Gustav's Mock Draft: IT'S BACK
Rhynex Entertainment replied to Gustav's topic in Archived Media Spots
Amazing mock draft as always! Very well written and thought out! Middle paragraphing structure makes it a little bit difficult to read but that's not an issue. Love the subtitling, labeling, and use of bold, logos, and separation. How many drafts start with 3 goalies taken back-to-back-to-back? Interesting to see you gave Vasile Lamb @dlamb such a long and extensive review! I personally haven't done any research on who's active and who plays well, etc. it's good to have someone do the research and analysis Good to know that there are people who don't just choose the ordering with highest TPE (BPA) going first and actually think of positional/organizational needs! What are your thoughts on who will win the Rookie of the Year from this batch? Always a pleasure reading your mock drafts! Keep up the great scout work and insider spilling Deserves a 11/10 -
Very interesting concept! Very well written and thought out. Love the way you categorized a player's characteristics and involving current player's vhl characteristics with real life personal characteristics. Good use of paragraphing, bolding of subtitles. I personally think there a few things that could be changed with some of the characteristics, for example I seriously doubt there would or should be any players 7 foot tall would would be playing hockey! I also think you could widen the TPA range to determine the player's age. If 500+ TPA makes you an old man of 35+, then just making the VHL for one season and you're at retirement stage of your career! What do you think about 0-150 for 18 years; 151-300 for 22 years; 301- 450 for 25 years; 451 - 600 for 28 years; 601- 750 for 32 years; 751+ for 35 years? Just an extra 50 TPA per age group. Regardless, this is a wonderful, well thought out idea! My player would be (according to your stated characteristics) a 5'6'' 160 lbs goaltender, age 22 playing for Canada and drafted by Seattle. Earning average 10 TPE (at this time when I'm writing this review), a right hander who has 3 trophies and is good at defense. Cheers! 10/10

Mexico City Kings Season in Review, Now What?
Rhynex Entertainment replied to Arce's topic in Archived Media Spots
Very nice article! Very good read! Excellent usage of paragraph structuring, subtitles for each major paragraph, which makes it an easy read. Shout out recognitions are always nice, I personally think the whole team should get a koodo whenever a team finds success! Best of luck in the upcoming Dispersal draft and next season! 9/10 -

Very nice article. Great read! Well structured paragraphs, love the hyperlinks to major events (ie. Draft) and player profiles. Clear and concise. Best of luck in the VHLM dispersal draft and best of luck for next season! 9/10 -
With the end of the Season 81 VHLM playoffs and the Ottawa Lynx claiming the Founder's Cup in back-to-back seasons after beating the Las Vegas Aces 4 games to 2, we found time with one of the rising stars, a trade deadline pick up of the VHLM Las Vegas Aces, AirRig GoodBrandSun @Rhynex Entertainment. Reporter: Hello AirRig! It's good to see you again! What are your thoughts toward your first season in the VHLM? AG: Hello. It's been an amazing experience! I've learnt a great deal over the past few weeks, certainly a lot to improve upon, but I feel I'm heading in the right direction. Would have been better if we'd won the finals, but the Lynx were the favourites. Plus losing to Ottawa is not entirely a bad thing, who wouldn't want to watch one of your childhood teams win? Just would have been better if we won instead. Reporter: I've heard the Lynx were interested in your services as well, what made you choose Las Vegas when you had the chance to play for a hometown team and win a championship? AG: Winning a VHLM championship is nice, but my goal is definitely make and play in the VHL. Las Vegas promised me a lot of playing time to improve my game, and I feel that happened. I get drafted this offseason, we'll see where that goes. Reporter: Sounds good! Best of luck at the VHLM and VHLE draft! We look forward to seeing you play next season! AG: Thank you! The VHL Goalie Dilemma: Team by Team
Rhynex Entertainment replied to CowboyinAmerica's topic in Archived Media Spots
Very good article! Easy to read and very nicely structured with all the logos and information breakdowns and explanations. Very good use of bolding, sentence structure and colour coding as well. Very good read, looking like we have a lot of goalies and a lot of possibly looking for goalies as well. Perhaps NYA are looking to re-draft @Tate again? 10/10 -
