Also funny to see that New York moves up two spots and then trades the pick away All in all good article but could have tagged the players next to their player names for easier recognition. 10/10

Very good article! Nicely structured, and also hjave their team colours for each teams respective representations. Interesting to find that Calgary's last cup victory was in Season 62, Davo's last cup victory was in Season 61, and New York has not made the finals since Season 60. S60, S61, S62.. that cannot be more of a coincidence, right? All in all very nicely written article 10/10

New York Americans Offseason Prep to Season 80 Big week for the New York Americans. Not only do the New York Americans have a new bench boss and General Manager in @MexicanCow123, as big tenure boss and New York legend @Esso2264 steps down after a big dozen seasons as General Manager of the New York Americans, the Americans also made a few big changes to the roster heading in to the 80th season of the VHL. To begin, the New York Americans trimmed their roster down to a line up of 5 forwards, 3 defense, and one goaltender, and then they traded away their Season 80 first round, 3rd overall pick (which turns up becoming Saku Kotkakoivu @DollarAndADream ), and a conditional Season 81 first round pick to the Calgary Wranglers, for two Season 80 third round picks (Calgary's and their very own New York's 3rd round picks; which were used to draft Left Winger Ernie King Jr @Greg Ernest 40th overall and Defenseman NineIQPro @NineIQ v2 37th overall respectively), Superstar Forward Left Winger Luke Thornton @Jtv1233 and also the return of former New York American and fan favourite Star Defenseman Cowboy Prout @Prout. Making their roster heading into Season 80 with a standard 6 forwards, 4 defense and one goaltender. Returning forwards include Center Phoenix Dawson @Toast and Right Winger Jon Webber @Webberj, both returning for their second season with the Americans. Center Calvin Hobbes @2hawk will return for his third season, their Captain and superstar Right Winger Red Lite @Tate will return for his 5th season, and finally after signing a lifer and retirement package contract, aging star Center Rhynex Entertainment @Rhynex Entertainment will return for his 6th season. In defense, it was interesting to see the New York Americans let go of star Defenseman Chicken Wing @chikn. They will bring back The Loch Ness Monster @LuluSalesAway for his second sophomore season, Kosmo Kramerev @Mongoose87 for his 3rd season with the Americans, and star defenseman Zeedayno Chara @Jubis for this 4th season as a New York American. Finally, the New York Americans bring back their superstar in the making goaltender Thadius Sales @thadthrasher, who has a lot to prove as he tries to make it into the playoffs for the second time in his 5th season in the VHL. With the roster near completion, there will be a lot of noise coming in the big apple as the New York Americans have high expectations in making the playoffs again, after missing out again in season 79 of the VHL. There will also be little excuses for their veteran Center Rhynex Entertainment to not return to form, with his rapid decline in play over the past seasons, especially with the addition of Luke Thornton making it two superstar wingers for the former Vladimir Boomchenko Trophy winner to pass to. However, one might say Center Phoenix Dawson might be taking the reigns as the team's top center, so we may see an even bigger decline in production to the Entertainer, who has been a consistent 30+ goal scorer and point per game producer. All in all, we know this will be a very interesting and possibly the most entertaining season coming up for the New York Americans. In hopes for a very long season in New York. Go NYA Go! Good article! Must be tough on the 2 time defending champs to have 2 star forwards reaching out to free agency! Easy to read, sentence structure and use of bold and colour. Could have been longer and included more players. Could include runner-up teams. 8/10

