  1. I would also pitch in to help reach our goal
  2. Excellent read! A very well written article. It is very tough writing long articles! Very good sentence structure for easy read. Not sure what it was like 3 weeks ago, but now LVA has a log jam in the back end Keep up the good work! 9.5/10
  3. Excellent read! Very nice article! Love the showing of stats comparison and news report. Could have structured the "statement" a bit to make it easier to read as opposed to it looking like a block of text. Good use of colour coding to distinguish the comparison. 9/10
  4. It's a big day for Big Boy D-man, AirRig GoodBrandSun! @Rhynex Entertainment Welcome to the Las Vegas Aces! The Las Vegas Aces have a lot of defensemen already and catches the eye of recent college graduate and free agent AirRig GoodBrandSun. AirRig GoodBrandSun is a right handed, big stay-at-home defenseman, with some offensive upside. Standing at 6'5'' and 220 pounds, AirRig and his massive stature is poised to go head to head with the opposing teams' top offensive stars. (79) After being seasoned with college pedigree, we should expect good defensive plays from the big defenseman from Canada. Scouted as a big stay at home defenseman with offensive upside, AirRid GoodBrandSun has good Defensive IQ, and is a decent checker already. Offensively, there is a lot of room for improvement. In addition, there is a lot of room for improvement with his skating and puck control, which is to be expected for someone with his stature. Most big bodies don't come with outstanding skating. (84) We should expect lots of penalty killing time for AirRid with the Las Vegas Aces as he signed as a free agent for the rest of Season 81 in the VHLM. Interesting times are coming back to the land of wealth, and we may have a superstar defender of the future joining our league as well! But then, big defensive projects also tend to not turn out as expected. Only time will tell! (73) [Word Count: 236]
  5. @16z @JB123 @Alex @Moon Thank you for all your interests! At this point in time, I will be heading to LVA where I'm promised lots of playing time. Please consider me for the VHLM draft!
  6. We are at the trade deadline in the VHL, in Season 81. The final stretch of the season is coming upon us, and at the same time a new batch of newbies are also upon us as well! Coming off his final semester of college and heading into the winter holidays, we caught up with college standout and recent graduate, @Rhynex Entertainment AirRig GoodBrandSun! AirRig GoodBrandSun is a towering defender from Canada, who stands at 6'5'' and 220 lbs. A massive frame with conquering body checks, still working on his skating and shooting from the scouting reports, but big defensemen don't usually have good mobility to begin with, so much to be expected with that regards. Reporter: Hello AirRig! Do you have a minute for a short interview? Congratulations on your successful college degree! What are your thoughts on turning pro and heading to the VHL? AG: Hello. That's an interesting thought, turning pro. I just finished my degree, and at an interesting time as well. Not the usual Summer closure, eh? The VHL is an interesting choice! I've heard a lot about the league, lots of great hockey stars have played in the VHL! I'll probably need to try out for the minor league first, but that's a possible route to go for the meantime. Reporter: Sounds like you've done your research! Why don't you tell us a little bit about yourself? How you find your game and what kind of player you wish to be like? AG: I've done a bit of research. Got to have a look into the future! Well I'm a big guy and I play defence. A defence-first type of guy. I'll step up for my teammates. Play good in my own zone and get the pucks though on net in the o-zone. Get that big hit when I get the chance. You know, the nitty-gritty stuff. Reporter: It's definitely going to be a different kind of game from what you've been experiencing in college. How are you going to adapt to changes? What will you work on first to help you challenge for playing time in the big leagues and play against the best of the best? AG: Well that's hard to say, I haven't really experienced what it's like to play in the league yet! I've heard players are a lot faster and that it's a pretty offensive scoring league. Not much of a defense, but maybe I could change that? Then again, I could be wrong and maybe everyone is super defensive. Regardless, one