Very nice article. Good read! When I saw the title, I was expecting something different Very well structured, easy to read. A very nice daily journal style narrative article. Expecting the series to go the long way. Look forward to seeing the best team win! 10/10

We are nearing the end of the first round of the VHLM playoffs in Season 81. We found time to speak with an upcoming VHLM draft eligible prospect, AirRig GoodBrandSun @Rhynex Entertainment. Currently playing for the VHLM Las Vegas Aces, AirRig GoodBrandSun has become a foundational piece on a team looking to go to the VHLM Finals and winning the VHLM championship. Reporter: Hello AirRig! It's good to see you again! Do you have a moment? What are your thoughts toward your first experience of the playoffs? AG: Hello. It's been an amazing experience so far! I'm having ups and downs but definitely a very good learning experience! Reporter: Las Vegas is looking to winning everything this season in the playoffs, this does not give you much time to play around and learn from mistakes. How are you going to help your team proceed in the playoffs? What changes have you made? AG: Like I said, it's been a wonderful experience. I'm playing with a wonderful group here in Vegas. We have a very good team, and an even better characters in the locker room. It was a tough two games in Philly with those two straight losses but we bounced back and that's what good teams do. I don't think I've been terrific but I also haven't harmed the team. Just got to play my game. Play one shift at a time. Reporter: Sounds good! You must be very busy with your match later today. Best of luck! AG: Thank you! [word count 252]

AirRig GoodBrandSun The GoodBrandSun Family have a heritage, generational lineage since the time of the British Colonials. They were a proud sports related family, where each generation had found themselves geniuses in any categories of sport! AirRig GoodBrandSun was born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. AirRig grew up playing in all sorts of different sports, unable to find what suited him the best. When AirRig was young, he had always been bigger than his peers. Easy to tell that AirRig found freedom to play big positions in many sport teams and leagues, whether it's American Football, Football (Soccer), Baseball, Basketball, and Hockey. AirRig have always loved the feeling of skidding across the ice and crashing the boards whenever he couldn't stop in his tracks, as he was never a really good skater. Mobility on ice is an issue for big fellas. Never the less, AirRig always took someone else out with him. Coincidentally, hockey have always been AirRig's first choice of sports to play in, even though AirRig has always been worse at hockey. Unlike his brothers who took the initiative to play in sports they excelled in, AirRig GoodBrandSun choice the sport of hockey. Day in and day out, AirRig could be found first at the rink early in the morning, even before the sun rise, and last to leave late at night after the sun set. His brothers teased him regularly and his family criticizes him as well, saying AirRig you're ruining our family name! Just go play Football (American), what you're good at! AirRig has always ignored them and did his thing. Played hockey. At age 13, AirRig went on boarding school to Western Canada to play hockey. Learned lots from his hockey family where he stayed. It was the good times, but as he never had a teacher for hockey, his skills were a tier behind. Unable to make the AAA teams, etc. AirRig found his passion playing against older men, whether it's community beer leagues or college students. AirRig had always looked older than his age, plus he had the size. Who would have guessed he was 16 playing against people a decade or more older than him! Age 19, AirRig finally found himself playing hockey against people who were more of his peers. AirRig has joint the NCAA college hockey after heading south of the border into the United States. For the first time in a long time, AirRig began to see a difference in his game. He's no longer a child in a man's body playing against men, he's playing against peers who are similar to himself, at least age-wise. From his experience playing against seniors who had years of talent, AirRig caught up on all the deficiencies of his previous lack of experience. AirRig learnt the importance of playing defense while skating against the older men as a teenager, and learnt the game from players who couldn't make it to the Pros but had the experience of trying and failing. As he played more against fairer competition, AirRig got better and better. He's now found himself playing in the VHLM as a free agent and heading into becoming a possible high draft pick in the upcoming VHLM draft. Only time will tell where AirRig's journey will go. Maybe the GoodBrandSun family will finally stop teasing and criticizing AirRig! Word count 557

