@Gustav and I are happy to announce that we've come to a decision on the next GMs for both Ottawa and Las Vegas. We had a pretty strong list of applicants which made the decision tougher than we expected, so a big thank you to all those that applied. Don't feel disheartened if you didn't get the position this go around, and I encourage you to apply for future positions as well. If anyone would like feedback on their candidacy, feel free to reach out to me.

Shrimp's VHLM career comes to an end after 2 seasons. Shrimp played for 3 teams throughout the 2 seasons and racked up almost a point per game through his tenure there. San Diego was the first home for Shrimp and he loved and enjoyed every moment of being a marlin. It has helped shaped him as a player with a wonderful team and most importantly, GM. The show isn't over for Shrimp as he moves to Bratislava for the upcoming VHLE season. Even though Shrimp hasn't been a luck charm in the playoffs, who said the playoffs were meant to be easy? It's a tough grind to make it to the top and just like life, we all got this!
 
Shrimp's statement:
I feel it is time for me to get promoted to a bigger league and i am confident that I am ready for it. The coaches in the VHLM has been incredibly helpful to help me grow as a player on and off the ice. This is a wonderful opportunity and I am forever grateful to grow my career in Europe. I heard Bratislava is an amazing team with a really chill GM so I am looking forward to meeting him in person!

Some sad news and some good news!
 
The sad new is that @rjfryman is leaving me as VHLE Commissioner effective when we find a replacement. I wanted to personally thank RJ not just for helping me run the VHLE but also everything he's done for the league. RJ was the guy that always helped behind the scenes and never got the credit he truly deserved so thank you RJ, you were a huge help. 
 
With that said since the hiring of Two new VHLM Commissioners just took place we used the listing of that position to help fill this vacant spot. With that said your new VHLE Commissioner is @Enorama!
 
Please help me congratulate Eno on his new position. We're going to do great things for the E, can't wait for you to start!

A recap of my time as a General Manager
 
S70 for a whole 7 days I was the GM of Halifax during that time I did one trade which I got completely roasted for and did the draft. After 7 days Gustav got promoted from Mississauga to Davos. I was asked if I would like to take over Mississauga as I was the AGM for the 3 seasons prior. I remember at the time Dil took over as GM of Halifax and it was not a happy handover. I will from here not really touch on my time at Halifax and focus more on Mississauga.
 
Taking over from Gustav who went for an extremely deep run in S69 I unfortunately had nothing to work with. The draft was already done so I started with a bare bones team but a lot of positivity. 
 
The one thing I had moving in to the team was a big bustling locker room. Gustav knows how to make a good locker room so with the positivity I was hoping to bring some good waivers in sell them off at trade deadline and have some assets for next season. Well I got some players but none of them really flourished into anything and I went into the next season in the same position. Next to no draft picks and no players on the roster. However as about ten weeks had now passed a lot of the people in the locker room had moved on to other locker rooms. The draft though got me one gem. A newer create at the time and someone who Gustav rated as the best of their draft class. Andrew Su. The unfortunate thing is that by the end of the season approached way too close to the vhlm cap. I was hoping that Su would be the leader of my s71 team but after discussions it was decided they would play in the VHL the next season (At the time there was no VHLE) so I made a trade to try and get some assets. Like every other trade I participated in I was told I was robbed and that I am not good at trading. 
 
This was the beginning of the end for myself, not only that but I had one of the worst members of the time on my team. People from that time might remember St4rface and that they would always just try and sell their music to everyone. I spent a lot of time and effort with them trying to make them a good player (this was before the spam or at least before I was knowledgeable about it).
 
So I decided to close up shop as a GM. I spent so much time on each and every player and I feel like I just got unlucky with the players that signed with me. Not everyone is going to be the next big deal of the league. The one player I feel like I had a positive impact I could not give them any success with Mississauga. So I decided to step down and let someone more young and hungry took over. 
 
I think overall Gustav made GMing seem a lot easier than it seemed and being an AGM under him was so much fun I thought I would have similar experience as the head honcho. I was definitely wrong.
 

Hi! I'm back! It's me again.
 
You should remember the last VHLM announcement, which put in motion a set of new restrictions on VHLM teams' holding of draft picks. This consisted of both upper and lower limits on the picks allowed to be held by any given VHLM team, and was largely met with positive feedback. As a whole, @Spartan  and I are mostly happy with the rule as originally drawn up.
 
That said, there's one part of it that some have thought to be too restrictive, and as we consider ourselves open to your feedback, we have listened to you and we agree. We stand by the principles of the rule, and believe that most of it is just fine as is. It's become clear, though, that the original proposal of mandating teams to hold 4 picks in the first 4 rounds of the draft makes it very difficult to trade picks in general, and is perhaps an overreach when it comes to avoiding the extreme situations the rule was originally intended to prevent.
 
Because of this, the rule now looks like this (changes in red):
 
No team may hold more than two picks in each of the first two rounds of any VHLM draft. For example, a team may have up to two 1st-round picks and two 2nd-round picks, but no more. Each team must hold a minimum of three picks in the first four rounds of any draft. Each team must hold at least one pick in either the first or second round of any draft.

1: I think our performance so far is pretty good.
 
2: I think Oslo has a good chance of winning looking at the standings but that could of course change.
 
3: i think we have a very good chance of competing in the playoffs.
 
4: i haven't really checked it but i think the goalies performance.
 
5: i think for me personally Istanbul because that was my former team but for the whole team i think it would be Vasteras Iron Eagles.
 
6: i dont really have a favorite because i dont really listen to music.