thing I know for sure, and that It's going to be interesting, that's for sure. Reporter: How do you like your game will translate against players as good or even better than you? AG: Well, I'll just focus on my game and worry about that later. I'm a big guy. So, I'll just though my body around and try to stay out of trouble. Keep my game simple and see how things go. Reporter: Have you thought of where you would go first? AG: I'm not sure yet, but I've heard it's pretty nice in Vegas. Reporter: Best of luck AirRig! We hope to see you again later! AG: Thank you! 10. First week report for VHL Season 81 Season 81 of the VHL has begun, and the first week of games had just finished. We found Rhynex Entertainment @Rhynex Entertainmentt, newly appointed Captain of the VHL New York Americans, whom is off to a fantastic start to his final season in the VHL. Reporter: Hello Rhynex! Good to see you! First of all congrats on your successful first week of Season 81! You are having a fantastic start to the season, any comments to your fast start? RE: Hello. Thank you! Yes! I'm having an unbelievable start to the season! Phoenix (Dawson) @Toastt and Jon (Webber) @Webberj have both been unbelievable! We've built instant chemistry! They're both very smart and skilled players, very good skaters and scorers. It's good to be able to put up those points against some really good teams. Reporter: You are currently leading all players this season with 11 goals, 14 assists for 25 points in 11 games. You haven't had such an incredible showing since your rookie and sophomore seasons. What have been the changes? How are you producing so effectively? RE: Well, like I said previously, Phoenix and Jon have been amazing. We're all in the top ten in points right now, which is incredible! I would say the biggest changes would be the decrease in my role. I only need to focus in scoring now that I've been moved to the wing for the first time in my career. Phoenix is a fantastic passer. Makes my life a lot easier, just got to tap the puck in sometimes. I also don't have to worry about winning the face-offs, takes a lot of the workload. Reporter: Congratulations on being appointed Captain of the New York Americans for Season 81! We're heard a lot of rumours of potential trades involving yourself. Any comments? RE: Thank you! It's an honour to captain the Americans in my last season. I've played my entire career here in New York. It's been a fantastic place to play! I'll let GM @MexicanCow123 decide what he believes to be best of the team. But we're off to a good start, don't count us out just yet! Reporter: Thank you for your time! Good luck for the rest of the season! [word count 378]
  11. 1. As expected, we're just that good 2. M V P, better than expected. Maybe should have converted to the wing earlier 3. Break 50 goals and 100 points (on pace to break more than that so yeah) 4. Not applicable 5. Always, but naturally next Wednesday 6. to be honest, I want 2021 to be over already
  12. Yes, "non existent" New York Team indeed
  13. SITR: Pre-Season 81 Rhynex Entertainment Career Overview A look back at the career of VHL veteran Rhynex Entertainment @Rhynex Entertainment. We, here at Stick In The Rink remember featuring a young S73 VHLM draftee, Rhynex Entertainment. Now with Season 81 beginning shortly, we once again re-visit Rhynex Entertainment, but this time in the twilight of his VHL career. His retirement season, season 81. Centre, 6'0'', 176 lbs, Rhynex Entertainment, current team: New York Americans (VHL) Rhynex was a highly touted Canadian prospect from the Midget Juniors. Just barely 16 years of age when he first got drafted and started his career playing hockey in the VHLM, time sure flies and we're already at the end of the line, 9 season later. Rhynex is a player loved by his coaches, a mega workhorse; first on the ice and last off every practice. A dream Center for most coaches with his work. Rhynex has shown to be skilled on the dot, with a fantastic face-off percentage. Rhynex averaged 54.83% in Season 80 in the VHL. Rhynex Entertainment was drafted 55th Overall into the VHLM in Season 73, and then 27th Overall into the VHL by the New York Americans in Season 74. In the VHLM, Rhynex played for the Las Vegas Aces, where he had a fantastic two seasons, including winning the Vladimir Boomchenko Trophy as the VHLM league champion in passing the puck and assists in Season 74. The same season, Rhynex