With the end of the regular season in the VHLM, and the Season 81 VHLM playoffs underway, we found time to speak with an upcoming VHLM draft eligible prospect, AirRig GoodBrandSun @Rhynex Entertainment. Currently playing for the VHLM Western Conference Top Seat, Las Vegas Aces, AirRig GoodBrandSun found his way into the top 4 on a team with many, many defensive prospects. Reporter: Hello AirRig! Can we have a minute of your time? What are your thoughts toward your time in Las Vegas playing for the Aces? AG: Hello. Playing for Las Vegas have been one of the most intriguing experiences so far in my short hockey career! I signed a short one year deal and am having a blast! Learning lots and just playing the game I love. Reporter: Las Vegas is heading into the playoffs as the top seat in the Western Conference. How are you going to help your team proceed in the playoffs? AG: It's always fun to be able to play playoff hockey! I'm a big defense-first defenseman, so I'll do my best to provide bone crushing hits and shot blocks to help keep the puck out of the net. Just got to put my weight into the game and play my game. Keep the game simple and stupid. Reporter: What are your thoughts on your production in the 18 games you suited up for to end the regular season? How different would you play in the playoffs? AG: I liked how I've played so far. I think I've done alright. Just got to keep things simple and go out there and play hard every shift. Reporter: Thank you for your time! Best of luck in the playoffs! [word count 284]

S81 VHLM Three Featured Games: Pre-Christmas, Post-Christmas, Post-New Years With the end of the regular season in the VHLM for Season 81 and the soon to start of the Season 81 playoffs, let's take a look back at the past three weeks. We have three feature games in the last three weeks; a game from pre-Christmas, post-Christmas, and New Years. The first featured game would be the first game past Season 81 Trade Deadline. This game saw the VHLM Las Vegas Aces add two new faces and clinched playoffs with a 3 - 0 Win. Let's have a look back at Game 274 in the VHLM. A game between the Mexico City Kings and Las Vegas Aces. Game 274 of the VHLM, the 55th game for Las Vegas begins with Vegas out shooting Mexico City 11 to 5. Goaltender Boris Tsezar @comrade cat stood on his head as the game is kept even at 0 - 0. There were five penalties in the first period, ironically the Kings had three power plays oppose to the Aces' two power plays, but they were outshot in the period. The second period was a much more eventful period for the Las Vegas Aces. In fact all of the game's goals occurred during the second period. The Aces' Patric Twist @Patty opened the scoring, and the eventual game winner, with the game's only power play goal at 2:40 into the second period. Mexico City's Luca Accardi @LRJAwas off for Holding. Las Vegas' power play lasted 19 seconds. On the side note, Alex TheGreat @Alex Thegreat notched his happy 69 assist on Patric Twist's power play goal. We don't see another goal until much later in the period. The second period found two power plays for each team, before Las Vegas scored their second goal with 2:25 left in the period. CDS Leb @CDS_Leb scored their 18th of the season with that goal. At 19:30, with thirty seconds left in the second, the now suspended Mollieraf Kendcruz scored their 15th, the last goal of the game. Las Vegas outshot Mexico City 14 to 9 in the period. The third period may have been the most boring period of hockey in a very long time! Zero goals, five shots a piece. The Aces gave the Mexico City Kings all the chances to score and make a third period come back. The Vegas Aces took another three penalties in the third, however Mexico City finished 0 for 8 on the power play. Las Vegas Aces out shoots Mexico City Kings 30 to 19, Boris Tsezar stops 27 of 30 in the loss with Thomas Price @Thunderidge getting the shutout with 19 saves. Three Stars of the Game: 1 - Thomas Price (LVA) - 19 for 19 saves for the shutout and win 2 - CDS