1. My player is doing alright. Looks pretty good on the stats leaderboard but if you look at the small stuff you will still see that my player has a long way to go with inconsistency. I've already have 4+ games with 0 points. 2. I don't mind a new league in VHLE but I think it should not be a league in-between VHLM and VHL. I don't like how there is an upper limit to the TPE there in VHLE as well. 3. I don't understand. Were there teams gone? 4. I did not vote. Did not know we had one. 5. VHL S78 New York Americans Week 1 Featured Game Our first featured game (Sunday night game) for the New York Americans in Season 78 comes in what New York hopes to be the start of a new winning streak. Featured Game 68 between visiting New York Americans and the Home team, Prague Phantoms, showed to be an outstanding and entertaining game! A game that had an impressive goaltending duel between New York's Thadius Sales @thadthrasher and Prague's Jacob Carson @jacobcarson877. Certainly a chance match for the Americans as the Phantoms chose to play their back up for the night, and the struggling Americans took advantage of the inter-conference match up to take an important 2 points early in the season. This New York Victory comes on the backs of superb goaltending and massive games from Defenseman Kosmo Kramerev @Mongoose87 and Centre Rhynex Entertainment @Rhynex Entertainment. And to make things even more interesting and impressive, the victory comes in the form of a come from behind win! Game 68 begins with a goal at 5:27 into the First Period from the hungry Rhynex Entertainment who was shut down in the previous game, a loss to the Los Angeles Stars back stopped by Goaltender Doug Dimmadome @Esso2264 (go figure!). Rhynex Entertainment's team leading 6th goal of the season. This followed with a trial for the Americans, as New York faces penalty trouble, being nabbed for 4 straight penalties in the First Period, which turned out to be very costly, as Prague goes 2 for 4 on the man advantage with two Power Play Goals by Fat palloon (2) @UnkemptCL4PTP and Dan Baillie Jr (3) @wcats. These Power Play Goals came less than 3 minutes apart, with the first coming 2 minutes after New York's goal at 7:40 into the First. The Phantoms look to have full control of the game, as Goaltender Thadius Sales became New York's only saving grace making 21 saves in the First. New York was outshot 23 to 7 after 20. 1st period 1. New York Americans , Rhynex Entertainment 6 (Kosmo Kramerev 6, Brussels Sprout 2) at 5:27 2. Prague Phantoms , Fat palloon 2 (Braxton Hunter 4, Dan Baillie Jr 5) at 7:40 (PP) 3. Surprisingly, or not surprisingly, New York takes over the shot count with 18, as opposed to Prague's 11. But the score remains to Prague's advantage, now being a 2 goal lead at 3 - 1. 2nd period 4. Prague Phantoms , John LeClair II 3 (Thomas Landry II 7, Jim Bob 3) at 17:40 Penalties : Chicken Wing (NYA) for Slashing (Minor) at 2:19, Riley Knight Gee (PRG) for Fighting (Major) at 4:40, Tanky (NYA) for Fighting (Major) at 4:40, Jim Bob (PRG) for Tripping (Minor) at 13:31, Dan Baillie Jr (PRG) for High sticking (Minor) at 14:00, Fat palloon (PRG) for Hooking (Minor) at 18:52 Early into the Third Period, just 2:45 into the Third, New York Americans' Captain Red Lite @Tate cuts Prague's lead by halve with his 5th of the season. Plenty of shots from both teams as New York musters 21 shots in the period and Prague with their own 14 bombers all stopped by Thadius Sales. Rhynex Entertainment finally completes the comeback, tying the game at 14:17 in the Third with his second of the game and 7th of the season. New York faces a scare late in the Third, with a penalty by Star Defenseman Latrell Mitchell @dasboot with less than 2 minutes to go (@18:35). A penalty that continued into Overtime. 3rd period 5. New York Americans , Red Lite 5 (Kosmo Kramerev 7, Rhynex Entertainment 7) at 2:45 6. New York Americans , Rhynex Entertainment 7 (Red Lite 4, Kosmo Kramerev at 14:17 Penalties : RJ Thatcher (NYA) for Holding Stick (Minor) at 4:14, Zachariah Kisslinger (PRG) for Holding (Minor) at 15:04, Latrell Mitchell (NYA) for Interference (Minor) at 18:35 The New York Americans kill off the penalty, giving Latrell Mitchell a sigh of relief, and the Star of the Game, Rhynex Entertainment ends the game with a thriller Hat Trick Goal with 18 seconds to go in Overtime. A game winner at 4:42 into Overtime giving New York a much needed 2 points and their 5th win of the season. Overtime #1 7. New York Americans , Rhynex Entertainment 8 (Kosmo Kramerev 9, Latrell Mitchell at 4:42 Penalties : No Penalty Thadius Sales finishes the game with an incredible 47 saves on 50 shots; Jacob Carson had an amazing 43 of 47 saves. Three Stars of the game goes to 1st Star Rhynex Entertainment (3 Goals, 1 Assist), 2nd Star Kosmo Kramerev (4 Assists), and 3rd Star Red Lite (Goal and Assist), all with a Plus 4 for the night. Surprisingly, both goaltenders were left out of the three Stars selection, especially Thadius Sales who stole the game by keeping New York in the game when they were clearly out.
