  1. No LICK for me??? Gorlab... our friendship bro....
  2. Dropped... Like A Stone The 76th Victory Hockey League came and went and I was picked 16th overall, a far cry from where I was drafted in the VHLm. I had much lower expectations while I was in the minor leagues and going 78th overall when it was not exclusively my draft class being selected seemed more realistic. Meanwhile I truly did not believe that I would fall as far as to the end of the first round -- and all the power to my current team as they were able to get me at a value that I perceived lower than what I deserved. Having been the 10th highest earner thus far in the draft, to be picked at 16th was interesting as people know where my ceiling is as long as SBA-VHL affiliation will not abruptly end yet again. Prior to the draft I talked to very few General Managers and legitimately thought I would be gone in the middle of the first round given some of the conversations I had with various General Managers as well as them mentioning that they would look into trading up/back in to the draft in order to acquire me. To be completely honest, I do understand that I have my own red flags, however I truly did not expect to be passed upon 15 times in this draft and am extremely happy to have been drafted by the Vancouver Wolves and to play for Beaviss. Coming into the draft I knew he teams that were interested in me and I legitimately was most interested in the Wolves due to their history (formerly the Meuete) as well as my relationships with previous managers there. Due to their recent success I know that I can put my faith in their management and know that my player will be put in the best position to succeed. Coming into the draft I expected to be stuck at 250 and play another year in the VHLm however I am excited to get my VHL journey started already and know that I have what it takes to be serviceable in my first year. Knowing that I will have to take a major step to be a solid piece in the VHL next year will be challenging and I will have to push myself much harder than I had previously. Having been an absolute max earner for at least over a month now has been fun and challenging and I continue to strive to reach those thresholds. While I would love to be an impact player, I understand that earning does not equal the production of the player and having a lot of STHS experience in the past I hope that I could hopefully create a plus output player quite easily. As a whole, I was extremely disappointed to fall as low as I had in the draft, despite knowing how many great members there are in my draft. I also know that falling so low in the draft is also a blessing to my current organization and I hope that I am the piece that exceeds expectations significantly in order to have the team easily jump to championship contention in the future.
  3. I go under the same username, however I understand the Beo mix up since I claimed an article he posted but I wrote! Excited to get to work with this young core!
  4. Lets goooooo another championship!
  5. 1) Oh it felt amazing! We finally were able to win and all the hard work paid off 2) Unsure, there are a few and I don't want to put them out there too early. 3) Strip club 4) I'm going to be training, I need to work had to get to the VHL level. 6) Obviously, sadly I will not be able to stay down but we'll still be great!
  6. Damn, hopefully drafted earlier than expected!
  7. Would love to take part!
  8. Prepping For The Draft This has been a very weird experience for me leading into the draft. This time around in the VHL I flew under the radar prior to the VHLm draft and suddenly am popping up as a potential first round talent. Being drafted is actually something fairly foreign to me as oftentimes I have stuck by the SBA and usually I hold a GM role and thus my player is not involved in the draft. Receiving PMs from various front offices has also been intriguing as during my time as a GM in a different league I typically found them quite useless when deciding between a small pool of guys. The difference here is that the VHL draft pool is much larger and in my opinion outside of the very top not extremely differentiated thus as a GM you must hit on the guys outside of the top five and then you can find some amazing prospects to continue your organizations' success. In terms of where I believe I will go in the draft, I believe that I could be a late riser for sure. I have earned near the max and have showed great activity. I hope to get another year in the VHLm (and may have to shave TPE to do that) but I will tackle that when I get there.
  9. Damn rough ass first period
  10. 1 more! 1 more! 1 more! 1 more!
  11. The Kman from GM leagues?
  12. damn, wanted 2
  13. 1. He's been holding up pretty well! Considering how he started the year to now, it is amazing! 2. Sadly not too interested in a minor league spot, maybe one day I'd love to have a jump the majors. 3. I actually would, I used to sometimes in the SBA. Unsure what I would name it, probably something not too fun haha 4, I can't just choose one, but I'd say maybe the Legion to deal with some unfinished business there. 5. Somewhere warm, I'd love some warm weather 6. Add another in Philly!
  14. Cool to see I'll be going to New York
  15. On To The Next Round Even though it ended in five games, it certainly was not as easy as it may have seemed. We were able to escape the Yukon Rush in five games and come out on top and find our way to the the finals, the goal we have had for a while. Often times finding ourselves behind in terms of shots, we were able to squeak away wins when we needed it. Whether it was to win by one or two goals, it did not matter as we needed to get to the finals to be able to put up our best fight in that final round. It has been incredible seeing my improvement from the regular season to the playoffs. Finishing the regular season with 13 points in 72 games, it has been insane how my role has expanded and how I have tallied 8 points in 9 games in the playoffs. Registering myself as a plus six, I know that my impact has been felt for my team and that I am a crucial part of the team. Knowing these things, my development has become even more important and knowing that each time I practice I am getting better in game. Hopefully in the finals my large impact can continue and we can bring a trophy back to Philly!
  16. Welll shiddddd since when have you been this good at graphics? Gonna start with the background. It is beautifully layered and I can tell the stock work on this was well thought out. The shapes behind the render are interesting and add depth to Seguin. The text could use somme work however I think it is tremendous given the style of the sig. The blots of coloring throughout help add overall depth to the sig. Finally the work on the render an blending him in is well done, he doesn't stick out like a sore thumb nor is he faded out. It could use a little more strength on lighting to bring my eyes towards his face but that is my only "complaint" Well done man. 9.5/10
  17. Very well done graphic creativity wise, I really enjoy how you went from having what would have been a simple render with a background and was able to flush out the crowd and focus the eyes towards the render. I would say that the effects are slightly overdone, the face is distracting however I understand the appeal of that in terms of creativity. In addition, great job on the jersey swap! 8/10
  18. on to the next one!
  19. come on! 1 more dub!
  20. 1) I think you summed it up right there, a sweep was perfect. We were dominant and now we can wait for our next opponent. 2) I love how everyone leaves it out there, our doctor's get us back to being somewhat healthy and we go out and do it agagin. 3) Hopefully well, we are the team to beat in my opinion. 4) Nothing really, the talk really belongs on the ice 5) Nothing, I don't celebrate haha! 6) Lose yourself to dance
  21. Draft lottery tournament? sheeesh
  22. knock, knock, knock it out
  23. Game Winner With the start of the playoffs comes a lot of pressure, especially since we are a top team and I was moved up the third line. While I have been saying that I have been mainly training for next year, I guess it was just me lying to myself in order to find that extra motivation to become an even better player this season. Through two playoffs games thus far I had scored three points, one of which was a game winning goal to give my team the win. This has been a tremendous experience and hopefully I can carry this momentum to the next season and become a point per game player like I had hoped to be. In addition, I hope that this game winner will help propel my draft stock further upwards and could hopefully cement myself as a first round pick. I have now shown that I have a clutch gene and can be someone to be relied upon in playoff moments in the future.Despite thinking about the future and the VHL, I have to remain grounded and focus on the next game ahead. No matter what, I have another year in the VHLm and nothing would feel better than staying in the VHLm after becoming a champion already.
  24. gwg LFG!