Leb (LVA) - 1 goal, 5 shots, +1 3 - Alex TheGreat (LVA) - 2 assists, 5 shots, +1 Additional Notes: First career VHLM games for Pete Mitchell @Crstats23 and AirRig GoodBrandSun @Rhynex Entertainment of the Las Vegas Aces. Las Vegas Aces kill off 8 of 8 penalty kill. Let's fast forward to after Christmas for our second featured game. Game 300 of the VHLM between Las Vegas Aces and the Saskatoon Wild. This is the 61st game for the Las Vegas Aces and also featured another Shutout win for Las Vegas' Thomas Price. First game after the Christmas break, Las Vegas crushes the Saskatoon Wild 5 - 0, no Christmas break rust for the Aces, but maybe you could not say the same for the Saskatoon Wild. Las Vegas dominates Saskatoon in the first period, outshooting the Wild 15 to 8, and outscoring 3 - 0. Julien Bernier @Julien_Bernier scored their 31st goal of the season 1:19 into the period. AirRig GoodBrandSun notched his first career VHLM point with an assist on the goal. The Aces and Wild trade penalties, with each team killing off the power plays. And then the Wild shot themselves in the foot when they took back to back penalties at 13:25 and 15:09 of the first period. AirRig GoodBrandSun scores back to back power play goals for his 1st and 2nd career VHLM goals. Coincidentally, both goals were assisted by Girts Galvins @Girts (their 33rd and 34th assists of the season), and Alex TheGreat (76 and 77th assists). Thomas Price shuts the door on the other end for the Aces, as Vegas carelessly took two penalties of their own 18:00 and 18:28 of the first period, which gave the Wild a two man advantage for the rest of the first period. The second period saw the Las Vegas Aces' continue their onslaught. Vegas Aces outshoot the Wild 18 to 4 in the period and extends their lead to five, although they don't do the scoring until late in the second period. Wild goaltender Dylan Dubnyk @ThatsGreissy gave it their all to keep the Wild in the game until 15:24 into the second period, where Saskatoon let's in their 3rd power play goal against of the night. Girts Galvin scores their 33rd on the power play. Julien Bernier follows up with their 32nd on the power play as well with 7 seconds left in the second period at 19:53. Las Vegas took one early penalty, followed by Saskatoon taking three penalties in the period. We have an even more forgettable and yawn-fest third period than what we experienced in our first featured game. Saskatoon Wild actually out shot Las Vegas 5 to 3 in the third period, but both teams failed to score. Las Vegas' Bobby Rockwell @Kairi took an interesting penalty late into the third at 15:28, an interesting call for Diving. Las Vegas finished the game with 36 shots, Dylan Dubnyk saved 31 of those in the Loss. Thomas Price Wins with a 17 save shutout. Three Stars of the Game: 1 - AirRig GoodBrandSun (LVA) - 2 goals, 1 assist, 4 shots, 3 hits, 6 block shots, and +1 (monstrous game) 2 - Julien Bernier (LVA) - 2 goals, 8 shots, +1 3 - Thomas Price (LVA) - 17 for 17 shutout win Additional Notes: Girts Galvins also had a monstrous game with 1 goal, 2 assists, 11 shots, 4 hits in the game. Las Vegas Aces went 4 for 6 on the power play and killed off all 6 penalties. AirRig GoodBrandSun scores first career VHLM goal and receives first career First Star of the Game honours. Our final featured game was the final game of the regular season for the Las Vegas Aces in Season 81 of the VHLM. Game 355 of Season 81 in the VHLM between the Miami Marauders and the Las Vegas Aces. Now this game was definitely the most exciting game of the three. A high scoring thriller that involved a total of 12 goals! 15 players had points, 7 different goal scorers, and 11 players had multiple points in the game! It was not a very good outing for either goaltenders in this one! While the final box score would seem that the Las Vegas Aces had full control of the game, that wasn't exactly the case. Although Las Vegas dominated the shots throughout the game, the Marauders were very resilient and fought back valiantly to stay in the game. Las Vegas' Adeline Delle Donne @Dtaylopened the scoring with their 41st goal of the season 7:11 into the first period. Vegas' lead did not last long as Girts Galvins infracted with a High sticking penalty 40 seconds later at 7:51. The Marauders' Charles Williams @Nosam_13 scored his 20th of the season on the power play (8:25) to tie the game at 1 - 1. Julien Bernier scores their 39th of the season to give Las Vegas the lead again at 15:34. The Aces lead the Marauders 2 - 1 after one