Entertainment tried his hardest to carry an underwhelming Team Canada Juniors Team, scoring 7 goals and 12 points in 8 games in the world stage. In Season 75, as a rookie of the VHL with the New York Americans, Rhynex Entertainment had a fantastic rookie season. Rhynex led all rookies with 35 goals and 89 points in 72 games. However, Rhynex did not get a single vote in Season 75's Rookie of the Year votes. To this day, it's a shadow mystery, but that's a story for another time. Rhynex followed up his sophomore season, with the best season in his career, thus far. Rhynex broke the 40 goal barrier in Season 76, scoring 44 goals, and added along 53 assists for 97 points in 72 games. Rhynex also had a career low in PIMs with 52 for the season, while shooting the most with 478 shots. Not to mention the 45 shot blocks, which is currently also still a career high. Nothing to say about New York American's success, as Rhynex Entertainment does not see any VHL Playoffs games until Season 78, where he had a short 4 games stint. Rhynex did have 3 goals and 8 points in those 4 playoff games though. Ahead of his final season in the VHL, Season 81, Rhynex Entertainment has been a career 30+ goal scorer and point per game plus player. Worse season came in Season 79, with 31 goals and 74 points, though Rhynex did have a career year in Hits, with 178, and also career low in Shots taken with only 283. Rhynex currently has a career 209 goals, 294 assists, and 503 points in 432 career VHL games. These stats actually puts Rhynex Entertainment at 9th overall on New York Americans' franchise Goal Scoring leader board; 7th overall on New York Americans' franchise Assist leader board; and also 7th overall on New York Americans' franchise Points leader board. As of right now, Rhynex Entertainment stands at 949 TPE, heading into his final season, Season 81. What kind of production will Rhynex Entertainment have in his final moments in the VHL? We will revisit this question after the season is over! [Word count 604]
  14. Great article! Very nice read, especially the short heartfelt letter! Nice structuring, easy to read! And it's also an interview 10/10
  15. Very nice read! Love the story style narrative and character introduction. Easy to read. Unlikely to get a chance to play with you, but best of luck and bring glory to NYA in the future! 10/10
  16. With Season 81 starting soon as the off season is ending, we found time to speak with VHL New York Americans veteran and star, Rhynex Entertainment @Rhynex Entertainment Reporter: Hello Rhynex! Do you have a minute for a short interview? We've heard you will be hanging up your skates after the season, what are your thoughts and preparation heading into your final season in the VHL? RE: Hello. It has been a long tenure with the New York Americans! This will be my 7th season, and I have to say I'm pretty fortunate. People don't normally get to play their whole career with the same franchise, I've seen greats move on during the tenure here. With Red Lite @Tate moving on and retiring after last season, it is time to leave New York in the hands of the future after one more season. Reporter: What are the plans for season 81, your final season in the VHL? RE: To be honest, there's not much planned for season 81, New York is heading back to refreshing the cupboards with the departure and trades of (Zeedayno) Chara @Jubis and (Thadius) Sales @thadthrasher, along with Luke (Thornton) @Jtv123 as well. It's going to be a tough and long season, but that's okay. I'm at my twilight of my career. It's just time to stack the stats, help the new players grow and build on the franchise records. Reporter: It's definitely going to be a season to remember! We hope to see you "entertain" once more before it's lights out! Best of luck from Season 81! RE: Thank you! [word count 266]
  17. 1. I don't have a PC this week so came back as an alumni, you may ignore my PC 2. Azarath Metrion Zinthos (bonus points if you know where that is from) 3. Normally similar for relative production but when you're not having a good time/struggling I would use a different style 4. breaking 40G 100P in final season 5. The gift of winning 6. well that gotta be me right? 7. this is actually very hard to do as bottles don't normally spray like that
  18. Is this a win for Vancouver, or a win for Thad, or a win for New York? Well @thadthrasher you no longer have an excuse for losing games and being Swiss cheese
