat this season? Definitely assists. We got lots of talented guys on this team and they definitely do most of the work for me. 3. We've had a lot of Kings getting jobs recently, what would your ideal VHL job be? Anthem singer. I got absolute pipes that I know would get the boys pumped up for the game. 4. What VHLM team do you think is just going to slip into the playoffs? You know it's a tough league, everyone real close to each other. I can see anybody squeaking in, or anybody going cold and falling out. 5. Who's the most underrated player on the Kings? Hylands, he may not look the greatest on the ice, or off the ice, but I think deep, DEEP down there's a good hockey player. Not great, but good. Somewhere in there. @Hylands33 6. Have you picked up any new hobbies or dove deeper into one during this isolation period. Nothing too serious, just been keeping it easy
  6. Hey Cole, I'll apply. I'm active in the Mexico City locker room and can dedicate a consistent amount of time of week for the foreseeable future. Would love the opportunity to work with you.

    centerpiece to the rebuild ?
  8. Mexico City - Lines from practice today suggest that captain and S72 dispersal draft first overall selection, Chris Hylands (S72 2nd - MAL), has been demoted to the second line following a slow start to the season. Blake Bridges (S71 3rd - VAN) will be taking over in the first LW slot, and Jeffrey Pines will move to the right wing. Bridges has 8-9-17 so far this season, however his early success could be accredited to second line center, Arthur Dayne (S72 3rd - NYA), who leads the team with 29 points. This shakeup in the lineup could help Hylands heat up, and with Dayne's help to return him to the scoresheet more consistently. With scoring being an issue in Mexico City, it's not surprise GM Motza acquired offensive defenseman Viktor Mjers in a trade earlier today. Mjers 25 points immediately ties Pines for the third highest point total for the Kings. Mjers elite skating and puck handling will slot him nicely on the top pairing with Viktor Kamenov (S72 1st - MAL). The Viktor duo will have a new netminder behind the pipes occasionally, as waivers goaltender JoDuckets LaPimpin signed a one year deal with Mexico City to join the Kings as their backup goalie. Zamboni Driver has played all 22 games for the Kings thus far, giving him a much earned break. 219 words - I named lots of people: @Hylands33 @Blake Bridge @Infernal @InstantRockstar @BigTittySmitty @Tape-to-Tape @deweyshot89 @Motzaburger
  9. I graciously accept and will continue to do as the magic 8 ball says. Praise be upon it.
  10. HUGE Titty Smitty
  11. the absolute NERVE of new people trying to get positions in this league!
  12. I'd be honoured to be selected for any team, but I'd love a nod to control team Canada.
  13. 1. The Kings are currently tied for 3rd, how do you think the season's going so far? Yeah we're getting the work done out there. Hopefully we can keep this momentum through the season. 2. How have your stats been? Are you doing as well as you wanted this season? Anything is better then my last years stats, so I'm happy. I think we can connect for a few more during the clutch, but that's something we gotta work on. 3. Who do you think is going to be the star player for the Kings this season? Captain Chris. Dude is ready to light up the VHL and he's still down here with us. 4. Who do you think is going to be the King's biggest rival this year? Minnesota has a tough roster, but anything can happen in a hockey game and numbers only matter off the ice. 5. Tag a teammate and what random skill they bring to the team? @Tape-to-Tape is an absolute stud. He's got like, a 3 game shutout streak rolling? That's the type of goalie I want come playoff time. 6. How has your Memorial day weekend been? Good, good. He scratches his nose furiously. Love getting the time to put some work in and you know, suns out guns out.
  14. Hey, I'll apply. I'm active in the Mexico City locker room and can definitely meet the work requirements, shouldn't have any major schedule changes until at least September. Would love for you to take me as your AGM.
  15. G - Jimmy Spyro @Alex Bridges
  16. D - Guy Sasakamoose @Hylands33 (the right tag this time)
  17. F- Owen Nolan @Hylands33
  18. "The boys are back in town!" Pines exclaims to ESPN.mx reporters after a voluntary training session in the downtown Mexico City rink this afternoon. "I"m beyond hyped to be returning to the big MC and to be in the hunt for the cup this year" he continues. Juan Pedro, ESPN.mx correspondent then asks: "Returning to Mexico City after an abysmal 1 point season total, what have you changed coming into this season that's going to raise that number up?". Pines replies, "Yeah last year it was hard getting my feet underneath me, but now I'm playing on a line with Captain Chris and Jay Jones so I'm sure they'll be able to carry me to at least point per game. Plus having big Kamenov at the point, I think we'll see a drastic number change coming into the season. I think the three of us, Hylands and Kamenov, have great locker room chemistry, the three amigos, you could say." As Juan Pedro asks his next question, Chris Hylands and Viktor Kamenov can be heard making dinner plans, and they quickly leave the room. Pines sheds a single tear, as the camera fades to black. @Hylands33 @BigTittySmitty