period; shots were 11 to 5 in favours of the Aces, in the period. Vegas had the only two penalties in the period. The second period was definitely the thriller period of the game! When the Las Vegas Aces seem to put the game away, the Miami Marauders turned on a gear and stormed their way back into the game, deeply surprising the Las Vegas Aces. Adeline Delle Donne makes it 3 - 1 with their 2nd goal (42nd of the season) of the night 1:43 into the second period, and quickly makes it 4 - 1 Vegas shortly after at 3:17 of the 2nd period, completing their natural Hat Trick (43rd of the season)! Las Vegas wasn't done yet, Girts Galvins added to the Vegas lead (5 - 1) with their 43rd of the season on the power play at 10:24, and two minutes and four seconds later Adeline Delle Donne makes it 6 - 1 for Vegas (12:28 into the second period) with their 44th goal and 4th of the game! Most games would be long over by then, but not for the Marauders and their never give up attitude and philosophy. Hammer Voss @BOOM the fully raw defensive prospect scores their career's first goal on the power play at 15:42 of the second period to make a small dent in Las Vegas' lead (6 - 2 Vegas). Hammer Voss wasn't done there! Three minutes, three seconds later (18:45), Hammer Voss scores his second career goal and second of the night on the power play once more, cutting Vegas' lead in halve to 6 - 3. At 19:38, just moments before the end of the second period, the Marauders' Jeremy D @lioneatingsnail, who took a penalty that lead to Las Vegas' earlier power play goal, scores their 39th goal of the season to pull the Marauders within two (6 - 4 Vegas) and bringing the Marauders right back into the game! Las Vegas went 1 for 1 on the power play, and Miami scored on two of the three man advantages they received in the second period. Las Vegas outshot Miami 15 to 8 in the period, shot count is 26 to 13. Las Vegas Aces' coach was clearly not happy in the team's effort in the second period, as Adeline Delle Donne comes out flying to score the Million Dollar goal, 45th of the season and 5th of the night, just 17 seconds into the third period (0:17) to restore Las Vegas' lead to three, making the game 7 - 4. And CDS Leb made it 8-4 with their 24th goal of the season at 9:20. However, Las Vegas kept Miami in the game with their undisciplined play, going to the box three straight times, including two penalties that coincidentally occurred right after they scored a goal. AirRig GoodBrandSun for Tripping at 0:25 and Calen McKay @Kendrick for Slashing at 9:56. Thanks to their tightened up defensive team play, and highly offensive zone time, the Las Vegas Aces held the Miami Marauders off the score sheet in the third period to take the game 8 - 4. It also did not help that the Marauders took two penalties later in the game that killed all their momentum and any hopes of coming back in the game. Las Vegas out shot Miami 21 to 10 in the third period, and 47 to 23 in the game. Miami Mauraders' goaltender Ben Dahl @Nothing but goals stopped 39 of 47 shots, while Las Vegas Aces' goaltender Travis Clark @ClarkClanT made 19 saves from 23 shots to win the game. Three Stars of the Game: 1 - Adeline Delle Donne (LVA) - 5 goals, 11 shots, 4 hits, +4 2 - Girts Galvins (LVA) - 1 goal, 3 assists, 9 shots, 1 hit and blocked shot, +4 3 - Alex TheGreat (LVA) - 4 assists, 3 shots, 2 hits, 19 of 31 faceoff wins, +4 Additional Notes: Hammer Voss (MIA) scores first career VHLM goal, finished the game with 2 goals on 2 shots, game high 8 hits, 1 blocked shot. Both teams scored at over 33% efficiency on the power play. John Doe from Las Vegas, Nevada won $1 Million from Safeway Score and Win after Adeline Delle Donne (LVA) scored 5 goals in the game. Safeway's owner is very unhappy at Adeline Delle Donne's in-game production after the game. What's next for the two teams? Miami Marauders are back to the drawing board. It looks to be a long offseason, but the good news is the upcoming VHLM draft appears to be very stacked with lots of high ended talent. Perhaps they may try take and steal one of, or perhaps all of, the three draft eligible players on the Las Vegas Aces? Las Vegas Aces are off to the VHLM playoffs. Las Vegas Aces are prime for a long playoff run, they finished second overall in the standings in the VHLM, only behind the Ottawa Lynx. Las Vegas Aces own the best record in the Western Conference and goes into the playoffs with the winner of the Season 81 Ethan Osborne Trophy and Vladimir Boomchenko Trophy in Alex TheGreat.
